After a long day, she went on her way. She stopped by a convenience store to buy some food ingredients for dinner and also called her mother.

"Mom, how was your day? Did you enjoy your first day at work? I'm worried that you're pushing yourself too hard," she said worriedly.

"I'm pretty fine. I love my job and enjoyed it. Take care of yourself; don't worry about me," her mother replied.

"I know, Mom. Please rest assured; I'm taking good care of myself here."

Their call ended, and she continued her walk to the convenience store. It seems that luck was not on her side because she bumped into some old acquaintances, her father's legitimate family. This was really unexpected since this place doesn't have any fancy shops or anything of the sort.

While she was about to enter the store, a girl came in front of her, stopping her from entering.

"You look familiar; have I seen you somewhere?" the girl asked playfully with a grin.

"You've got the wrong person. Please let me through," she said politely.

"Look, isn't this Liliana?" Jessica came up to her.

"Oh, it's you. Is father also here?" she said.

"Father? Who do you mean?" Jessica replied obliviously.

"Right, I don't have a father anymore. If you don't mind, please let me through," Liliana politely said.

"Huh, you're being disrespectful here. Is this the attitude of someone's ba***rd child?" the girl next to them said; it seems she's Jessica's daughter.

"Excuse me, but I am really in a hurry, so please give way. And also, don't talk as if we were leeching off of you. In fact, it was you guys who shamelessly squandered my mother's money. So get out of the way while I'm asking nicely," Liliana retaliated.

"You b*tch, how dare you," the girl angrily said.

"We will be seeing each other a lot, so look forward to it," Jessica said with a nasty grin.

"Thanks," Liliana said sarcastically.

"Hmph."

The mother and daughter left. A few moments later, she got a call from her "good" father.

"Yes, what is it, Dad?" she answered politely.

"I heard you were being really disrespectful towards Jessica," David over the phone sounded angry.

"I just said some truths. And I wasn't rude; I was actually really polite. I kept my cool despite their cocky behavior," she answered calmly.

"This attitude of yours is why I don't like you very much. Fix that attitude of yours or else," he said in an angry tone.

"You already know me. Also, if I weren't in my best behavior, your so-called wife and wonderful daughter could not have gotten away without a scratch," she said nonchalantly.

"Liliana, you're talking about my wife; be more respectful."

"I was being polite. You know what, let's stop here. I am hungry, and I still have a lot of work to do. Call me again for something important." She ended the call and continued her shopping.

The next morning, they had P.E for the second and third periods and a volleyball match between class 1 and class 3. But a sudden committee meeting made her unable to participate in this activity. As the students went to the lockers and changed into their gym clothes, she headed to the committee club room designated for student council and discipline committee members.

On her way, she saw Danella with some pile of documents and came to her to help her out.

"Must be heavy; let me help you," she offered to lend a hand.

"Lili, thank you. Please take half of these documents," she accepted her offer.

"What are these, Danella?" she asked.

"Well, it's some reports about the harassment cases of students."

"What!? Harassment, it's strictly prohibited, and this activity is monitored, and we received none so far," Liliana was flustered.

"This just arrived; the victims are from the surrounding area, and perpetrators are from our school. It seems someone tried to manipulate evidences," Danella explained.

"Hahhhh... another trouble comes knocking our doors. They sure didn't learn their lesson. What should our moves be from now on?"

"This case is the agenda of our meeting."

They arrived in the club room. The room was filled with students with some red and blue armbands on their arms, signifying the organization they belong to. The red armband signifies the student council, while the blue armband signifies the discipline committee. Liliana is wearing two armbands because she belongs to both.

They did a roll call. After the checking of attendance, the meeting commenced.

"Since everyone is here, let's begin this meeting."

The meeting was about a recent incident of young girls being harassed by a band of guys near the campus, and suspects were students of Horizon Harbor High. They talked about the solutions and actions to take while handling this case. The discipline committee was left with this task after further discussions since the student council will be finishing the infomercial for the green project campaign.

Everything was resolved after a week of investigation, and the green project commenced after everything was finished.
