Chapter 4 - Should I kill them for you ?

They left the station in their van fully armed and stopped around Mr Simon's place. 

 "will we be able to pull this off ?'',asked Stephanie nervously

        "Are you getting nervous ?" Scott asked 

  "yes....kind of" she replied 

"But , don't you think we need backup ?”

  “We can't afford to lose them" Ray said

            "Don't worry about that”

 “Backup is in place, they'll move in once i give them heads up”,replied Scott

         "Okay,we just have to focus on getting them'' added Frank

  Few minutes later, Mr Simon was seen walking out of his place. He got into a truck and another man in an helmet got into the truck's container

               "Gosh....that sly old man !”

 “He's really an accomplice”

 “This is unbelievable !" Stephanie  uttered

      "A truck with red container will be moving out soon, that's our target'' he said on the walkie talkie

              The truck was moving out and Scott's team were quietly trailing it. All of a sudden, two police cars blocked the road and the officer alighted, aiming at the truck. As soon as he heard the blowing sound of the siren, Mr Simon's son jumped out of the container but was thrown down by Ray who was already waiting for him. Mr Simon and his son were arrested immediately at the scene.

         They were both dragged away by others while Scott and Stephanie were gathering evidence from the truck's container. They found five different kitchen knives stained with blood placed on a desk in the container

               "There are supposed to be two knives here , how come there are five ?'' Stephanie wondered 

     "This mean there are still more victims whose bodies are yet to be found or they might still be alive",Scott picked up the knives and placed them in the evidence box

            They found more of the restaurant's bag in the container.

"This container is practically where he's been living",Stephanie said as she found a bible and put it inside the evidence box

               "There should be more evidence here such as a laptop or a phone",Scott uttered as he kept checking every nook and crannies of the container

       "You're right”

  “They must have stalked their victims before taking action but there's not even a photograph here'',Stephanie added 

   They came out of the container and checked the truck several times but found nothing. So, they returned to the station.

            "We have a problem,sir !",Frank rushed toward them

  "what's it ?",Scott asked

            “You gotta see this !",Frank replied as he collected the evidence box from his hand and led the way 

              "So, what's the issue here ?",asked Scott as he was staring at Ray 

  "The man we arrested with Mr Simon'',uttered Ray

           "What about him ?",Scott asked 

  "He is Mr Allen",Ray retorted 

           "Mr Allen ?",asked Scott as he was trying to figure out who that could be

              "The husband of Ms Allen that was murdered along with Mr Peter in the hotel room",added Ray

   "What !",exclaimed Stephanie

               "Darn it !'',Scott dashed into the interrogation room 

   He barged into the interrogation room and grabbed a seat after dropping a file on the desk

       "So, you're in this with the old man ?",Scott asked as he opened the file

                  "Oh....the old man ?”

        “Well, I guess I am",Allen said with a smile on his face

"Of course, it's quite unexpected”

   “So, how does it feel to play around with us ?",Scott asked looking serious 

        "Oh....it's quite thrilling”

   “I'm having so much fun thanks to you guys" he replied with a smile

                "Alright”

   “So, tell me where the other victims are ?",Scott asked while gazing at him

         "The other victims ?”

  “You should find them yourselves”

“It wouldn't be fun anymore if i tell you where they are",he replied and laughed out as loud as he could 

  "Hmm.... I see”

      “You murdered those people brutally, you must have had a lot fun while killing them",Scott said

         "Of course, you have no idea how thrilling it was to see them begging for their worthless lives",Allen replied

     "Alright, enjoy your stay here",Scott picked up the file and walked out of the interrogation room

             Ray and others have been watching the interrogation from a monitor

"That scum isn't speaking up”

     “This won't be easy" Ray uttered

          "So, what do you guys think ?" Scott threw a question at them

 "Of course, finding the other victims come first",Frank quickly answered

       "Hmm.That's right”

 “But, what do you think of his responses during the interrogation ?",Scott asked

                   "Hmm , I found out he's a total psychopath",Ray replied

    "Gosh , everyone knows that already",Frank scoffed

            "Can you tell us what you found out , sir ?",Stephanie demanded

"Allen is not the culprit",Scott replied

        "What !",Frank was perplexed

 "But,how's that possible ?",Stephanie asked

              "He even admitted to the charges”

 “Are you sure about this, sir ?",Ray asked in confusion

       "If you look at the three victims, they were stabbed multiple times and died from excessive blood lost according to the autopsy reports”

“The culprit was deluded”

   “He left the verse of the bible at the scene to show that he punished them for their sin as he believed”

    “Stabbing them multiple times was his way of expressing his anger”

   “He doesn't killed them for fun”

  “He murdered them in such a brutal way to show his anger",Scott explained

                 "But Allen claimed he had fun while killing them which contradict the culprit’s action",Stephanie said nodding her head

    "Gosh, that scum ! How dare he try to fool us !",Ray uttered

             "That means both Allen and Mr Simon are mere pawns",Frank said

  "That's right”

 “He must have found out we are unto him when we interviewed Mr Simon”

   “He probably set up a plan after that. Those two are nothing but pawn in his game",Scott added

            "But, I can't really understand,Allen”

  “Why do you think he's willing to take the blame for everything ?",Stephanie asked 

      "He's probably trying to repay him for his favor" Scott replied

“You mean, inorder to show gratitude for murdering his wife and Mr Peter, he's trying to take all the blame ?",Ray asked

         "That's right.”

 “But,that’s just my hypothesis”

      “We can't be sure of anything until we secure evidence",Scott replied

   "Woah ! That crazy jerk",uttered Stephanie 

                     "Ugh, this is unbelievable !",Frank added

FLASHBACK [ February 6th around 10pm ]

After Mrs. Allen was caught cheating on his husband with another man, Mr Allen was devastated. He went to a bar and was drinking recklessly. He had finished three bottle of liquor.

"One more bottle here,please !",He said as he raised his hand

"That wench ! How dare she cheat on me with another man ! How dare her !",people stared at him as he yelled

Meanwhile, a man in black hat has been paying attention to him. Allen caused a ruckus in the bar and was later dragged out by the security guards.

"I'll kill those two !",He shouted

"Should I kill them for you ?",the man in black hat approached him

"Who the hell are you ?!",Allen demanded

"Someone who will help you to punish them",he replied with a smile

\[ BACK TO PRESENT \]

"I got Mr Simon's ex-wife's address !"

"I'm not sure if we'll get much from her though",uttered Frank

"I'm sure we'll get something from her mother",Scott replied

"Frank, you should analyze Allen’s call log''

''Once you're done , you and Ray should find out Allen's movement through his phone GPS , right from 5th of January",Scott said

"Alright, sir",replied Frank

"You should look after your partner",said Scott as he faced Ray

"Don't worry, I'll take care of him'',Ray replied with a smile

"Let's go , we have no time to waste" Scott said as he was heading of out

''Do you see that ?''

''Even the Team leader knows i'm better than you",Ray stated with a big smile

"ugh...who's better than who ?" Frank scoffed as he was using his computer

"But, sir. Why aren't we interrogating Mr Simon yet ?" Stephanie asked as she was driving

"What do you think ?" Scott asked

"I just can't understand yet”

“I mean if we interrogate him, we might be able to get something out of him",Stephanie replied

"what you said is reasonable"

"But, do you think Mr Simon will open up easily ?",Scott asked

"But we should still try'',she replied

"It'll be of no use”

“In a murder case where two culprits work together, one is always dominant”

“You can also see how Mr Simon was trying to protect his son when we visited him”

“While pleading with him to find his missing son, he doesn't even mention his son's name. Not even once",Scott explained

"So, you mean Mr Simon's son is dominant in this case ?",Stephanie asked

"Yes. So, the more we keep him detained without interrogating him......",Scott tried to explain

"The more nervous he'll get",She cut in

"That's right",he replied

Soon enough, they arrived at Annie Jefferson place [Mr Simon's ex wife]. Stephanie hit the intercom button and a woman came out of the house. She was Jeff Annie
