POV Bruce
Greetings all, I am the headmaster of the Royal Academy. My name is Bruce Wellington. I used to be a duke in Wellington territory. Having retired, I was appointed by the former King to serve as the head of the academy. You know, it was I who proposed this grand selection.
Throughout my tenure, I've noted that this nation has not developed substantially, owing to the limited pool of talent we have at our disposal. My proposal faced much opposition as it was feared to disrupt the power influence of the nobility. However, what they fail to comprehend is that other kingdoms have adopted similar measures in preparation for war. We may be in a period of respite now, but who can say what the next 5 to 10 years will bring? Moreover, we have only recently concluded the war with the Kingdom of Nidel.
Therefore, I am pleased with the decision made by our new sovereign who has endorsed my suggestion, as I believe his predecessor failed to recognize the dangers posed by foreign states. This country is home to 2 dukes, 4 marquises, 8 viscounts, and 24 barons. Imagine if there are 150 talents offered by each marquise, resulting in 600 outstanding seeds across the realm. This will significantly elevate the nation's capabilities.
Oh, by the way, this excludes the candidates already accepted from the ranks of high-status nobles and affluent merchants. I eagerly anticipate the nature of the examination. Well, it appears it's time for me to ascend the podium.
This time, the exam venue is the state's Coliseum and the academy's coliseum, with the opening ceremony taking place at the former.
I mount the stage, surveying the lineup of prospective new pupils before me. They are the ones who will shape the backbone of our Kingdom. Without delay, I commence the welcome speech.
"WELCOME PROSPECTIVE STUDENTS OF THE ROYAL ACADEMY. I AM YOUR HEADMASTER, BRUCE WELLINGTON. YOU NOW REPRESENT THE FINEST TALENT THIS NATION HAS GATHERED. I EXPECT YOU ALL TO EXCEL DURING THE EXAMINATION. IT IS MY HOPE THAT YOU WILL CONTRIBUTE SIGNIFICANTLY TO OUR COUNTRY'S FUTURE. I HEREBY DECLARE THE ROYAL ACADEMY EXAMINATION OPEN!"
With that declaration, the execution of the examination will commence swiftly. The first test is a practical one.
For the age group 9 to 19 years, they will be assessed on their magical abilities and physical prowess, whereas for ages 5 to 8, they will simply be checked for magical potential and subjected to some physical activities.
I hold the view that admitting the 5 to 8-year-old age group is an excellent innovation, as I think they should be nurtured from a young age to ensure they are exceptionally prepared for adulthood. Previously, the academy only took in children no younger than 10 years old.
Next, they will undergo a written or theoretical test. I aim to gauge each child's intellectual level. I suspect their results won't be spectacular since they hail from the ranks of ordinary citizens, but I'm certain there will be some outstanding individuals amongst them—that's my expectation.
Previously, I also accepted 100 individuals per age group of nobles and wealthy merchants. Furthermore, I have made preparations for the recruitment of new instructors, enabling veteran teachers to be dispatched as heads of schools in each marquisate. This will ensure that Mazica will never be short of resources. Quite brilliant of me, don't you think?
"Ah, I suppose I can leave the task of new student recruitment to the teaching staff here. Time to proceed with my duties."
I pass the remainder of the exams to the committee in this place and depart for the large mansion near the Coliseum, where the teacher examination will take place. I have high hopes for the instructor candidates.

POV Martin
"Would all aspiring teachers please gather!"
Upon hearing this summons, I promptly make my way to the caller.
It seems the examination is about to begin. I enter the mansion alongside other participants. There are 100 people taking the same exam as me. A brief glance suggests there are no commoners among them, judging by their attire, yet I can confidently conclude they hail from diverse races. This nation appears not to discriminate by race. I've recently learned that each marquise's territory has a different racial makeup. By coincidence, the Marquisate of Bozes is human, while others are elves, beastmen, and dwarves.
"Hey, Hendrick, do you have any notion of what we're being tested on here?"
"I'm not quite sure, but from what I've heard, it's a written and practical test similar to the prospective students."
Hendrick Bozes is the conversation partner, the third son of the Marquis Bozes. As the third child, he had to find his means of living. His oldest brother is next in line for the marquisate, and his second eldest is a captain in one of the kingdom's three most prestigious orders, the Order of the Pegasus. He has chosen to enroll as a teacher because it assures a viscount-equivalent status. Naturally, many have rushed to apply for a teaching position.
"Listen, everyone, we are recruiting teachers competent in all fields. The exam itself is very straight forward. I'm sure you've all practiced. Hence, you just need to touch this status orb, and we shall determine your readiness from there."
"Eh, is that all?"
A participant's murmur can be heard. I, too, am taken aback by the announcement.
"Indeed, your efforts can be discerned solely through this orb."
And so, the teacher examination begins. Prior to this, here is my current status.

I've retained skills from literacy to alchemy as I frequently utilize them when teaching children. Alchemy came to me while aiding Airel for the first time, perhaps due to the novel medicine I created in this world for Airel's benefit. It is seen as a new discovery. Thereafter, my skills have been retained because I've taught Riese about chemical elements. Swordsmanship appeared as I instructed Rain after she mastered the basics of unarmed combat.
Never underestimate a salesman. I've learned extensively to approach clients and achieve high mobility.

POV Bruce
"Excuse me, headmaster, these are the results for the teacher selection test."
"Very well, let me see."
I begin to review the test outcomes that have been conducted. Most are of average merit, yet I find a few who stand out.
Hmm, as expected, each marquisate does indeed specialize.
"Noah Torstein, from Marquis Torstein, Weaponry Expert, a Dwarf."
"Alicia Aegnor, from Marquis Aegnor, Literacy Virtuoso, an Elf."
"Hendrick Bozes, from Marquis Bozes, Calculation Prodigy, a Human."
"There's also Zalack Warhammer, a Dragon Beastman, a martial arts authority."
It's understandable that they have passed the selection. They almost assuredly succeed due to the foundation laid by their lineage as Marquis descendants.
"Eh~ what's this person's child doing here..."
I am surprised to recognize a candidate's file–she is the daughter of my friend, Duke William.
"Eleanor William, High Elf, masterful in calculation, literacy, martial arts, and magic..."
I acknowledge her genius, yet I wonder why she would bother becoming an educator when assuming a prestigious role within the Kingdom was within reach?
Well, I can raise the matter with Barrack later.
"Next… hmm?"
"Who is this? Martin? Lacks a surname? Could he be a commoner?"
My curiosity piqued, Martin is the only ordinary individual declared eligible by the examination committee. As I scrutinize his file, I am astounded.
"Eeehhh~ is this the ability of a common man?"
At first glance, his capabilities take me by surprise, truly extraordinary.
