2: Fated Meeting

Rayne's POV

It's finally the day when it was decided that I would leave the house, if It's complicated to understand then I'll explain.... I got into college, it is kind of a big deal since I was thinking I'll be homeschooled throughout, I did not expect the support that my parents gave me, but I do appreciate it really.

"The school probably doesn't exist, I'm just saying anything that comes to mind"

My school is Heston school of Art, I just chose it because it was a school that'll really help me to feel the change between where I grew up and the world.

Today is my first day, and I am beginning to enjoy it. My alarm being as early as ever woke me up but there is no time to be lazy on my first day so I reluctantly get up from bed and take my bath, do my normal routine and dress up, as I was on my way to class I met this girl who was really bubbly and she volunteered to take me to class because we kinda had the same class schedule.

My name is Maurice, she said as we began chatting.

Oh hi , I'm Rayne, nice to meet you Maurice, I replied. "Rayne, thats a very nice name and its actually kind of unique, it's not that popular if you know what I mean" "Uuuh thanks for that, actually this is my first time in a school, I was homeschooled throughout so I really don't know how everything works" "Oh don't worry, you are lucky you met me, not everyone is enthusiastic to help a stranger" "Then why are you willing to help me" I asked her and she replied "Oh that's because you seem cute and I love positive thinking"

Her reply was very touching and I think thats how our friendship clicked. She took me to the first class and I did the necessary introduction needed to integrate with the class and sat down to listen to the teacher, after 1hour and 30 minutes the bell for the next class went of and Maurice dragged me off, as we were going to the next class, a guy stopped us to ask Maurice for her contact details, oh I forgot to add that she is very pretty with a nice figure, so it didn't come as a surprise when she was stopped, and it may be funny, but I was proud of her, because even though she is bubbly she could be shy when she is recieving attention she didn't expect to come but she was holding her ground quite well. You may say that we just met but I am really observant when I want to be and in this situation I am. After their little discussion she continues dragging me off and as we got to the class surprisingly 5 minutes before time she begins to tell me how hot she finds the guy who just talked to her.

Apparently the guy's name was Mason and he was what I'll call a handsome nerd, because he aces all his classes from what I heard from her explanation and he is a twin with a guy named Jason who was not exactly the opposite but more outgoing.

I actually do fancy Jason, what can I, but he is cute but I won't call it a crush right now though. Maurice told me how she was glad that Mason actually likes her because she has had a crush on him for a while now and I'm happy for her, as we continue our girl talk Mason and Jason come into the class which and seats in front of us which wasn't that surprising given the fact that Mason likes Maurice. After the took their seats they begin to make conversations with us.

"Hi I'm Mason, I'm sure you already know since we met earlier in the hall when I wanted to talk to your friend, Maurice and this is my brother Jason" Mason begins.

I'm Rayne, nice to meet you again, and nice to meet you too Jason, I reply kindly to his greeting. Mason beams a smile at me and directs it towards Maurice shortly after but Jason doesn't say anything, like he is holding something back. Before I could get any more curious m, drags Mason outside with suppressed urgency which was kinda rude, if he didn't want to talk he would've just said so, oh well maybe their was a reason? I try to calm myself with the excuse.

Jason's POV

After Rayne gave her greetings, I was too stunned to reply and the only course of action I could take without seeming like an idiot was to grab Mason and sprint off, I feared that if I didn't I might do something that'll make her hate me, and I didn't want that.

"What the hell, man, why did you drag me off like that, I was enjoying my closeness with my mate, you know you are meant to allow me to enjoy my new found feelings" Mason said feeling irritated.

"I know, I'm sorry but it just caught me off guard, I think I might be down with a flu cause how could I not have known Rayne was my mate till I got that close to her, I almost jumped her there and the only way I had to stop myself was to drag you out to talk to you" I replied. Mason who was abt to start another round of nagging paused with wide eyes, "What!! Are you serious, thats great dude, but its wierd because I didn't get any scent from her maybe that is why you didn't know till you were close". He muses

There should be a reasonable explanation right? I ask and he decides that we should go see our grandfather who knew everything abt our ways, maybe he has seen something similar before. After our discussion we were already halfway through the class we were meant to attend so we just apologise to the teacher and join the reat of the class to complete our lessons, I also used this chance to apologise to Rayne and gave a foolish excuse about how I needed to ease myself, she may not buy it but at keast I hope she sees how sincerely sorry I feel, I don't want to completely flop our first encounter.
