There were also two more families against Victoria and her scholarship, one of them was the athletic leader Luis Melis's family. The young man was interested in her, and his family did not like that; Victoria was too insignificant for their beloved heir.

“Well, interesting,” he said, moving on to the report on his work and his department. Victoria worked for dreadful pay and paid for a precarious little room in front of the university. Six months ago, she had been kicked out of her dorm due to an internal accusation. The pressure was terrible; the girl had been accused of taking men to her bedroom for money in exchange for sex. Photos were taken of men entering and leaving her bedroom, but the report in defense of the accused was that she was not in the country. She had gone to visit her grandmother abroad, but no one stood up for her but the dean, and she was only asked to leave and only then keep her scholarship.

An explicable light came out of Draco's eyes; the man was really upset about the situation.

“Milan, tell the dean to come; I want to talk to him seriously,” Draco said as he returned to his laptop and typed a mile a minute. He had a lot of work; he would take care of Victoria Levin later.

“Yes, sir; he confirmed for within an hour,” said Milan, looking at his boss without understanding what was going on. He just hoped that the girl wouldn't pay for the mistakes of others. As a connoisseur of other people's intentions, he could see that the girl was a sun; if she were any better, they would put wings on her.

While he was writing, it caught his attention that Victoria was barely 20 years old and had only one year of college left. He had heard from Virginia that her little sister was very intelligent and had skipped grades in school because of her prodigious mind. But now that he remembered it, there was always a hint of envy when she spoke of little Victoria.

While he was working and his mind was between his work and Victoria, who is 12 years his junior, his cell phone rang insistently. When he saw the number, his eyes turned as cold as ice.

“Mother, what's going on?” he answered bored, leaving the person on the other end of the line speechless.

“Draco, don't talk to me like that. You were supposed to be home half an hour ago; Janet has been waiting for you for a long time; you said you would come,” said Mabel, his mother, who is looking for a wife for her son. Since that experience from that time, her son has not been seen with any women; she hates Virginia for it. She hates her so much that she would like to murder her and her whole family.

“I didn't say I was going; you said you wanted me to go; I didn't say yes,” he said calmly. Draco is a man of few words, and his reserved and cold character had worsened after that incident. It's not that he was in love with Virginia, but rather it was a relief. What he couldn't bear was the scandal and losing face publicly.

“Draco, stop thinking about that damn woman; you have to come. We're talking to the Belmontes about a family commitment; you're 31 years old; I want grandchildren,” Mabel said annoyedly while Draco had put the phone on speaker and continued typing on his computer.

The woman had heard the typing without getting an answer and wanted to skin him alive until she heard him speak.

“I'm not interested. I don't have time. I have to work, Mother. We'll talk later,” Draco said, hanging up as his mother nearly threw the cell phone on the floor. That son of hers was so rebellious, first he wants to marry that young woman who, although she was from a good family, she always thought she was below his status, and now it turns out that he doesn't want any of her candidates.

Meanwhile, Vicky returns to college and is intercepted by her friend, a young economics student who is not very remarkable but who manages to pay for college with great effort.

"Vicky, did you manage to get a backup? That witch Milenka has been meeting with the dean; I think she wants to kick you out for good this time. It doesn't matter how many times you tell her you have no relationship with Luis, she keeps accusing you of being a climber, I hate her so much...” said Emily, her dearest friend. Vicky smiled bitterly, only hoping Draco would help her. If he didn't, she was lost.

“Emily, don't worry. Rather, let's get to class; I don't want to stay longer than I have to. We have to go to work,” said Victoria as she sighed. She had to pay her rent, since she would have nowhere to live. Emily had taken her in for a while, but she saw how her parents worked; she couldn't be a freeloader for long.

After class, Emily runs off to her job. A fat, greasy man is her boss, and he has been harassing the beautiful girls all the time, and the situation was already the worst.

That night, Victoria and Emily were leaving the place, just waiting for their pay; they received their biweekly pay, and for Victoria, that was her rent. The landlady was a kind woman, but not stupid; she was waiting for her but also pressuring her.

The fat man asked Victoria to come over, however, when he saw her, he put a perverted smile on his ugly face, while Victoria looked at him impassively.

“Vicky, honey, they tell me you're having trouble at university; you should come to me so I can help you. I could pay for your university. You know, I can give you a beautiful apartment, a car to go to your studies, you should just be less proud, I'll treat you well, you won't want to get out of my bed if you try me,” he said as he tried to get closer to her.

“I've come for my pay; I have to go; it's getting late. And if you come any closer, I want to tell you that I'm recording everything, and it's live on my friend's cell phone, so don't you dare touch me, Mother,” Victoria said, looking at him coldly. She was very scared, but she couldn't show it.

The man clenched his fists in annoyance, took out an envelope, and threw it in Victoria's face. He was very angry. Victoria left there scared but happy with her salary until Emily approached her with a panicked face, looking her up and down.

“Vicky, you didn't link me; I was scared to death; I was afraid that creep would do something to you,” Emily said, pale with fear.

Victoria raised her eyebrows and then frowned, remembering that before entering she had hurriedly posted the link, but when she looked at her cell phone, it was broadcasting to none other than Draco Lennox, who had heard everything.
