Carlo clears his throat.

Secretary

The board finalised the contract earlier this week.

He pulls up the document on his tablet and hands it to Aiden.

Secretary

He's already hired.

Aiden doesn't even bother looking. He massages the bridge of his nose.

Aiden

So this interview is meaningless...

Haruki

Not at all!

Haruki springs up.

Haruki

It's detrimental for our doctor-patient relationship.

With a little too much enthusiasm, he grabs Aiden's hand and shakes it.

Aiden groans.

Aiden

I need to discuss something with you, Carlo.

He yanks his hand from the shake.

Aiden

Hallway...now.

Carlo gulps.

Haruki

Then, I'll just wait here...

Haruki

I guess.

Haruki flops back onto the couch, poutfully.

Aiden guides Carlo just past the office door—halfway into the hall, but still within earshot of the room behind them.

Aiden

This is a direct violation of my authority.

He whisper-shouts.

Aiden

Who approved it?

Aiden freezes.

Aiden

Was this Dan’s doing?

Carlo opens his mouth. But then–

Haruki slips through the crack in the entryway, poking his head out.

Haruki

Sorry to interupt...

Haruki

But where's my office?

Haruki

I just want to set everything up.

Aiden pulls his lip up as if the very presence of Haruki disturbed him.

Aiden

There's a closet in my office.

Haruki scrunches his nose, protruding his upper lip.

Secretary

I'll inform HR and have them prepare your space, Doctor.

Aiden presses his palms into his face and lets out a deep groan.

Aiden

This is just great.

Haruki

I'll see you tomorrow then, Aiden-san~

Haruki winks then slips back in to collect his briefcase.

Aiden turns to Carlo, blinking slowly.

Secretary

You're scheduled appointment is tom-

Aiden

You have got to be kidding me.
