Dear Journal,
I felt as if something was horribly wrong and felt so shocked that he was still alive, I knew something was wrong and he was at fault but I couldn’t figure out how. That night I had gone to sleep thinking about that huge scar he had and how he had made it out alive from the fire. I finally fell asleep and dreamed a dream I hadn't had in a while, someone was chasing me as I tried to escape their grasp, but this time when I was trapped I saw someone I had seen in pictures protect me and she told me to run “Run son run!” I ran and ran and when I turned around I saw the woman fight the man and hit him with something that had smoke, the man yelled and turned around to see me then I saw his face. Then I woke up. I remembered everything.

Dear Journal,
I remembered everything and called the police in and told them about a case they hadn’t been able to solve in so many years. I told them I was the missing kid named Gabriel and I had remembered everything. My mother Jane, had wanted to protect me from my father, Charlie. Charlie wanted to kill me and he wanted to gain money from my mother when she refused. So he plotted to kill me to scare my mom into giving him the money and everything else he wanted. But Jessica wanted to help my mom with her situation and reported him. The police were bribed by my father into not arresting him, he then told the henchman to kidnap me and to sell me, my aunt was able to save me and put me in Sunny Days Orphanage. She couldn’t save my mom in time and she barely managed to escape. My father had been seeking her out all these years to make sure she never talked about it or he would kill her too. (I know this because I had asked to meet her) After the police had enough information they found out where he lived and he was arrested. My aunt was released with only minor charges of theft but we decided to oversee them because she told us she had been told to steal jewelry for my real father. I don’t want to call him that so let’s just call him Charlie. Anyways, I apologized to my aunt and she was so happy that Charlie would never hurt her family again and thanked me. My cousins apologized to me and so did I, Kay said he had heard Aunty Jessica talk with someone on the phone and knew they were someone bad but didn’t want his mom to get in trouble so he didn’t say anything. I forgave him and he forgave me. My parents also found where my real mother was buried and took me there. I gave her flowers and asked her to not feel bad for me anymore and I had parents to take care of me now. I felt the wind blow and knew that she had loved me so much, I just wished Charlie had too, maybe none of this would have happened. So I went to visit Charlie. He was very surprised that I had gone to visit him, (he had been sentenced to 12 years in prison.) I plan on visiting him as much as I can in hopes that he gets better and changes. I don’t know if I’ll be able to forgive him though. Because I grew up without parents. These first few visits weren’t the best. His surprise came with mockery and anger. We argue a lot. I don’t know if I can even reach him anymore. I feel like I’m changing too. I’m scared for the future.
