Vasilios family had a tradition of making their heirs marry before they can inherit anything and Leonard had his great-grandfather's property in his name, but he could only have that when he gets married and has a kid....that was the condition that has been passed down through generations in Vasilios family in order to preserve the bloodline as soon as possible by making kids as early as they can

Some were even forced to have children as early as they can ejaculate especially the only children born in a generation like Alexander
