After a while, we arrived at a small village, and I immediately sent one of my guards to fetch the doctor to tend to the wounded man. In the meantime, I had him taken to an inn so he could lie down and be more comfortable.

I also took the opportunity to take a good bath and change my clothes, which by the way consisted of trousers and a long-sleeved shirt, plus a cape and boots. I feel more comfortable wearing men’s clothing; it gives you more freedom to do things.

The doctor bows as a sign of greeting and inquires about the reason for his summons. I show him the dying man lying on the bed, so he approaches and begins to treat him with healing magic.
