Chapter 5: The First Kiss
Maria couldn't believe how quickly she had fallen for Gabriel. It felt like they had only just met, but already she was head over heels in love with him.
She couldn't stop thinking about him, even when she wasn't with him. She found herself daydreaming about their next date, or the way he had looked at her the last time they were together.
As they walked hand in hand through the streets of the city, Maria felt a sense of contentment wash over her. She felt safe and happy with Gabriel, like nothing could touch her as long as he was by her side.
They had decided to take a stroll through the city, enjoying the cool night air and the hustle and bustle of the crowds around them. Maria had never felt so alive, so free, as she did with Gabriel.
As they walked, Gabriel suddenly pulled Maria into an alleyway, pressing her up against the wall. Maria's heart leapt into her throat as she looked up at him, her eyes wide with surprise.
Gabriel leaned in, his lips brushing against hers. Maria felt a jolt of electricity run through her body as their lips met, and she kissed him back eagerly.
As they kissed, Maria felt a rush of emotions wash over her. She had never felt this way before, like she was on fire with desire.
Gabriel pulled away from the kiss, his eyes locked on hers. "Maria," he whispered, his voice low and husky.
Maria felt her heart skip a beat as she looked up at him. She had never heard her name sound so beautiful before.
Gabriel leaned in and kissed her again, his lips more urgent this time. Maria could feel his desire growing, and she wanted nothing more than to be with him.
As they kissed, Gabriel's hands moved down to her waist, pulling her closer to him. Maria felt her body press against his, and it was like nothing she had ever experienced before.
Finally, Gabriel pulled away from the kiss, his eyes locked on hers. "Maria," he said again, his voice filled with a mix of desire and concern.
"What is it?" Maria asked, her breath coming in short gasps.
Gabriel took a deep breath before speaking. "There's something I need to tell you," he said, his voice serious.
Maria felt a sense of dread wash over her. She had a feeling she knew what he was going to say.
"I'm a vampire," Gabriel said, his eyes locked on hers.
Maria's heart stopped. She couldn't believe what she was hearing. Vampires were supposed to be mythical creatures, the stuff of legends.
But as she looked into Gabriel's eyes, she knew that he was telling the truth.
For a moment, she was silent, trying to process everything. Then, she laughed.
"You're joking, right?" she asked, looking up at him.
Gabriel shook his head. "I'm serious, Maria. I'm a vampire."
Maria rolled her eyes, not wanting to believe him. "Okay, fine. You're a vampire. Whatever you say."
Gabriel looked at her, his expression serious. "I'm not joking, Maria. This is serious."
Maria felt a sense of fear wash over her. She didn't know anything about vampires. All she knew was what she had seen in movies and TV shows.
Gabriel seemed to sense her fear, because he took her hand and squeezed it reassuringly. "It's okay," he said softly. "I won't hurt you. I promise."
Maria looked up at him, feeling a sense of trust wash over her. She knew that she should be afraid, but something about Gabriel's words and his touch made her feel safe.
"I believe you," she said finally, looking up at him.
Gabriel smiled, his expression softening. "Thank you," he said. "I know it's a lot to take in."
Maria nodded, still feeling a bit overwhelmed. "Yeah, it is," she said.
They stood in silence for a moment, both lost in thought. Then, Gabriel spoke again.
"I know it's a lot to ask, but can we still go on our date tonight?" he said, looking at Maria hopefully.
Maria hesitated for a moment, unsure of what to do. But then she looked up at Gabriel, and she knew that she wanted to go with him.
"Okay," she said finally, giving him a small smile.
Gabriel grinned, his eyes lighting up. "Great," he said, taking her hand.
They continued their walk through the city, hand in hand. Maria tried to push the thought of Gabriel being a vampire to the back of her mind, but it was impossible. She couldn't stop thinking about it.
As they walked, Gabriel talked about his life as a vampire, explaining how he had become one and what it meant for him. Maria listened, fascinated, despite her fear.
Finally, they arrived at their destination – a beautiful castle nestled in the mountains. Gabriel had rented it out for the night, and he had planned a romantic dinner for the two of them.
Maria was speechless as they walked through the castle, taking in the grandeur of the place. She had never been somewhere so beautiful before.
As they sat down to dinner, Gabriel poured them each a glass of wine. Maria took a sip, and she could taste the richness of the vintage. She looked up at Gabriel, feeling grateful for everything he had done for her.
"Thank you," she said softly, smiling at him.
Gabriel reached across the table, taking her hand. "Anything for you," he said.
They continued to talk and laugh throughout dinner, enjoying each other's company. And when the meal was finished, Gabriel led Maria outside, where they stood under the moonlight.
As they stood there, Gabriel leaned in and kissed Maria again, his lips soft and gentle. Maria felt her heart swell with love for him, and she knew that she wanted to be with him forever.
They pulled away from the kiss, their eyes locked on each other. And as they stood there, in the shadow of the castle, Maria knew that her life would never be the same again.
Chapter 5 closed with the realization that Maria's life has taken a drastic turn after learning that Gabriel is a vampire. Despite her initial shock and fear, she is still drawn to him and is willing to continue their relationship. They share their first kiss under the moonlight, solidifying their love for each other. The chapter ends with a sense of uncertainty about what the future holds for them, but Maria knows that she wants to be with Gabriel no matter what.
