Both the boys were packing bags as they had completed their high school and finally it was time to go home.

“Hey! Are you done with packing? There were only 15 mins left for our train. Jo said as Leo was still taking things from his desk.

“Yeah! Almost done.

Everyone gathered in the centre of volleyball court,

“We got it! Just one serve. Let’s end it quick!” Evan started cheering the team he was happy because they are going to win.

“24-23.” john served the ball.

The ball was passed to Evan, and he hit it towards the opposite team .

Jade, from the opposite team, took the defensive hit ,but touched the antennas of the net, making Evans team win .

“ I know we can do it.....woahh such a tough game, congratulations team, hooray.” Evan’s so happy about their win.

(Evan is a long-legged guy with peach skin, lightly covered with freckles on his nose that were not visible unless we observed them closely. He has almond eyes with little plump lips. Evan's parents were from Germany but have settled here since he was young. He’s a volleyball player, who recently got selected for nationals, but unfortunately, he couldn’t win.).

As the game concluded and players began to exit, John observed Evan glancing at someone at a distance.

“Evan, Blink! If you keep looking at him like that you’ll kill him.” John uttered!

“Ah, What’s else can I do he’s interesting. ” Evan blurted out.

 He came to his senses and regretted the words he said when he saw John.

“Argh... john ... this... it's not what you think. You got it wrong, its like interesting as science fiction. That's all." Evan knew that his argument made no sense and was not convincing at all.

"Ah! I see! Sci-fi… well isn't that your favorite genre?" John smirked.

(phone rings)

“Yeah, mom! I’m leaving ” Evan said good bye and ran off. He thanked his mother’s timing .

As Evan said goodbye, John and the rest of their friends returned home.

“It was an interesting game. Evan is such a great player that I still don't understand why he lost the national championship.” John said as he laid down a bit tired from the earlier match.

"Have you seen his match? The reason why Evan lost was because of a last minute substitution. The new replacement did not coordinate well and made passing errors, causing Evan's team to lose their points, they had earned earlier. Hopefully they will replace it with a new one this year. Leo said as he looked angrier.

“Calm down chipmunk, it ended last year, why are you upset?” John said as he got a bit worried about his friend's mood.

“It's a win match jo, they lost by the stupid mistake, they could have taken Max instead of that new

One." Leo stated.

“Hmm...Will an Iced Americano or a grape tart helps you to cool now?” John said seeing his friend still upset.

“Maybe both.” Leo said as his lips curled slightly.

“Both! Whose going to pay?” asked john.

“You of course, my rich man.” Leo grinned.

( John likes when Leo talks about the volleyball game. Although he is a tennis player, he had never seen Leo talk about any tennis matches other than his own or his team's matches.)
