My life here is Throne Dukedom was way better than in Rosedale Dukedom.
The maids here don't pick on me and people here treats me with kindness. I get 3 hot meals a day and get to wear better clothes.
But still, now that I am a Duchess and the Duke was gone it was my responsibility to take care of the Dukedom.
Because I didn't had a proper education I don't know anything and had to relay on Mr. Kenneth the person in charge for the Duke's absence.
It was a long way but I still was able to learn the basics.
After my peaceful 3 years had passed and when the Duke finally arrived back, he demanded for an heir.
Thinking it was the main reason for me to marry him, I soon got pregnant and gave birth to a son at 22.
After my son was born, The duke's curse took in and he went into a coma.
As the duke was in coma and my son was really young, I now had to take responsibility for the whole Dukedom.
The Royal family stopped sending money to us, as mostly money for Thorne Dukedom came from war and the Dukedom fell in great depression.
The Throne Dukedom was situated in North where there was heavy snow and crops couldn't grow. It also had many dark forests where the most monsters resides.
as time went on everything started falling down, people were dying without food and water, the cold and frequent monster invasion was also a great problem.
And on top of that, I became desperate... I couldn't bare people dying and blamed everything on my self.
I became depressed and neglected my own son, I couldn't become a good duchess and a good mother...
The Duke also silently passed away in his coma and died.
Soon after, my son's curse effect also started to show and he wasn't able to control it and accidentally killed Mr. Kenneth.
Now, with even the adviser gone I couldn't control anything and took a lot of debt to keep the people of the Dukedom alive, but nothing worked.
And with that I also had to pay off my debt, so I worked really hard and tried everything.
In between that the Royal family saw their chance and took my son away from me and they kept sending him to various wars even though he was only 14 at that time.
Not long after that I received a letter informing me about my son's death and that he died by suicide.
The last string of fate in me then broke... I couldn't believe it and everything around me, I lost it.
