Lana Rosewood's POV

I stared at the white ceiling in my room and thought about everything, everything that happened in the past. I'm probably the most miserable seventeen year old on this Earth. I took out my phone and looked at the time.

I sighed and got out of bed to go and get ready for school. I entered the bathroom and did my morning routine, i  cleaned up my room and headed downstairs.

I live with my older brother Logan, his wife Mei and my twin brother Liam. I used to live with my mother but after I tried to commit suicide, and my mom had a heart attack when she found me on the bedroom floor bleeding. My older brother thought it was best if me and Liam stay with him and his wife.

"Good morning Lana" Mei said with a smile on her beautiful face. I smiled back and nodded. She was making breakfast and humming her favorite song. I sat down on the table as she handed me my bowl of soup and a spoon.

Soup is the only thing we were served in the cell. And because it was the only thing that I ate for years, it is the only thing I am able to eat.

"Hey little Snow" Logan said with a huge grin on his face as he entered the room. I groaned hearing that nickname. I gave him a playful glare and the chuckled. "is Liam still asleep?" he asked looking at Mei.

"I'm up" I flinched hearing Liam yell from upstairs. Logan noticed this and gave me a sad smile. Liam came running from upstairs with two school bags.

I was still not used to being free, free from him. So I am always on alert. Sometimes it was all too good to be true.

"Hey snow" Liam said ruffling my hair. I hit his hand and glared at him, he pouted wiping away fake tears "I hate that nickname" I snapped at him.

"I love that name, it suits you" he said grabbing an apple as Mei sat down next to Logan. Logan looked at me and then at my food and shook his head. I know he wants me to eat more but I can't, no matter how much I try. I just shrugged and continued playing with my food.

"Snow, take your pills and get ready for school" I nodded and went upstairs. I took all my pills and went outside, Liam was already waiting for me in the car, so I just got in and he started driving.

He packed the car on his spot and we got out. We got inside and headed to the lockers, his friends were already waiting for him there. "call me if anything happens, snow." he said handing me my school bag. "have a great day, love you sis." he said kissing my forehead.

"You too" I smiled and went to my locker and took out my books for the first few classes. I was about to close my locker when someone poked me. I flinched and turned around faster than lightning.

I was met by beautiful brown eyes, and a huge smile. I gave her a confused look, she smiled and was about to speak when a massage on her phone interrupted her. She ignored it. "Hi,could you please show me to Mr Benson's class? I'm new here"

I nodded and told her to follow me. Since I was also attending the class, she sat next to me and we went separate ways when class ended.

It was lunch and I was sitting on my usual table in the cafeteria waiting for Liam and reading a book.

"Hey" I looked up from my book, it was the girl from earlier. "Can I sit here?" she asked with a beautiful smile on her face.

"yes" I answered looking back at my book. I could feel her staring at me so is looked up from my book again and indeed she was staring at me. "is there something wrong?"

"You don't talk too much do you? I mean I have been trying to talk to you the whole day and you just nod and look away." she said pouting a little. "I'm sorry" I said not looking at her.

"okay let me introduce myself. My name is Alexanderia Knight, Alex for short. I live with my brother and my mother. I like dancing and watching movies. I am half Italian and no I  cannot speak Italian, I mean my brother did try to teach me but I wasn't paying attention. I have a boyfriend, Nicholas . I hate sushi, I mean who-"she was rambling.

" Lana" I cut off her rambling . She looked at me confused. "My name is Lana Rosewood" I said smiling a little.

She was about to say something when a boy came running to our table, panting. Liam. He was about to grab my bottle of water when Alex grabbed his hand. "Who do you think you are? Put the bott-" she yelled at him.

"Alex, stop! That's my brother" I stopped her. She stopped and muttered an apology.

"Ohh  snow, you made a friend? " Liam said ruffling my hair.

"yeah I guess I did" I smiled genuinely at Alex who was trying to avoid eye contact with Liam because of embarrassment.

Alex seems like a nice girl, but I have to be careful. I can't trust anyone other than my family and I can't put anyone in danger . He might still be looking for me.
