I sometimes wonder what my life would be like if my father weren't the king of the Kim kingdom. Maybe he would be a good father. I've always been by his side, enduring his cold, strict demeanor and obeying every order thrown at me. I have to suppress any dreams I may have; my future is already planned out, and dreams are reserved for normal families. But my family is far from normal.......

I lost my mother when I was just ten years old. Peering through the car window, I saw children playing happily with their mothers and fathers—a beautiful scene of family bliss that I never experienced. After my mother's death, my father blamed me. Everyone else is ordered to address me as "Your Highness." I detest it.........

Following Baekyung inside, I admire the glass chandelier above me and the beautifully stained-glass windows. But I try not to get attached to such beautiful buildings—I won't be here long. I rarely stay in one place for more than a month. My father is constantly sending me to different locations.
