I tried the fifth dress and tossed it aside on the bed "No" I again searched in my wardrobe and pulled out another dress but a few seconds later I also tossed it away. "I don't have clothes" I groaned in frustration as tears welled up in my eyes.

Suddenly, my eyes landed on a black dress nestled in a corner. I took it out and inspected it carefully. The knee-length dress adorned with beads and pearls looked incredibly elegant.

"Yes, this will do," I mumbled, satisfied with my decision. I placed the dress on the bed and hopped into the shower, feeling relieved and excited.

Today, Dominic is taking me to an event, and I can barely contain my excitement. It's been on my mind for days, and now that the moment is here, I'm practically buzzing with anticipation.

After the shower, I took my time getting ready. In the midst of preparing, I glanced at the clock several times. When I finished, I checked the time again, but there were still fifteen minutes left before Dominic was due to arrive. Throughout the wait, I checked my makeup several times, smoothed my dress repeatedly, and examined my hair every five minutes.

I was beyond nervous; I was still in chaos when I heard the doorbell ring. Taking hurried steps toward the door, I took a deep breath and turned the knob, swinging it open. The sight that greeted me was truly breathtaking: Dominic, in a sleek black tuxedo, stood before me, looking as handsome as ever.

I found myself staring at him as he leaned in and planted a gentle kiss on my cheek.

"Sei bellissima stasera, Amore," he murmured softly in Italian, bringing me back to reality.

"Are you ready, honeybee?" he asked, his smile tender and warm.

"Yes, just five minutes. I just need to put on my earrings," I replied.

"Yeah, sure, but..." He searched something in his tuxedo and pulled out a small, velvety box.

"What's this, Dominic?" I asked, peering at the box curiously.

"A gift for my girl," he said, his smile warm and affectionate.

Before I could respond, he took my hand and led me inside the house, bringing us to a stop in front of the mirror.

He opened the box, and my eyes widened in surprise as I beheld the stunning earrings nestled within, their sparkle reflecting in the mirror's reflection.

"This is so beautiful, Dominic," I exclaimed, my voice filled with awe and gratitude.

"Indeed, they are. But not as stunning as you," he said, looking directly into my eyes. I couldn't help but feel my heart skip a beat at his words.

Suddenly, the room felt warmer as I sensed his hot breath on my neck.

"D... Dominic... we are getting late," I whispered, feeling a rush of emotions.

"Yes," he replied softly, his voice filled with a hint of reluctance.

He took a deep breath and rested his head on my shoulder. We stayed like that for a few minutes, and then I heard his gruff voice, "Let's go."

Half an hour later, as his car approached the venue, he quickly instructed the driver to stop.

"There are so many paparazzi. Don't enter through the front. Turn the car around and enter through the exit door," he ordered, without looking at me.

I know I shouldn't be upset, but I can't help it. I was so lost in my thoughts when suddenly he grabbed my hand. I glanced up to see that he was already standing outside the car, waiting for me to come out.

I blinked in surprise, caught off guard by his swift action. Gathering myself, I stepped out of the car, feeling a rush of warmth as his hand tightened around mine.

"Are you ready to go in?" he asked, his voice gentle.

"Mm… Mmm," I replied nervously, my tone mixed with anxiety.

"So, let's head in," he said, offering his arm for support.

As we stepped inside, I saw that the event was in full swing. People were chatting, eating, and drinking, creating a lively atmosphere filled with laughter and conversation.

As Dominic introduced me to a few people, a woman in a very tight and revealing dress suddenly approached him.

"Dominic, long time no see," she purred, her tone dripping with familiarity. "I miss you, baby. How are you doing these days?" she continued, her voice laced with a séductive undertone.

"I'm doing great, how about you Mia?" Dominic replied politely, maintaining his composure.

"I'm doing as you left me," she murmured séductively, her words sending a chill down my spine as I looked at her with widened eyes, feeling a mix of shock and discomfort.

"Dominic, baby, who is she?" she inquired, pointing a finger in my direction before trailing it across his chest with the same finger.

"She's my friend, Victoria," Dominic replied, his tone polite.

"May I borrow your partner for a moment?" Mia asked me with an excessive amount of fake innocence in her voice. Before I could even respond, she turned her face to Dominic, clearly séducing him with her eyes.

"Baby, wouldn't you like to dance with me?" she pouted, attempting to blink innocently, but failing miserably.

"Mia..." Dominic called her softly, but she didn't give him a chance to speak and dragged him onto the dance floor. And there I stood, feeling like a fool, searching the room but failing to spot a single familiar face in this sea of strangers.

Unable to find anyone familiar, my heart began to race in my rib cage as I felt the weight of numerous predatory eyes on me.

As a few minutes passed, I reassured myself that everything was fine; Dominic was here, and there was nothing to fear. But all my hopes were dashed when I saw Dominic leaving the crowd with Mia in his arms. It was clear that he had completely forgotten about me.

Without another thought, I ran after him, weaving through the sea of people. As he crossed the hallway, I hurriedly to followed him but by the time I reached the spot, he had vanished into thin air, leaving me feeling lost and abandoned in the midst of the bustling event.

Cold sweat formed on my forehead as I found myself alone in the massive corridor. Just as I was about to shout his name, someone suddenly grabbed me from behind and covered my mouth with their hand.

Tears escaped from my eyes as fear gripped my body, and I struggled to free myself. However, the man holding me was strong, and all my efforts were in vain. I kicked my legs in the air to resist being dragged, but to no avail.

This only seemed to anger him more. He turned my face towards him and delivered a hard slap, the sting echoing through the corridor as my vision blurred with tears and shock.

He dragged me into a dark corridor with numerous closed gates, and my fear intensified. Desperately searching for something to help me escape, my eyes caught sight of a vase on a nearby table.

With great effort, I managed to grab the vase, but the man holding me hostage read my intention. In a struggle to prevent me from using the vase, he tore my dress from my back, leaving me vulnerable and exposed.

Summoning all my courage, I finally threw the vase at his head. As the vase hit him, he struggled to maintain his balance, and I seized the opportunity to break free from his grasp, running as fast as I could.

I fled from there, invoking God's name, tears streaming down my eyes. I didn't know where the exit was, but I ran as if I were a madwoman, driven by sheer desperation to escape.

I didn't know how much time it took me to get out of the building, but when I finally stopped, I found myself on a deserted road surrounded by trees. The silence was deafening, and the darkness of the night seemed to engulf me.

Suddenly, I remembered that this dress had pockets, and I found my phone in one of them. Wiping my teary face with trembling hands, I retrieved my phone, but all my hopes died as I saw there was no network signal.

Panic surged within me, and tears refused to stop flowing. I felt utterly alone and helpless, stranded in the darkness with no means of reaching out for help.

Summoning all my courage, I began walking down the road, but fear compelled me to glance over my shoulder every five minutes, my heart pounding with every step.

I was walking when suddenly my heel broke, causing me to tumble to the ground. Sobbing, I struggled to my feet and clutched my broken shoes in my hand.

God knows how much time passed as I walked barefoot. I stopped to catch my breath, only to realize that blood was seeping from my feet. Tears welled up in my eyes as I inspected them.

As I was examining my feet, a car suddenly stopped in front of me. My heart beats rise and With fearful eyes, I raised my head to see a young man in an ER dress sitting in the driver's seat.

"Hello, Miss, do you need any help?" he asked with concern in his voice.
