Taoist and Little Fox – 04

Walking quickly, Ling Si soon arrived at the capital’s most prosperous commercial street. The people on the street had now more than doubled and the sounds of peddlers selling their wares were several times higher. Currently, on their right was Satin Wing Pavilion and on their left was the Drunken Fairy Restaurant. The bright and beautiful colors of new clothes dangled and blossomed before Su Tang’s eyes while the rich fragrances of chicken legs agitated Su Tang’s heart.

“Buy clothes first or eat first?” Ling Si asked while placing Su Tang on top of a little horse that was tied in front of a store.

“Oh, let me take a look first.”

Su Tang’s small head turned like a pellet-drum, one moment looking at the Drunken Fairy Restaurant and the next, at Satin Wing Pavilion. The temptation the two gave him was not small and he was reluctant to give up either.

“Want to wear new clothes but also want to eat chicken legs,” Su Tang finally said after having looked for a long time.

Ling Si was amused by his small appearance and reached out to rub his hair, even playing with the exaggerated cowlick that was sticking out. Su Tang pitifully raised his head to look at him and puffed out his cheeks, looking like a hamster asking to be thrown food.

However, it was actually just a little fox that was both shameless and gluttonous.

“You’re so conflicted about it,” Ling Si said, laughing. When he finished, he pull Su Tang into his embrace, letting him sit on his arm. “Let’s buy clothes first. The shop will probably be closed if we come later.”

Su Tang nodded and very much liked how Ling Si was holding him. Sitting high and seeing far, he could easily sweep his gaze all around and see all the delicious things that were being sold.

As soon as the two had started walking to the shop’s doorway, a miscellaneous helper happily came over to welcome them. Looking from Ling Si to Su Tang, the helper felt that everything was immediately clear. Looking up at the pampered and delicate looking wife, he felt that this was the kind of person that must definitely be carried when walking.

“Is the Young Master buying clothes for yourself or buying for your Little Wife?” the helper asked.

Su Tang first blushed then hastily waved his hand. “No, no, no, I am not his Little Wife.”

“Oh, then you just haven’t passed through the doorway[1] yet, ah.” The helper was evidently understanding.

“It’s not that either!” Su Tang swung around and glared at Ling Si who was trying really hard to hold in his laughter. Though Ling Si could see that Su Tang’s little face was becoming very red, he nonetheless could not help but feel secretly happy in his heart.

“I want to buy two clothes for him first. Are there any ready-made ones?” Ling Si did not step in to resolve the matter, simply skipping over it.

“First put down your family’s Little Wife and let me see what size will fit him,” the helper stated.

Ling Si nodded and softly asked Su Tang: “Can you stand?”

“Can, but you tell him not to call me that way. We are absolutely not that……,” Su Tang said and pouted.

“Okay.” Ling Si placed Su Tang down and said: “He is shy, not used to being called such.”

The helper made an agreeing sound and even more felt that the two young couples were indeed newly weds. This handsome Young Master really just wants to lavishly spoil his Little Wife. Cut sleeves nowadays are indeed really amazing, ah.

However, he did not say it aloud, merely thinking it. Roughly sweeping a quick glance at Su Tang, he then said: “We’ve just completed two sets of cloud-pattern brocades, one white and one blue. Which one would you like?”

“All of it,” said Ling Si.

“Very well.” Receiving such a big sell, the helper smiled and ran into the inner room.

After the clothes were brought out, Ling Si directly had Su Tang move behind a screen to put it on. Along the way, he also brought a few shoes and socks.

Half way through with putting on the clothes, Su Tang called for him in a low voice. Puzzled and wondering what had happened, Ling Si hurriedly approached to take a look. It turned out to be Su Tang wanting him to help put on the clothes.

This was truly… too delicate, ba. Ling Si really wanted to laugh.

However, Su Tang was not too embarrassed. He had transmigrated into this world for a several days now and had also directly transformed a fox demon. The clothes as well had to be conjured up in order for them to appear. However, he did not want to wear conjured clothes just to have them disappear again and even if he wanted to learn how to wear normal clothes, there had been no opportunity to practice. In any case, clothes in this world were really difficult to wear. Between this sleeve and that belt, at the moment, he was still confuse.

As a result, when he had first arrived in the human world, he had not worn any clothes.

Fortunately, he had Ling Si.

Even if he were to lose face, at least it would only be lost by one person.

“How are you so delicate, ah, that you won’t even put on the clothes?” Ling Si asked with a smile.

“Ah, you can’t say that to me. I use to directly conjure them up before.” Su Tang tried to save his image.

“So powerful.” Ling Si pretended to be awed and cupped his hands to flatter him.

“Naturally.” Su Tang proudly raised his chin.

“Then why don’t you conjure them up now?” Ling Si asked once again.

“I… I don’t enough magic power.” The more Su Tang spoke, the softer his voice became, until he finally did not speak at all. Fuming, he angrily glared at Ling Si and relying on the fact that other person temperament was good, he openly behaved like a spoiled child.

At the side, the system stuck out it’s tongue. “I think the male lord not only acts as your mount, but also as your nanny. A very bitter fate.”

Suffering a loss from Ling Si and being laughed at by the system, Su Tang felt an imbalance in his heart. “It’s all fine for you but my memories were erased so of course I can’t do anything.

“Come on, given how foolish you are, even if you did have the memories, you still wouldn’t know how to dress yourself.” After it had finished speaking, the system immediately made a line and slipped away, not even waiting for Su Tang to make a retort.

With the clothes completely put on, Ling Si handed him his trousers and shoes. Raising his eyebrows, he asked: “Will you wear these yourself, or do you want me to help you?”

“Thank you, but no!” With a red face, Su Tang pushed Ling Si out.

Ling Si turned around just in time then to see the helper standing in a corner with a cloth in hand.

The helper awkwardly smiled and said: “You are really good to your Little Wife.”

Ling Si did not speak, only picking up two bolts of cloth. He gave it to the other person and had him hurry to make two more sets of clothes for Su Tang.

Su Tang came out just in time to see Ling Si handing over the money. By looking at the decoration in the shop, it was obvious to see that the things here were very expensive. Ling Si did not seem to care however and casually fished out a gold bead from his purse. The shopkeeper was beaming as he put it into his inner pocket.

“Ahem-ahem.” Su Tang lightly coughed twice, hinting at Ling Si to look at him.

Actually, Ling Si had already heard his footsteps and knew that Su Tang had come over. He just wasn’t able to turn his head in time and Su Tang just could not help himself.

Truly an irrepressible little fox.

Ling Si smilingly looked at him and Su Tang immediately straighten his waist and back. With his small appearance being so adorable, and owing to the fact of how genuinely beautiful he was, it’s no wonder that he would be so smug.

Su Tang was wearing the white chang pao[2] made of cloud pattern brocade. It had an exquisite and decorative design that revealed a rather simplistic elegance. It was obviously an atmospheric style and it was especially delicate looking when worn by Su Tang.

With his pair of big obsidian-like eyes, his skin as white as snow, and his lips so red that it was as though his mouth held a red cinnabar, he looked like a bride ready for marriage. His black hair was also tied into a high ponytail and it gave him a spiritual impression that match well with the clothes. All in all, he was simply a fairy who had fallen into the mundane world.

Ling Si looked first at Su Tang’s clothes then arrived at his face. His heart once again began to play a rapid beat. For a moment, he was unable to even say any complimenting words as he simply could not stop himself from staring at Su Tang.

The helper and shopkeeper next to him were in a similar situation, their mouth unable to form complete sentences. They could only incessantly mutter out, “beautiful, really beautiful.” There was even a bit of comical gesturing that made Su Tang want to laugh.

“That…… is it good?” Seeing that Ling Si had not spoken still, he finally could not help it and asked.

“En, very good.” Ling Si nodded. At heart, what Ling Si actually wanted to say was that he was extremely beautiful.

Though what he said was very subtle, Su Tang was nevertheless, feeling very satisfied in his heart. Unable to conceal the little hint of pride from showing on his face, he bounced over to Ling Si’s side and held out his hand with the meaning of letting Ling Si hold it.

“The wound on your foot is fine now, ah!” the helper suddenly said with surprise.

Su Tang stare blankly and stood awkwardly rigid like a icicle. He did not know where to put his hand and his eye scurried about in disorder, not daring to look at Ling Si.

Because he had been exposed.

Before he could even take back his hand, he felt his body becoming light, that was then followed by a hug and then by a grassy scent. Ling Si had pulled him into a hug and was carrying him close to his body. He then smilingly said: “He is delicate, must be carried.”
