The World Isn't Fair

 People say that the world isn't fair, but when I was young I didn't agree, because I had the most fair life, but that all changed when my mom died.

 It was a dark and windy night, my mom and I went to buy groceries and things to prepare for my dad's surprise for his birthday tomorrow. We got everything we needed and were heading home when suddenly it started to rain, but we didn't bring an umbrella with us. We decided to go through an alley because, it was faster to our house and that's when the tragedy happened.

 A tall man wearing a black hoodie pointed a gun at my mom saying we should give him all our belongings. My mom told him we didn't have much on us right now, but he didn't listen. He pointed the gun again and shot my mom. In the blink of an eye my mom was gone, I stood there blank unsure of what to do, I screamed and cried calling out to my mom but to no avail. The worst thing was the rubber escaped and nobody cared.

I was taken home by the police. When I saw my dad I broke down In tears explaining to him what had happened, but he completely ignored me like I didn't exist. For the first time in my life my dad ignored me. He didn't even give my mom a proper burial. The next few days were like hell, my dad brought different women home and I couldn't do anything but cry. They treated me as their slave, when I tried to complain he slapped me, and then I realized, this was not the loving dad I used to know, that image of him had died forever.

Two weeks passed, my dad introduce me to a woman Jin Murine as my stepmother, and she had two girls about my age Zhu yin and Zhu gin. Their existence brought more chaos into my life. I was mistreated by my dad's mistress every day. I sometimes wished I had died with my mom. Not only that, but I cried all night, begging God to bring my mom back, sometimes cursing him for taking her away from me .

My name is Zhu yang, I am 18 years old now. Three years have passed since my mom died and in this three year I suffered a lot, but I found a way to channel my anger. When I was sixteen, Jin Murine asked me to dispose all my moms belongings. I was furious, and I spoke for the first time in a very long time "You don't have the right to do that, please tell her dad" but he just stood there staring at me coldly. Jin Murine smirked and said "Do you think your dad cares, throw them away this instance". Zhu yin and Zhu gin stood there laughing as their mother threw out my mom's things. I ran with teary eyes, to hastily pick up my mom's things. I didn't throw them away, instead I kept them under the floor boards in the basement. I saw a picture of my mom in one of those boxes practicing karate, and I thought to myself, if she knew karate why didn't she use it on the robber. I guess she was trying to protect .

I decided to try it. After school ,I would go to zulin dojo to practice and I was quite good at it. In six months I became a black belt .
