Chapter 15: He was neglected by her.

As soon as Kiara reached home, she went to the bathroom, stripped ***** and stood under the cold shower. She started hitting the left side of her chest harshly.

"Stop beating so fast. No man is good. No one. You are destined to be alone. You are a bad luck. You are meant for revenge. You are a monster", she said coldly to herself as she turned the water colder.

The next few days, she completely avoided any risk of even seeing Adrian. She knew that even though she was denying, deep down that man had something inside him that made her open up to him without resisting.

It was as if he was stealing her soul. As if he could see through her soul.

Although, Kiara never wanted to get involved in any love relationship but deep down she carved for someone who would care for her and love her deeply without any greed.

This was something, she could never deny. Although, she seemed cold and emotionless but she wanted someone who will bring out all her dead emotions to life.

She never got love or care in her entire two lives that made her like this. Who would want to live like this, right? It was natural for her to crave for those things.

She too wanted a friend to hang out with, she too wanted someone to care for her, to love her unconditionally. But still... she keeps denying all the facts. She had completely destroyed all the hopes she once had.

Now, she doesn't wants any friend or anyone to love her. But is this really something that she wants?

Disregarding all the things and sayings about revenge destroys lives, she was walking through that path all alone without any support. If she was to die, no one would care, right? After all, she had no one.

Like every morning, Kiara took shower and got ready for office. She put on a navy blue knee length bodycon dress with a black belt around her waist and black high heels. Her hairs were let down and face void of makeup.

Kiara had a lunch meeting in the afternoon, so she left for the restaurant along with her assistant, Jade. She waited for thirty minutes but no one appeared. After a while, Jade recieved a phone call.

"President, Mr. Hernando couldn't make it today", Jade informed. Kiara's face turned cold. She hated people who were not punctual and didn't care about others time as well.

"Tell them to never contact Paradise Groups", Kiara ordered and stood up.

Just when Kiara was about to walk out of the restaurant she saw Chris. Her usual cold face turned colder and the air around her turned way too dark which made one suffocate around her.

He smirked looking at her while she gave him her coldest glare.

I will soon grasp your weakness and make you mine. Chris thought as he saw her walking out.

Kiara got into her car but suddenly her mobile rang. She saw the caller id and rolled her eyes. She let the mobile ring but all of a sudden, someone knocked on the window of her car. Her driver looked at her but didn't dare speak anything.

She pulled the glass down and saw the Adrian who was holding his mobile. "Do you like stalking me?", she asked in an annoyed tone. "I like everything which is related to you", he said innocently.

"I want to take you somewhere", he said opening the car door and pulled her out catching her off guard. "You can't order me around", she glared at him.

"I never ordered you. Don't accuse of something I never did", he said innocently as if he was wronged. She pulled her hand away from his grasp and crossed her arms around her chest.

"I deny to go with you", she said sternly. "Please", he said with arched brows.

Without waiting for the reply, Adrian dragged her inside the restaurant took her to the VIP area. "I simply want you to eat with me", he said with a gentle expression. He was never a gentle person to begun with but when he was with her, he would automatically act gentle.

"I'm not hungry. I don't wanna eat with you", she lied. Her mood was ruined because she saw Chris. "Fine, you can watch me eat then. I won't force you", he shrugged and sat on the chair leaving her standing.

"When you are going to eat then why should I stay?", she questioned. "I don't like to eat alone", he lied. In fact, he was amongst those people who talked the least and didn't like much people around just like Kiara.

For the first time in her life, she felt pity which was for Adrian. She thought he was pitiful as she herself had no one. But what's happening with her? Isn't she emotionless monster? Didn't she decide to never see him?

Still she ended up sitting opposite to him while he ordered almost everything in the menu. He indirectly treated the lunch as their first date. He didn't even ask her to eat and started eating by himself.

Kiara didn't seem to mind and was busy with her mobile. He felt neglected and was jealous that the mobile was getting more attention from her than himself. He wanted to smash the mobile.

"I don't think I'll be able to finish them all. Can you help me? Or the food will go to waste", he said gaining her attention. She thought for a while and then nodded. She picked a spoon and started eating while he smiled in victory.

Why doesn't she talk with me? Does she not like it when I act dominant? But what should I do? I can't help it, it's my personality. He thought looking at her Kiara who was silently eating like an elegant woman.

This was the first time that Adrian felt so self conscious because always women used to cling onto him but he never spared a glance at them yet here this woman didn't even spare a glance at him.

After his mother left when he was small, he never got close to any woman other than Kiara. He suddenly had the urge to get close to this woman. He wanted to protect her and keep her close to himself.

He knew that just like him, she had a story to tell but was restraining herself. While he wanted to tell her everything, she was trying her best to keep her distance from him as if afraid of something.

He could tell that she had toughened herself but deep down she still wanted to bring out her true self. Every person needed that one person in their life to rely on and he wanted to become that one person for her.

Without realizing, he had stopped eating and was staring at her. She felt his gaze and looked up to meet his eyes. There were mixed emotions in both of their eyes which was too complex to understand for one.

Kiara looked away first and cleared her throat. "I'm done. If you're also done then I shall leave", she said coldly composing herself. He simply nodded and asked the waiter to get the bill.

As she was about to step inside her car, he spoke. "Can you stop being so distant from me?", his voice was gentle as if almost begging her. She was taken aback by his sudden change as he has always been playful around her.

"I mean won't you give me a goodbye kiss?", he immediately changed to his playful style. She rolled her eyes and immediately got inside the car then asked her driver to drive away.

Adrian chuckled as her car disappeared in the distance.

After a couple of days, Kiara had to leave for a mission to Somalia. It was a dangerous mission and would take a few days to complete it. Kiara had everything planned out.

Most of the people asked her to take help from the King's people but Kiara denied at first. Later on, it was discovered that they actually needed the King as it was a big mission so Kiara had no choice but to contact Adrian.

Finally, everyone from the Queen's clan were meeting the King of Awoken by the Vengeance officially. Kiara didn't give much opinion about Adrian and acted all professional while Adrian did the same.

It was the first time that both the Queen and King were collaborating for one mission. Everyone were excited to see both of them fight side by side in the mission.

They left for Somalia in two days in their own private jets. Kiara was all quiet with her calm and cold demeanor so was Adrian.
