Purpose to live
My mind still scattered coz of the mansion incident, I marched into the temple...
The murmuring crowd helped me bring back to the reality
It was surely not the time for festival or any special occasion for people to gather in the temple before the sun would raise
I who had gone to the forest in search of herbs was empty-handed and so was the body of the priest without the soul
With no tears streaming down I slowly dragged my feet towards the crowded room of the resident..
My feet moved faster as I pushed many aside and made my way in...
There slept peacefully the priest..
The man who gave me shelter, food and purpose to live didn't breathe..
He was not my family.. not by blood.. but he was a caring father, a great teacher and a good friend..
but now the man was gone and I had lost the purpose to live
I didn't know how many times the sun rose and set... I had lost the count...
For day's that I don't remember, I slept nxt to the grave of the priest... I was shooed away many times but at the end of the day I found myself nxt to the new grave
The guard of the graveyard must have taken pity on me that he stopped dragging me out for some time now
With no food and water for days I didn't count, I had started to c things...
If not how can there be any explanation for this woman to stand before me

The woman who seem to be emotionally dead just kept starring at me for few minutes
from her handbag she carried, she pulled out a wooden bottle that one carry to store toxin
Pouring a small portion of it into the cap she said

it will take u another 3 days to die if u starve.. this little portion of the poison is enough to take ur life in few minutes
I blankly looked at the woman who was offering me death
I had decided to wait for my end by staying nxt to the man who considered me as his family..
but when the death was offered to me in a small cup I was hesitant

That tiny "ha" which slipped from her lips made me focus on her expression
She was smiling as if she found a toy that had piqued her interest

She held my cheeks.. Squeezing them she lifted my head up and poured the liquid into my mouth
My throat became hot as the liquid traveled down to my empty stomach
My body started to burn up as my eyes lost its focus.. Sweat started to drip down from my face and my mouth started to dry rapidly
With each second the pain started grow in my heart
My heart started to beat fast as I gasped for the air which barely reached my lungs
I started wheezing as my fingertips started to turn cold..
My body which was hot 30 seconds ago was now turning cold as ice
The blood seem to have stopped circulating... I who could hear my heart beat rapidly raising could only c darkness with my eyes open...
I took looong-looong breath which was useless...
I was in complete darkness...
Lub-dub lub-dub lub-dub lub...... dub.......
