(Cassandra the Witch)
My name is Cassandra Lumiere. I appear to be thirty-five years old, but my true age is over two hundred. I am an ancestral witch. I have lived in Alpha King Alexandre Wolf's pack for about seventy years. I served his father throughout his entire reign. Even though I didn't agree with the cruel things that happened here, I was always faithful to my King. When Alexandre's father passed away, I continued to serve and care for the new King.
We have faced many battles and broken several barriers to get where we are today.
Today, this is the most protected and strongest kingdom of all time. My King is a just and implacable King; he loves his people. I was traveling on a mission; we have many witches turning to the dark side of witchcraft, using forbidden magic. Often, it costs them their own lives. I fear that if this continues, the witch race will end.
I managed to gather some information and discovered that a warlock is traveling through the villages, teaching teenage witches to use this magic. Many times, they can't handle it because this dark magic sucks their essence and weakens them until they waste away and become just a shell. Then the worst happens because a new inhabitant takes possession of an empty shell, and the consequences are terrible.
My King summoned me to meet his mate and for me to discover what and who she is.
Arriving there, I went straight to the office. The King went to fetch his mate. At that moment, the door opened, revealing my King and his companion. When I turned, our eyes met; there, my world shifted for a while. It felt like hours, but it was only a second. Seeing all of this took me back to some years in the past.
What I see is a memory of mine: there I am, talking to an old friend from the Houser lineage, a lineage long forgotten.
However, much stronger than my own, they were like King and Queen two hundred years ago, but they vanished in time. No one has ever heard from them again. Black was a hybrid, half wolf, half vampire. The power she possessed was immense and sparked the interest of the Vampire King. He wanted her to enhance his powers as King. But Sophia Black found her mate, his name was Jonathan Houser. He was a warlock from the past, the strongest among warlocks. When he met Sophia, they soon married and marked each other. Jonathan became half-vampire with Sophia's marking, and he became even stronger. Still, the Vampire King was interested in stealing Sophia for himself. A war broke out between the wolf and vampire species for a whole year. Sophia could no longer bear this war and decided to disappear with her mate, Jonathan.
Jonathan, as a timeless warlock, could manipulate space and time. That's when he left his time and went a hundred years into the future with Sophia.
When they arrived in the future, Sophia saw that the war they had left behind had been muffled by time, and vampires and werewolves had become mortal enemies, but the reason for this rivalry was hidden for all these years.
They found a place to live far away from everyone. They hid among humans, and with Jonathan's power, he blocked all their powers, and so they lived without being a witch, a vampire, or a wolf so as not to be detected by the Vampire King. For many years, nothing was heard from them until about twenty-seven years ago, when Sophia became pregnant, and they had a beautiful baby girl. Still, they were worried because this child had powers that neither parent knew about.
And they called a witch to see the child's future. This witch told the parents that she would bring much pain and suffering, and she would destroy the world they knew.
The witch wanted to eliminate the problem, but the parents loved their daughter and didn't allow it.
That's when they called another witch, an ancient but strong one. At the time, I was about 180 years old. They found me and asked for my help; they wanted to see if there was another option, that we could save the child and everyone from destruction.
I observed her future, and there was indeed much destruction, death, war, much blood spilled, but there was a hidden path that the other witch did not see. There she was, in human form, without powers. She suffered greatly, but there is a surprising ending; my option was to find all the powers and lock them away from her and let her live as a fragile human.
We did this with the intention that when she found her true mate, her powers would slowly unlock for her, and when she was marked, they would manifest fully. Only the true mate will control her with love, and where she will not bring destruction wherever she touches, they complete each other.
But if she finds the Vampire King before being marked by the true mate and stays with the Vampire King, then yes, the world will end, and not a single being will be left to tell the tale.
I return with sweat dripping from my brow, the white eyes disappear. I look and see the woman that child has become and am happy that she has managed to find her true mate, the one who will save the world from destruction.
