I was born to a woman who had stopped aging for some time.. she was what the stories called "creatures of the night"

We had a small cottage in the forest.. I was chained in there not allowed to step out into the light

My mother who would hunt animals at night would get animals for me to fill my stomach..

And when I'm feeling sick and drained she would bring me blood of human

This was how I lived with my mother peacefully until the man who claimed to be my father knocked on the door one day

"I'm creature of the night.. this child should not have been born.. u can't raise him as ur child.. he craves human blood!! creature like him is not supposed to be born..

The man begged and begged.. but my mother was not ready to go with him to the castle he called home..

I who resembled my mother in appearance was adored by my father who was called "chief" by the ppl of the village

As I was not legitimate heir for the nxt rule, I assisted my half brother..

I stayed by his side until he was titled as the nxt chief after the death of my father

I left the big place as I saw my younger brother age, and I stuck in time

I saw from far as he married and had many kids.. they grew and fought for power.. I watched as my brother grew old and collapsed onto the ground one night

I left the village after his funeral.. I roamed around the world.. I occasionally exchanged the meat of the animals I hunted for some drinks

the world changed.. the leaders of the village were called King.. and the king of huge land Emperor.. time came when goods were not exchanged for good.. silver and gold were used.. they called it money..

I went back to the village I was born upon missing the ppl who shared my blood
It was unsettling to learn that it has been long time since they were all killed after being invaded by the neighboring country... their rule had come to an end a century ago and new dynasty had taken over the place

The place I was raised in had been burnt to the grounds with few pillars and walls laying here and there
I walked around the place recollecting the memories when I saw a woman run towards me

I heard few horse from a distance and knew she was escaping the guards of the imperial palace

She was desperate and I was not without heart to walk away
I took the woman to the cottage in the forest where I lived as a child
