...Daniel laughed when he heard the compliment about his angelic face. His friend often admired his looks in their teenage years....

..."Some things never change..." He added: "Maybe your friend will come live with you..."

...While they looked at each other, the plates were already empty, and they were both enjoying a drink. Daniel chose his words carefully, wanting to understand if his friend resented him for what happened in the past....

..."Do you still hold a grudge against your friend for disappearing?" Daniel asked....

..."I had every reason to, it's true. But not as much as the grudge I hold against my own family..."

...The CEO had touched a nerve. Daniel knew that the Alves family was to blame for what happened between them in the past. Besides, he wasn't sure how his ex-boyfriend's relationship with his parents was currently. He didn't want to cause more trouble....

...But Daniel couldn't help himself. The alcohol was pushing him to provoke him....

..."So, Guilherme." He said, his voice thick with seduction. "Currently, how do you see your ex and best friend? Do you still intend to end the relationship now that he's in front of you? Maybe this is your chance to tell him some truths..."

...Guilherme remained firm in his seat, resisting the urge to take his ex-boyfriend upstairs. He realized how much he had matured since those immature days. If he were the Guilherme of the past, he probably would have said something impulsive and made Daniel walk out. However, now he understood many of the reasons that led to their separation, but he longed to hear from Daniel's own mouth the details and the hidden reasons. Most importantly, he had waited years to find the love of his life again, and the Alves would not take him away again....

..."I want to tell my boyfriend, who should never have stopped being my boyfriend, that I want to win back our friendship. If he doubts my intentions, I'll be more persistent this time. Besides, I'm now completely independent in every way, including financially. The Alves won't have the power to separate us again because this time I can go with him wherever he goes!"...
