I sometimes wonder what my life would be like if my father weren't the king of the Kim kingdom. Maybe he would be a good father. I've always been by his side, enduring his cold, strict demeanor and obeying every order thrown at me. I have to suppress any dreams I may have; my future is already planned out, and dreams are reserved for normal families. But my family is far from normal.......
I lost my mother when I was just ten years old. Peering through the car window, I saw children playing happily with their mothers and fathers—a beautiful scene of family bliss that I never experienced. After my mother's death, my father blamed me. He said if I hadn't been born, they wouldn't have fought, wouldn't have separated, and my mother wouldn't have been in that accident after leaving my dad. Now, people respect me out of fear for my father. They see me as a spoiled kid from a wealthy family, the heir Kim family future queen, Kim Taehyung. I try to shake off that image, but it's a hard perception to escape.........

I step out of the black limo and immediately notice the thirty men surrounding the building in front of me. Weary, I make my way to the door, accompanied by Baekyung, my trustworthy bodyguard. Baekyung has looked out for me since I was a child; we're practically family. He's the only one my father allows to call me by my first name. Everyone else is ordered to address me as "Your Highness." I detest it.........
Following Baekyung inside, I admire the glass chandelier above me and the beautifully stained-glass windows. But I try not to get attached to such beautiful buildings—I won't be here long. I rarely stay in one place for more than a month. My father is constantly sending me to different locations.

Our eyes briefly meet, but Jungkook quickly averts his gaze. His demeanor remains cold, leaving his emotions inscrutable. Towering over me at six foot four, possibly even six five, he possesses sculpted muscles that accentuate his powerful frame. His long black hair brushes against his collar, and his piercing doe eyes are further accentuated by an eyebrow piercing and I couldn't help but be drawn to Jeon Jungkook. His deep, gravelly voice washed over me like a velvety caress I noticed a thin scar slashing through his left eyebrow, adding a hint of danger to his dark good looks. Stubble darkened his jawline, and hints of tattoos peeked out from beneath the sleeves of his shirt.
He was the opposite of the preppy, clean-shaven types I usually went for, but that didn't stop a swarm of butterflies from taking flight in my stomach. the hottest man I've ever seen in my life..... 🥵
Lost in my flustered thoughts, I completely forgot to respond until Baekyung let out a small cough

I reluctantly approach him, feeling slightly uncomfortable we don't habe really have a strong father-daughter bond so when we hug it feels forced. Walking upstairs to find my room for the night. I quickly notice that instead of baekyung uncle following me, it's now Jungkook. I guess my new protection arrangement starts now. Fantastic.......
Opening the wooden oak door, I enter a grey bedroom with a pristine ensuite. I sigh and slump onto the bouncy double bed, feeling slightly awkward as I notice Jungkook standing by the open door. I sit upright to address him.

Ignoring my comment, Jungkook remains unfazed, standing like a statue. I stand up and walk to the bathroom to have a shower, lightly scoffing to myself at his stoic presence.

Glancing at my phone, I notice it's already 9 PM. Since I'll need to be up early tomorrow, it's probably best to head to bed sooner rather than later.
I hang my towel on the back of the door. My hair is already partially dried, so I decide to leave it as is. After brushing my teeth, I pay no attention to the motionless bodyguard standing in my doorway as I jump onto the bed try to sleep....

I've guarded plenty of beautiful omegas, betas, and even alphas before. But when I saw Taehyung in person for the first time, I reacted in a way I never had with my previous bosses. baekyung goes to shake my hand, but I instantly hug him. We exchange smiles before I run to the car.
At some point, while I had fallen asleep, I wake up and itch my tired eyes. I notice that we are at a petrol station, and Jungkook isn't in the seat beside me. He has probably gone to pay and get food. Thank god because I'm starving; I didn't have any breakfast as I was too busy being rushed by a handsome dickhead. I notice Jungkook coming out of the shop, empty-handed. Fuck's sake.
