Wise Guy's Destruction
"Catch that woman!!" I heard the obese man shout as he was chasing me.
I saw the vendor who has the chilli stall whose banner said from around the world and I said a fast prayer to god to forgive me for what I was about to do. And as I was just a few steps away from the stall I pushed my hand and the chilli powder flew in the air and I could hear people shouting from the pain and I was sorry for it but at least my pain in the *** was gone now.
Gone, long, long, way back gone.
I kept running and running until I reach the park where it was much crowded and I bent down keeping my hands on my knees and trying to regain my normal breathing rate and after calming down I looked back turning my head over my shoulders to see if that man was still chasing me or not.
I was glad that no one was following me and to be completely sure I look sideways I didn't found that man and I was happy at that but I for sure found a boy sitting on a bench he looked quite lonely and...upset?
No, I guess he looked angry!
Yes, he definitely looked angry and I kept curiously looking at him. Seconds passed to minutes but nothing changed but one thing I noticed while looking at him continuously for minutes was that he was a boy of around 10 or 11 years and like any other boy of his age he was a playful and joyous kid only he was too good at acting.
Well at least for a boy of his age because it was clear to me he was actually trying to maintain this angry facade and he was quite good at it too.
Not able to keep myself anymore I walked to him, as my curiosity win again.
'Curiosity killed the cat!' my conscience thoughts invaded in my mind again as they always did whenever I did something for which I was nervous for or for which I couldn't control myself.
'But I'm no cat! I am a human...human being for that matter...HOMO SAPIENS so I'm safe' and as always I beat my conscious for it to only bite me back later. But I couldn't understand how in the world talking to a 10 year is gonna bite me back later.
I sat on the far end of the bench while the boy sat in the middle seeing I got no reaction I scoot closer to him and I saw him looking in my direction from the corner of his eyes and he was going to say something but I beat him to it.
Because only after speaking I realized that he was going to say something to me.
Damn Neurons! They are so slow I need to have more almonds.
"Look I know you saw me so there's no point in ignoring me." that's what I spoke to him before he could have said something.
He replied monotonously "I was not ignoring you, quite the contrary actually, I was going to acknowledge you an-"
"Really?! Well, that's a relief." I sighed.
"Don't interrupt me again, and answer me Who are you? and What do you want from me?" he spoke passively, looking straight in my eyes.
WoW...How rude I've never met someone so rude before.
"Well for starters I'm a woman if you don't know and What would I want from you, you are just little boy."
"I may be a boy but I'm not that small to not understand that you are a woman that could want enough from me, so I ask again and for the last time, what do you want? Because believe me this world is greedy enough to take what it wants at any cost. When they can take a life of
something as small as silkworm to get silk from it, then what I am just a 10-year-old child as you may say."
Wow, that was really deep.
"I only wanted to know why were you sitting alone? Why not play with those kids of your age? Instead of trying to mimic the angry facial expression and neutral voice?" I ask as innocently as possible because this kid seems to be very cautious and observant.
His head whiplashed towards me, in a flash with eyes as big as saucers and mouth a bit hung down, "How'd you know?"
As if a waterfall all his neutral expression and passive voice fell down.
His voice got a bit high octave too. "You are not here to kidnap me right? And ask Boss something drastic in return for your Boss? Because if you are Boss is gonna kill you villain!" he spoke aggressively as his voice changed from a normal American accent to a heavy Italian accent.
And kept me wondering if he is Italian? But recalling his words I laugh.
"Oh! Boy, No I'm no kidnapper and I for sure won't kidnap you. Now don't want your Boss on my *** when I finally got a madman out of my ***."
I spoke shaking my head and the boy started grinning a wide smile all the traces of doubts were gone as I freely joke to him and he started laughing and I did too because quite frankly I just need a reason to laugh.
"Tell me how did you get the madman out of your ***? Please!! I love stories." he spoke excitingly much different to his last vocal.
"Well you see I was buying the veggies and I spend half an hour, HALF-AN-HOUR at his stall to select all the fine, green and fresh vegetables and when I was done he made the bill double the amount of what it was supposed to after discount!!
I told him in the very start I want discount cause I'm buying whole week supply from him it was four polybags of veggies and he agreed but when the billing time came he back off from his word.
I mean he gave me his word, WORD!
So I told him if he is giving me a discount or not? I continuously asked him three times and he calmly said no and I became furious so I threw all his veggies on the damn floor and ran.
So I ran and ran and he chase and chase, many obstacles came and gone, many I created, many he created, finally I saw a chilli powder store and I push it and it mixed in the air and so finally I got rid of him.
End Of The Story!" and by the time I finished my story and turned to look at him with a sigh, I found him looking at me in complete awe, as if I were the knight in the shining armour and he was my princess.
"Wow you are so brave, so intelligent, so hero!!! I want to be 50% like you. Would you teach me to be you, my hero?" he asked with puppy eyes.
"Why, of course, I would! But the question is why you want to become only 50% like me and not 100% ?" I asked a bit offended.
"Well, rest 50% I want to become like Boss!"
"OH," I spoke with a bit jealousy. Even though I've known this child for like five minutes.
"Yes he likes daring people only like you, my hero." he giggled like a cute little girl and I laughed with him.
"Well, that for sure I am," I said proudly.
"I need to learn to be like you, a daring man if I ever want to work for Boss," he said with determination and I thought to encourage him further.
"Why yes, of course, everyone wants their employees to be risk takers, intelligent people and more so over be successful in that risk. Who wants their employees to be a *****?" I said and only after he questioned me about the swear word did I realize I used slang in front of a 10-year-old kid.
"*****?? Why would anyone want a ***** cat? They are pets, right? So??" he asked innocently only if he remains this innocent ten years from now, or even before that, I snorted at the thought.
"Ummm Yeah right, Yeah Ummm they do are pets," I mumbled wondering what excuse to make.
"So? Why would anyone act as a ***** cat for their Boss? Would my Boss get impressed?" I bit my tongue for my stupidity and at his innocence.
No wonder why adults never swear in front of kids. So many questions.
And now I had completely no idea how to correct this small and silly yet large and stupid mistake.
Wise men said 'Think before you speak' they were absolutely right. I mean look at the saying itself they must have thought then said such a marvellous saying.
Now first for firsts is getting a pack of plain almonds even if they are tasteless and I hate them.
No, maybe roasted almonds. Yep, they definitely sound better!
Now time for the problem at hand to be solved. Use your brain!!! Ahmm!?
"Well, umm....forget about all this. Tell me about this boss of yours he seems like your idol? Someone you look up to, someone who's your inspiration." I used my brain and simply tried to divert the question towards his boss. I mentally thanked his boss for saving me, truly he must be a very good man for he saved me
even unknowingly.
No wonder he was the inspiration of this little boy.
"Yes, he definitely is my idol. Fearless, dangerous, powerful, coraugeo-ca-co-courageous, like a true king." and I laughed hard. I wonder if he sat down and learnt all those words.
And he continued without a full stop while I look at this happy kid who was blabbering about how good his boss was, how he admired him. He told me his parents worked for him and he
dreamt to work for him.
I wish every boss was like his boss or his parents' boss. I sighed thinking not everyone had this good luck to have a decent boss. Pitying myself.
