I wake up to the sound of the door slamming shut, making me jump.
I see Ayla walking by, stomping her feet, and as I try to get up, my head throbs, making me close my eye tightly.
"What happened?" I murmur.
Dark: "Feels like someone hit me with a club..."
I feel something in my hand and then lift it only to see an empty wine bottle, and a flash of me drinking it all in one go pops into my head...
"Heavens..." I look at the clock and see it's nine at night...
Adrian: "How long have I been asleep? And why the hell was I drinking during the day?..."
Dark: "The last thing I remember is feeling very hot and an endless burning sensation... Just thinking about it I feel....damn...I think I better..."
A knot forms in my stomach, making me run up the stairs, stumbling on the steps...
As soon as I get to the bathroom, I kneel in front of the toilet and it feels like my organs are going to come out along with all the wine I drank...
Dark: "Ugh! I don't remember eating that..."
After almost throwing up my guts, I get up...
What happened?...
As I'm taking off my clothes to shower, I smell that vanilla scent.
Dark: "Thinking about her so much you can smell her from afar."
Adrian: "Dark, I'm in no mood for you... Do me a favor and go to pasture."
I step into the shower, letting the cold water run down my body, making me shiver a little.
I grab the shampoo and as I rub my hair, that vanilla scent gets stronger and stronger...
As if she were standing in front of me...
While I'm rinsing my hair, I notice that the smell is too strong...
I take the shampoo and open it...
As soon as I bring it close to my nose I smell the sickening smell of vanilla...
"That..."
Dark starts laughing.
Dark: "No one told you to complain about her smell..."
On her, the scent was different...sweet and soft at the same time...
Sometimes I felt like burying my head in her neck to smell her scent...
Dark: "Now it's gonna look like you're inside a dessert," he says, guffawing.
I get out of the shower and the smell persists.
I change clothes and decide to go to bed...
It felt like I had been beaten up...
As soon as I lay my head on the pillow, the smell is strong again...
I smell the pillow and notice that the smell is there...
I smell the sheets and it's there too...
I take a deep breath, trying to stay calm... I'm honestly not in the physical condition to go and get satisfaction...
I throw off the sheet, throw it in the corner of the room along with the pillows, grab others, and lie down...
Sleep comes quickly...
Until the alarm clock rings...
"Geez, it seems like I just blinked..." I murmur, rubbing my eyes.
I look out the window and see it's still dark...
I look at the alarm clock...
It was 3 am...
Dark growls softly.
Dark: "Messing with my sleep is already a dirty trick..." he mutters.
I turn off the alarm clock, adjust the time, and go back to sleep...
When it rings again I wake up and sit up in bed...
Awful...
Totally wrecked...
Dark: "Go back to bed..."
Adrian: "I have to go to the office..." I say sleepily.
Dark: "No, you don't... That bunch of old men will be able to handle themselves for a few hours... Come back now, before I transform and go back to sleep."
Adrian: "Okay, okay..."
I lie down again, snuggling into the covers...
Adrian: "You win..." I murmur.
Just two more hours...
Just...
I hear a crash, making me sit up in bed quickly with fright.
Adrian: "What was that?"
Dark: "Ayla might be in danger..."
Then again, a loud clang of metal.
I hurry out of the room and run down the stairs, only to come face to face with Ayla in the kitchen, banging pots and pans.
"What the hell is going on?" I growl, trying to control myself.
"Making coffee," she says dryly.
"I don't want coffee," I say through gritted teeth. "I want to sleep, I need to sleep. So please... Be quiet," I say, and she just stares at me with a blank expression.
As soon as I turn my back I hear another noise making me jump slightly.
I turn around only to see a pan on the floor.
"Oops," she says mockingly.
I take a deep breath and turn around, heading back to my room.
I lie down again feeling an unusual tiredness...
As I begin to fall asleep again I wake up to the sound of something being dragged.
I sit up in bed and wait for the noise.
And it happens again.
Going down the stairs, I find Ayla in the living room, moving furniture from one side to the other with obvious mockery in her eyes.
"What the hell is going on here?" My voice sounds harsh, revealing my frustration.
She turns to me, a mischievous smile playing on her lips.
"Just tidying up the living room. You know, giving the place a makeover." She says.
I watch her for a moment, realizing I'm not going to win this battle.
"Fine, do whatever you want." I will not get into her craziness.
Adrian: "Reconsidering your choice now that she's messed with your most precious possession?" I mutter as I go up to my room.
Dark: "You have no idea!" he says, his voice laced with anger.
In the room, I take a quick shower and get dressed for work, trying to ignore the effects of the interrupted sleep.
I leave the house and head towards the bakery, determined to get a strong coffee to keep me awake during the day.
As I'm leaving the bakery, I run into Zade.
"Wow, dude... you look like hell..." he says, walking beside me.
Dark growls softly at him as if to express his indignation.
I sigh and then tell him what happened.
Of course, he listens attentively to everything, and obviously, he starts laughing as soon as I finish telling the story.
"Can't say you don't deserve it," he says, laughing.
"Are you serious that my friends are going to side with this woman, when you guys don't even know her?" I ask, indignant.
"We don't need to know... We trust Dark's choice..." He laughs. "This is what happens, my dear, when you hurt a woman. They are vindictive, and so good that even the Supremes sit down to learn," he says with a slight laugh. "Just apologize and it's all over."
"Apologize? For what exactly?" I say, raising an eyebrow.
Zade shrugs, keeping his amused smile.
"Oh, you know, for being you."
"This is ridiculous! I'm not going to apologize to her... I didn't do anything wrong. If she wants to tear the house down, let her tear it down, I don't care."
"Oh, you do care! Stop being so proud!" Dark speaks to the three of us. "You know you're wrong! And you'd better apologize now, because I want to sleep in peace."
Zade shakes his head, laughing.
"Well, I hope the house survives your pride, my friend," he jokes, making me snort in response.
...*****************...
While getting dressed for work, I feel an unusual itch manifest itself on my skin...
At first, I simply ignore it and go about my routine, grabbing my things, and heading to the office.
As I walk down the street towards the office, the itch persists, becoming more and more noticeable and irritating. I run my hand over my neck and arms, trying to relieve the uncomfortable sensation while trying to maintain a serious expression.
Even with my mind occupied with thoughts of work and the day's responsibilities, I can't completely ignore the feeling of discomfort that accompanies me with every step. Every movement seems to increase the itch, as if it were slowly spreading across my skin.
As the meeting began and the board members began to speak, I struggled to concentrate, my mind torn between the matters at hand and the incessant itching.
Every time someone speaks, it's as if the itch becomes more intense, more unbearable. I squirmed in my chair, trying to hide my agony as the curious eyes of the other board members turned to me.
Dark: "This itch is unbearable. Why can't we just scratch ourselves and get it over with?"
His words only intensify the tingling sensation in my skin, and it's as if every part of my body is begging for relief.
While trying to maintain a serious and focused expression, inside I am writhing in agony. I am on the verge of going mad, wishing I could indulge in scratching myself madly until relief finally comes.
Dark: "It feels like I'm covered in fleas..."
I take a deep breath.
Dark: "I could transform and use my nails to relieve the itch... I would scratch... and scratch..."
Those words are like a death sentence to my sanity.
"Please excuse me," I say, abruptly standing up. "But there's been an emergency."
As I walk away from the meeting, I can barely hide my agony. The itching persisted, as if it had a life of its own, and I felt increasingly uncomfortable.
Upon reaching my office, I slam the door shut and start scratching myself frantically, as if that could relieve the irritating sensation running through my body.
Desperate for some kind of relief, I lock the door and start tearing my clothes off in a hurry, not caring about anything around me.
In my mind, there is only room for the urgent need for relief from that unbearable itch.
Without being asked, as soon as I take off the last piece of clothing Dark transforms and starts scratching himself frantically. He throws himself on the floor, rubbing himself from side to side, and scratching himself until he's tired.
Finally, the itching seems to subside...
Dark: "It stopped..." He says breathlessly.
Adrian: "Of course, it stopped... because the problem is the clothes! I'm going back to my form and get to the bottom of this!"
I put on the spare clothes I have in the office and go home.
As soon as I close the door I come face to face with Ayla who was leaving. She seems surprised by my sudden presence, but at the same time tries to hide the smile on her lips when she sees me in this state.
"Did you put something on my clothes?"
She walks towards me.
"Sometimes it's scabies," she says before walking past me and out the door, leaving me there...
Stunned and full of hate...
