IV- Repudiation Announcement

Xiaoling was sat criss crossed on the floor in her room, playing a game of chess "Looks like they made the first move," she said and move a black peice forward "My turn." Just then Ai barged in

"Miss! The master has ordered all of us to gather in the entrance hall!" Ai yelled as she entered

"What about?" Xiaoling asked though she already knew

"I have no clue, the sevants are such snobs to keep us informed." Ai answered

"Well, lets check it out." Xiaoling said and walked out with Ai and headed to the entrance hall. 'Its an opportunity to meet those who took advantage of the first princess'

Once Xiaoling and Ai got there, they saw Bai Yeng talking with some sevants infront of the entrance hall. "Then a dragon appeared, and I don't mean to brag, but She kind of had a thing for me." He bragged

'Had a thing for him? I'd rather have a thing horrish stinky fish than him. Hmph! He's lucky to be alive.'

"Wow she must be a beauty!" A servant said

"She has long sparkling white hair and big cold ocean blue eyes, but I couldn't see under the cloat." Bai explained "Sadly she left before anything else could be said."

"Look the useless fool is here!" One of the men yelled pointing to Xiaoling

"Well of course, it's her big day today." Another said

"She is a disgrace to the yeng family!" A servant said

"She gets what she deserves!" Another one shouted

Ai was about to speak when Xiaoling held a arm out telling her to keep quiet. Xiaoling ignored them and walked passed them into the entrace hall with Ai following her.

"You ignorant bitch-" a savant yelled but was cut off by Bai

"Lets, let her go for today. She is about to get what she deserves." He said smirking

Xiaoling looked up and saw Lord Que and her father sitting side by side.

'That fat old man is the one who summoned me here?'

Xiaoling looked to the right and saw Concubine Qin, Concubine Gue,third princess Wang Yeng, second princess Chinying Yeng, and forth princess Chen yeng. Then she turned to the left, 'Is thar his men?' She asked herself. On her left were guards and Lord Que son, Lanying Que.

'All the women here are beautiful, but the most outstanding person is third princess Wang Yeng.' Lanying thought to himself and stared at a blushing Wang Yeng. 'Hum!' "N-No its fine, I'll marry him!" Wang insists

"Alright, are we done here?" Xiaoling asked

"One more thing," Lord Que and motion for his sevants to bring him a box. He opened the box and it was a letter and a jade stone. The divine princess and the empor engagement token that was given to the first princess along with a heirloom. "Since the engagement is broken, we'll return the jade stone, will you return the dragon stone?" He asked handing her the heirloom

'Repudiation announcement? I don't give a damn about the engagement, but it doesn't mean I should be deserted, it should be you!'

"Poor girl, shes going to get reputated." One of the maids said whispering to another maid

"Yeah, she's only thirteen to be reputated, to bad her identity of princess won't help. Nobody will shelid her." The other whispered back

'IM FOURTEEN!'

"Repudiation announcment?" Xiaoling said holding the letter up

"Xiaoling, can you read? If not Lanying may read it." Lord Que sneered

"Its so bold of you to say my first name and guess my age." Xiaoling said

"I-I mean princess..." Lord Que said correcting himself 'What is the matter with her? Guess her age? She's just a useless fool!'

"Don't make the same mistake again. I am fourteen years, its already bad enough that you made up a silly excuse of marrying the third princess. What exactly qualifys you to repudiate me?" Xiaoling asked "Lord Que, do you forget I am the first ranked princess entitled by his majesty, on an equal footing with you. You're son is nothing but 6th ranked commandant, he should kneel to me according to the law, how dare he repudiate me!"

Everyone was In shock by her outburst and knowledge. "What happened to the first princess? Is she angry?She better not anger Lord Que."

"Xiaoling! What is the meaning of this?! You...You are a disgrace!" Juan yelled

"What nonsense you speak. Tell me I am wrong. Its you who is a disgrace, You once longed to marry my mother and now the engagement is broke off, In order to bring Lanying Que and Wang Yeng together, it has nothing to do with me." Xiaoling said

"Don't play with fire, unless you know how to use the flames!" Juan said in which he got a quick reply

"Why else would I'll be playing with it?" Xiaoling said with a smile and made him growl in anger

"Calm down honey!" Concubine Gue said putting a hand on his shoulder then whispered in his ear "I we'll teach her a lesson when everyone leaves."

'Yes, the only thing that matters is the marriage between Que and Yeng family!' Juan thought and made a 'hmph!' Sound

"Lord Que, please forgive her rudeness." Juan kneeled

"It doesn't matter, she's just a child. We should respect her." He said 'The empor and empress Feng shelid her, I guess I'll favor her as well, hehehe'

"First princess, don't you agree to the dissolve? Why won't you give up the dragon stone?" Lord Que asked

"Give it up? Absurd! You think very highly of your son, he means nothing to me, he is just a ordinay pawn in a game of chess." She said

An annoyed Lord Que then asked "Why do you refuse to give the dragon stone up?"

"Because I pawned it already." She laughed and had a very evil face on "The tradition says that the one who loses the token, is the one who breaks off the engagement. So it is me who repudiate Lanying!" She slammed the paper on the table and eveyone was dumbfounded

"Your something else Princess, never knew someone can be so overbearing as you." He said

"Well, I am entitled to that name." She said

"Juan Yeng, the matter is done. We shall take our leave." Lord Que said and got up

"Ah yes, please forgive my daughter rudeness." Juan said and bowed

As lord Que and Lanying was exiting, Lanying turned around "We'll see about this princess!" He said

'Yes, we shall see. Its your move now.'

Xiaoling exited the entrance hall with Ai following close behind "Miss that was amazing!" Ai beamed

"Was it? I just spoke the truth." Xiaoling said "Lets go."
