The celestial being
The grand entrance of the Jeon Estate loomed before Jungkook, bathed in the cold light of morning. The familiar weight of its history settled around him, but he remained unfazed, stepping inside as if his return were nothing but routine.
The air inside was still. As expected, his family was already gathered.
At the head of the long dining table, Jeon Jin sat in his usual place, composed and regal, his piercing gaze fixed forward. Beside him, Kim Namjoon remained unreadable, fingers lightly tapping against his glass, his mind always ten steps ahead of any conversation.
At the far end of the table, Min Yoongi leaned back lazily, a wine glass twirling between his fingers. He didn’t bother offering a greeting—just a slow, knowing smirk.
Jungkook took his seat.
The butler silently poured his drink, and the moment the glass touched the table, the Sire finally spoke.
Jeon Seokjin (SA)
"The ritual is done."
It wasn’t a question. It wasn’t concern. It was merely confirmation of duty fulfilled.
Jungkook lifted the glass to his lips, taking a slow sip.
Namjoon’s gaze flickered over him, scanning as if searching for something. Then, he exhaled.
Jeon Namjoon ( Alpha)
"You heal slower under wolfsbane."
Kim Yoongi (Omega)
"Yet you still return without a mark."
Yoongi’s voice was light, yet edged with something darker. He rested his chin on his palm.
Kim Yoongi (Omega)
"I suppose we shouldn’t be surprised."
Jungkook remained silent. They never asked how it felt. They never asked if it burned.
Because they already knew the answer. Nothing shook the Enigma.
The Sire’s fingers tapped against the table, a sign of thought.
Jeon Seokjin (SA)
"And the prophecy?"
A flicker of tension passed through the room. The only thing that had drawn true reaction.
Jungkook set his glass down, unaffected.
Jeon Jungkook
"It remains uncertain."
Namjoon’s eyes narrowed slightly.
Jeon Namjoon ( Alpha)
"Two Enigmas before you. Both died young. Both never found their mates."
Kim Yoongi (Omega)
"And now we hear there is no path laid for you. Not even in the scriptures."
Yoongi’s smirk widened, but his gaze sharpened.
Kim Yoongi (Omega)
"Doesn’t that make you wonder?"
Jungkook’s nonchalance did not waver.
Jeon Seokjin (SA)
"There is no room for weakness in this family."
His voice, firm and absolute, echoed through the hall.
Jeon Seokjin (SA)
"Your role remains the same. Enigma or not, Jeon or not, you do not fail."
It wasn’t encouragement. It was command.
Jungkook didn’t need to be told. He never failed.
The conversation ended as quickly as it began. No lingering questions. No further discussion. Not a single word about his pain.
He was expected to rise. And so he did.
Jungkook stared at his own reflection. The world saw him as untouchable—the celestial being, the destined one, the supreme wolf.
Blessed beyond measure. Revered beyond question.
If I am truly divine, why do I feel nothing?
The world called him powerful, but power did not fill the hollow space within his chest. They spoke of his greatness, yet not a single voice had ever reached him.
Perhaps this was the cost of being an Enigma.
"To be born above all, yet feel lower than dust."
The faintest breeze stirred the curtains, moonlight spilling across his reflection. He met his own gaze, unreadable, unwavering.
Slowly, he removed the upper layer of his clothing, exposing the deep slashes along his back. The wounds were already closing, but wolfsbane left its mark—purple traces that would linger until morning.
He barely acknowledged them.
Instead, he straightened his posture, rolling his shoulders back as if the pain never existed.
Tonight, he would walk into that ballroom, and the world would kneel before the Enigma.
Tonight, he would be worshipped.
And tonight, he would still feel empty.
