Her face turned red due to sudden confession, she didn't know how to react so she kept quiet for a moment when he repeated again "I said I like you".

"Wait, I thought I heard it wrong, no no... so you really said that... wait that... um....", she replied.

He said, "calm down, you don't need to think so much, I'm not asking to date me or something, it's just that I like you, I like being with you so I confessed to you."

She often looked at him in full concentration and now too it was happening and she was zoned out because all she could hear was him saying "I like you".

"Your order sir, ma'am"

She moved her glance towards the food and it was looking ravishing because in her entire life she never saw such a huge combo meal that too in the evening hour. The combo had two premium veg burgers, one plate hakka noodles, panneer tikka masala and two beverages.

"Eat first, if you are worrying about gaining calories then you don't need to. The one who works here is one of my colleague's friend so he knows that whenever I order it should have the least of calories and most of the proteins.... Enjoy !"

" Mmm...." She replied shyly because she was nervous and decided to focus on the meal rather than having an awkward conversation.

It took her less than 15 mins to finish half of the meal while he didn't even touch any of it because he was busy looking at her.

She is neither a clumsy eater nor an elite one, just a normal human being who was hungry as hell. I'm thinking of having at least a sip of the beverage but the way she's eating I'm afraid she'll cho-

"Aghem.. Aghem.... "*coughing* He patted her back saying "Easy easy... no one is stealing food from you and- *wiped near her lips* there was ketchup" *licking it off from finger tips*

She looked at food and continued eating with a blushing face.

She burped after eating this much, and he chuckled while looking at her. "Ahem... Shall we leave ?" He asked, "Yeah"

she replied more shyly than before.

After coming outside the food court they went towards the grocery shop and in the entire way she looked down and didn't let a single word out of her mouth, her mind was full of questions which she was afraid to ask him and but wanted to ask still she decided not to. He opened the door for her and both of them got their items while his phone rang

"Hello, maa." he said in a questioning voice, "What's taking you so long to buy just brocolli ?" his mother asked in an angry tone." He said, "Oh I bought everything that you wanted, I'll be home in 10 mins, don't worry about dinner I've already had it" saying this he took a glance at her. "Didn't you just go to get brocolli -" His mother was about to ask when he said, "Alright! I'll be hanging up then ! *toot toot* and hung up his phone to continue walking again beside her.

"Did he just say he had dinner ??? What about the dishes I prepared.... THE HECK ! LET THIS BOY COME HOME !" His mother spoke to herself in a complaining voice. His father said, "Why ? Did he do something wrong ? Eating your handmade food will cause trouble for him since he is on a diet" taking his son's side. "WHAT DID YOU SAY ?" she asked him to repeat as if she didn't heard right.

"Shall we have dinner, honey ?" he changed the topic.

On the other side,

While they came out of the store he asked where she lived to which she replied that it's not that far from here so he decided to accompany her on the road because she came here all by walking.

As they were walking, he suddenly took the grocery bag from her hands, "hey they are mine, let me hold them" she complained. "Nope" he replied.

"Heeyyyyy-"

He got closer to her and said "If you really wanna hold something, *making eye contact* hold my likeness towards you."

"Gi...give me... back..." She asked him, avoiding the eye contact, "nope, you will hold them when you're alone, with me beside you, you can rely on me."

Such a sweet talker he is she thought and he smiled satisfyingly after making her quiet.

"Why..." she asked in a low voice, "What why ?" he asked confusingly, "Why do you like me ?" she asked again, and this time properly.

"Mm.... probably because your personality is something that attracts me beside how you look because you're pretty and also the appearance of you makes me feel calm and relaxed as if we both are meant to be." he replied confidently.

*dazed* "Me..meant... to be ????" she took a moment and

"wahahahahahaha," she laughed at his innocence.

"What °~°" He said confusingly, "Woah you're such a filmy person, those types of things only happen in rare cases, and anyways you don't even know me well and also-"

"Does liking you have anything to do with knowing you ?" He cut her words in the middle

She said, "Eh ? Ye..ah obviously... How can you start liking someone without even knowing what they really are-"

"Then I want to know you. I want to know you in every single possible detail, I want you to let me know you" he replied looking straight in her eyes.

The rays of the street light were falling on them making her hazel eyes and his brown eyes look shining, "I.... no" she avoided his eye contact. "No ?" he asked looking at her avoided face. "I don't want you to know me..." she replied looking down, "ahaaa. Then.... let me like you without knowing you." he said satisfiedly. She got confused and asked in her lowest voice, "Why...why... me"

"I don't know, it's just that I like you, I want us to give a try of being with each other and see if we're really meant for each other or not if not then I'll leave" he paused for a moment, "but, if yes I want you to be with me till my last breath leaves my body." he added.

As he was walking in front of her he didn't notice that she had stopped already "We have arrived" she said looking down. "aa... so this alright so.... this is your ho- "Bye "

She didn't let him finish the sentence and quickly took off the bag from his hand and ran away upstairs. He smiled at her childish behaviour, "I'll wait for your answer" said in a louder voice. She signed "no" by crisscrossing her hands, he saw and laughed silently then took his step back towards his home.

She fell on her bed saying "what the heck did just happen" to herself and rolling over the bed having a red blushing face, "Did he just say he likes me ! Oh hell yeah he did !!!! Was it happened because of that scene that happened in college ? Na na ! Woooaaahhhh the university's famous student said he likes me ! He is not that bad, he is a good guy so maybe I should give him a chance...." as soon as she thought about this, "But..... what if the end doesn't change this time too. What if....... AISH SHUT UP !" She changed her mood and sat up straight, "just focus on your studies, guys like him will come and go but your grades will never leave you. Let's get started!!!" saying this she went to the washroom and changed her outfit to pyjamas and opened her books.
