Dear Journal,
It’s been a while. I’ve been busy, figuring out the family business and being more productive about figuring out what happened with Jane and Jessica’s origin. Jessica stopped coming to our house as often as she did, probably because mom found out that one of the maids had been robbing from her, (must have been one of Jessica’s maids sent over here.) Anyways, I feel like Eli and Kay must have found something out or something because they seem so odd nowadays. I hope they’re okay; but also I hope that they are not involved with Aunt’s case. I think that I have found enough evidence to prove my Aunt has been stealing from us and that she killed her sister, Jane, all those years ago. Now I only have to bring it up with my lawyer.

Dear Journal,
With all the evidence that I presented to my parents and the lawyer they decided to take it to court. They also said that I seemed way too young for this, and now that I think about it maybe they’re right why am I so caught up in this. I’m fourteen but that seems too young to be interested in something like this; I wonder why? My cousins on the other hand when they heard this seemed really impressed that I had done all this research as if it were for someone that I knew and thought that I was so smart, that is before I told them that it was evidence against their mom. Kay stared at me and then said that I was wrong and that their mom wouldn’t do that. I didn’t know what to say and then Eli started to cry and started to yell that I was making all of it up, I didn’t know what to tell them and I tried to comfort them about it, but they wouldn’t listen and told me to go away. I didn’t know they were going to take the news so harshly and I had also thought they didn’t like their mom that much, guess I was wrong. I have to find a way to make it up to them, I just have to find out how.

Dear Journal,
Today was the trial. It was super weird to be there, and everyone just stared at me. I guess it was pretty clear that they all heard that I had demanded this trial and were angry at the fact that an unreasonable little boy had asked for the trial to take place in the first place. I was not scared, and just ignored them, I was going to bring justice to Jessica’s sister and her family. The judge walked in as we all stood up, he glanced at me and then ignored me. Let’s see if he can ignore me after all the evidence that I prepared against Jessica would lead her to be guilty. That’s when I saw Kay. He looked sad and afraid of something, but it didn’t look like he was really looking at me. I turned around and saw a strange man sitting a few seats away from me. I felt as though I’ve seen him before but I couldn’t remember, but I couldn’t quite see him either with the big hat he wore. When my Aunt walked in she looked up and immediately saw him, she looked as if she was going to faint. I looked at the man and I think I saw him smile, it was actually super freaky. My aunt looked really afraid and for a second I thought I saw a tear fall down. But as soon as I thought I saw it, she wiped it away. Then, I started to wonder if this was really the right thing to do, I guess I’ll just see it through and I'll stop if something happens. As the trial started the judge asked me to present the evidence since I had called for this, (also maybe because my parents are super rich, perks I guess.) I told them that I saw my Aunt with jewelry everytime she left my house and that she had stopped coming as much when the maid that served my mom had been fired because she had been stealing from us. The judge looked at me and then smirked, (what the heck?!) then he said that it wasn’t enough evidence to hear about it and said there needed to be more proof than just my words. Well of course I knew that but he didn’t even let me finish. I replied, “Of course I know, I was just stating the facts first, and then after your honor had understood the situation I would present the evidence.” He looked so shocked and embarrassed, but he let me go on. I came forward and showed him the pictures that I had found when trying to find out more of Jessica. Then I asked the witness to walk in and testify why Jessica had ordered her to steal from us.(the maid)With the evidence stacked on Aunt she could go to jail for at least 10 years. The judge heard Jessica’s lawyer speak to prove her innocent alas it was no use and they were done for. The judge sentenced her to 6 years in prison, I was bewildered that he had only given her 6 years but hey at least justice was given to her sister. But when I glanced at Jessica expecting her to be angry, she wasn’t looking at me or the judge, she was glancing at the man that sat in the back, and looked so afraid. I knew something was off and when I looked at that man I got this overwhelming feeling. That man that was sitting there, the man that scared my Aunt so much, the man that I had seen before in my pictures of investigating him...he was that man that had been with Jessica’s sister, Charlie, Jane’s husband.
