Chapter 4: The First Date

Maria couldn't believe that she was dating a vampire. It was like something out of a fantasy novel. But as she spent more time with Gabriel, she realized that he was just like any other person - except for his immortality and need to drink blood.

One evening, Gabriel showed up at Maria's doorstep, dressed in a suit and holding a bouquet of flowers. "Are you ready for our date?" he asked with a grin.

Maria's heart fluttered as she took in Gabriel's handsome appearance. "Where are we going?" she asked, unable to contain her excitement.

"It's a surprise," Gabriel said, taking her hand and leading her out the door.

They drove for hours, winding through the mountains until they arrived at an old castle perched on the edge of a cliff. Maria's eyes widened in amazement as she took in the majestic beauty of the castle.

As they walked through the castle gates, Maria couldn't help but feel a sense of magic in the air. The castle was lit by candles and torches, casting flickering shadows on the stone walls.

Gabriel led Maria through the castle, showing her each room in turn. They walked through the grand ballroom, the luxurious bedrooms, and the ancient dining hall.

Finally, Gabriel led Maria to a balcony that overlooked the mountains. There, he had set up a small table with a candle and a bottle of red wine.

"This is beautiful," Maria whispered, taking in the stunning view.

Gabriel pulled out a chair for her and poured her a glass of wine. "I wanted to show you something special," he said, taking a seat across from her.

As they sipped wine and talked, Maria felt a sense of peace and contentment that she had never experienced before. Gabriel was charming, intelligent, and kind. She felt lucky to have met him.

As the night wore on, the temperature dropped, and Maria shivered in her thin dress. Gabriel noticed her discomfort and stood up, pulling off his coat and wrapping it around her shoulders.

"Thank you," Maria said, feeling a warmth spread through her body.

Gabriel looked at her, his eyes intense. "Maria, there's something else I need to tell you," he said.

Maria's heart skipped a beat. "What is it?" she asked, nervous anticipation coursing through her veins.

Gabriel took a deep breath. "I've been thinking about this for a while now," he said. "And I know it might be soon, but I can't help how I feel. Maria, I love you."

Maria's heart swelled with emotion. She had never felt this way before, but she knew that she loved Gabriel too.

"I love you too," she said, reaching out to take Gabriel's hand.

Gabriel leaned in, and Maria felt his lips brush against hers. The kiss was soft and tender, but filled with a passion that she had never felt before.

As they broke apart, Maria knew that her life would never be the same. She had fallen in love with a vampire, and she was ready to see where this relationship would take her.
