Chapter 18

☆ A Rose ☆

Nicole’s eyes fluttered open when she felt a rough sandpaper-life surface against her skin, only to see a certain Bombay cat moistening her cheek with his tongue. Nicole groaned, she felt pain all over her torso and felt extremely tired. She turned her head to see the sunlight seep into the room through the window. Nicole placed her hand on the cat, rubbing it gently for Inky to purr in satisfaction.

”Morning, Inky...” Nicole yawned, sitting up straight and gasped when she felt a sting.

“Crap. Who knew vampires bite hard. I sure didn’t.” She said, tracing the bitemark on her neck. Inky meowed and dropped a rose he got out of no where from his mouth. Nicole picked it up, the thorns were removed st the petals smelled and looked lovely.

It was obvious who it was from.

”Charming, Davis, real Charming.”

Nicole stood up from the bed shakingly, placing the rose on the dresser. She stretched a bit and noticed how awful she smelled, she reeked of her own blood. Nicole picked out a red dress from her dresser, and just before she should enter the bathroom she took a glimpse of herself on the mirror.

Her eyes were wide and she dropped her dress to the ground. The bite marks that decorated her skin were much more worse than the ones that covered Madilyn!

“Crap, I turned the vegetarian vampire into an animal!” Nicole shivered, her eyes on the three bite marks, one on her neck, one on her shoulder and one on her collarbone. They were in a dark purplish color with tints of blue, the two holes of his teeth were dark red, and any move Nicole makes that involve areas near the bite marks hurts.

Nicole sighed and picked up the dress from the floor, and entered the bathroom. The whole time Nicole was trying to clean herself, it ended up in touching the wound and making it sting. The whole shower was basically very painful.

She quickly put her dress on and began to wonder how is she going to leave the room to eat breakfast from the dining room if she has marks on her skin? It would be extremely embarrassing.

The door suddenly opened to reveal Davis with worry painted on his face. He closed the door behind him and smiled Innocently at Nicole.

“Did you like the rose?” Davis said, Nicole smiled.

“Yes, it was very nice, what’s the occasion?” Nicole asked, Davis rubbed the back of his neck, a glint in his eyes.

”Is it wrong to give a beautiful lady a rose to compliment her?” Davis said, Nicole blushed lightly.

“And You do realize your late for breakfast, right?” Davis said. Ever since Nicole got here, she dined with the other humans that worked in the castle. Since vampires don’t have to eat unless they REALLY need energy. Davis prefers to dine alone since even the mortals will question him.

Nicole stared at him blankly before it turned to a glare. He gasped in surprise when her hand grabbed his tie to lower him down to her height.

”First, stop acting innocent, since you are no longer even close to innocent. Second, I got fang marks all over me, there is no way I’m leaving this room thanks to you.” Nicole said, sticking out her tongue at him. Davis blinked in confused but before he could even speak, Nicole had a question.

“And what breakfast? I thought you’ll be feeding from me from now on!”

Davis painted a sheepish grin on his face.

”I didn’t want to wake you up to drink...?” Red blush dusted his cheeks in embarrassment. Nicole wanted to slap him now. She face palmed before shoving her wrist at his face.

”Bite me.” Sounding a little different than she planned. Davis obeyed without hesitation. His lips touched the skin of her wrist, before digging his fangs in with no warning. Nicole bit her lip, trying not to let sounds of pain or anything. Blood started to drip to the ground as he drank from her. Davis finally stopped, licking the last drop of blood before looking at Nicole.

“I can lend you some bandages to cover these up.” Davis suggested, but Nicole declined.

”It’ll look to strange...but have you told your parents about...this?” Nicole asked. Davis shook his head but flashed a smile.

”No, but I’m planning to tell them tonight, you with me.” Davis said, one hand stroking Nicole’s cheek while th other on her waist. Nicole’s eyes widen.

NO WAY. SHE IS NOT GOING TO MEET THE KING NO MATTER WHAT.

She wasn’t afraid of him. But she was definitely not ready to meet her victims father.

”No.”
