Christie Cameron
I think that will do.
Christie Cameron
What is the tentative budget which has been decided ?
Xavier Ross
Tentatively, we have estimated about 560 million.
Xavier Ross
There might be a difference of 50 millions, more or less.
Christie Cameron
Five six- five hundred sixty million dollars ?
Christie Cameron
Don’t you think….
Xavier Ross
Sweetheart, none of the movies I make is below 430 million.
Xavier Ross
‘I’m yours’ is a big budget movie with massive potential… and if I had it my way, I’d say that 560 is still very less.
Xavier Ross
This movie has a potential to bloom the entertainment industry and revolutionise the film making industry.
Xavier has never made a movie which was less than 450 millions.
I know my work is great and it deserves all the recognition in the world…
But, it’s still hard to believe that a person puts enough trust in my story to invest that much amount of money on it.
It stirs my heart with an intense feeling of gratitude and joy.
I don’t use to watch a lot of movies but I have every dialogues of his every film remembered by heart.
But there is more important stuff in hand which needs to recognised.
And that “stuff” is really very important.
This “stuff” with intense pair of blue eyes.
Bluer than the sky and bluer than the ocean.
A jet black hair which is soo dark as if all the light in this room is being absorbed and yet, it shines with reflection.
A sharp and pointed nose and those raised cheekbones.
Jaws so wide, it imitates an wolf and so sharp, it could cut though an iron rod.
This “stuff” is none other than
He hasn’t spoken a word since the time he entered.
This blue-eyed-monster has decided to talk through those blue eyes.
Not once have I felt his eyes lift away from me.
It is as though he is preying upon me.
Studying and Considering each and every small detail and movement of mine.
It’s making me squirm under my seat.
He took my breath away the moment he walked into my penthouse.
I was enthralled with his beauty.
It made one thing clear… all the hype about him, be it his face, his beauty, his charisma…was not an understatement.
He deserved every ounce of recognition and fame he was getting.
Even if he was not a film star, he is a type of person who’d walk into an empty cafe and the next minute, the cafe would be flooded with costumers (whose sole purpose would be to take at least a glimpse of his devilishly handsome face)
I would be lying if I said I don’t feel any kind of attraction towards him.
He is what the werewolves call ‘the alpha’.
He is what I picture in every male lead in my books.
He is ultimately ‘the one’.
I am no female lead of a story.
I am no ‘damsel in distress’, no ‘femme fatale’ and especially no ‘brave heroine’.
I am just a regular introvert girl, who panics in the company of others, is always surrounded by books, has no life outside of books, friends who can be counted on the fingers of a single hand and certainly no love life.
That makes me what ? A person lesser than just a regular introvert girl.
But maybe… not a total looser..
I am a proud owner of a top publishing company.
I own millions of dollars.
I have a collection of books which not even the national library has.
I have collection of best coffee beans in the world.
My art gallery is not less than any art museum.
No one wants a girl who is obsessed with books and art and coffee.
My college years have taught me that.
And Elvis is no exception to this.
I maybe be attracted to this alpha of a male.
But that’s it, a simple attraction.
We will only have a meeting now and then, for a time period.
After this movie is done, we will go our separate ways and maybe never see or hear each other again.
And it would do me better if I get used to this fact earlier than later, as soon as possible.
Yes, it’s just a mere infatuation, nothing else, and I’ll slowly grow out of it.
I’ll just indulge myself in books and writing.
Maybe it will inspire to write another best selling book.
Xavier Ross
You seem to be in deep thoughts
Xavier Ross
Care to share.
Xavier’s voice bought be out of my reverie and I realised I had spaced out.
Christie Cameron
Nothing much.
Christie Cameron
I was thinking about the course of action from now.
Christie Cameron
Of how we would proceed with things now.
Christie Cameron
It’s still all new to me. And I want everything to be original. But at the same time I don’t want the movie to pale in comparison to the book.
Xavier Ross
I totally understand you.
Xavier Ross
Except for the budget and production, there was one more motive for me call a meeting.
Xavier Ross
It was for me to establish a relationship with you.
Christie Cameron
Wh-what ?
I shifted uncomfortably in my chair while Elvis coughed in annoyance.
He glared menacingly at Xavier.
Xavier Ross
I- I mean to establish a symbiotic trusting relationship.
Xavier Ross
You know, we could both get to know each other-
Xavier Ross
I mean we all could get to know each other
Xavier Ross
And understand the emotions which each character in the book portray.
Christie Cameron
That, that sounds good .
Christie Cameron
We should definitely do that.
Xavier Ross
Any other point which you would like to address?
Xavier Ross
And doubt or any suggestions?
Christie Cameron
Hmm, yes.
Christie Cameron
I would like to know the female lead of this project.
Christie Cameron
You see, this book mainly revolves around the male point of view but the female perspective is also very dominant.
Christie Cameron
I understand that there won’t be many scenes with the female lead but there are a lot of scenes with intense emotions.
Christie Cameron
Now that I think about it, I think I’d like to meet all the cast for the characters.
Christie Cameron
The male lead, the female lead, the male lead’s best friend, the female lead’s best friend, the florist, the commander, the maid, the chauffeur, the male lead’s team mates… everyone of them.
I think I spoke way too fast.
A bad habit when I am nervous.
Xavier Ross
We could do that.
Xavier Ross
No, we must do that. It will create a good bond between the cast.
Xavier Ross
Let’s do that the next Sunday.
Xavier Ross
But first, let’s creat a bond with the members who ARE present right now.
Xavier Ross
As you already know, I will be directing your book ‘I’m yours’. Xavier, Xavier Ross.
Xavier said playfully and extended his hands to shake in a comical way.
I smiled shyly at that. And shook his hands.
Christie Cameron
Nice to meet u.
Xavier Ross
And this the male lead of our project.
Xavier Ross
The greatest superstar, the one and only…Elvis Peterson
We both turned towards Elvis, who made no intention of forwarding his hand for a handshake.
His glaze was still fixated on mine.
Christie Cameron
Nice to meet you too, Elvis.
Christie Cameron
I don’t know much about you but I hope you can full off your assigned character.
I said with a little edge in my voice, extending my hand for a shake.
There was a look of shock on both Xavier’s and Elvis’s faces…. But Elvis face slowly turned into a full heart-clenching smirk.
He slowly shook my hands, and bought it to his lips, kissing the back of my hand ever so gently.
Elvis Peterson
It’s good to meet you too, Christie.
My insides clenched at the way my name rolled off this tongue.
This was the first time when I thought my name sounded sexy and sensual.
This was the first time he said my name.
Oh wait, it was the first time he said anything.
Xavier’s awkward cough interrupted my thought, and that’s when I realised that we both were staring deep into each other’s eyes while our hands were still locked.
Xavier Ross
What do you mean you don’t know about him ?
Xavier Ross
The world knows about and that’s everything there is to it…
Xavier Ross
He might seem interesting but trust me, there is nothing more to him that .
I think there is a lot more to him, something so astronomical huge which he is perfectly hiding.
But obviously, I wasn’t gonna say that
Elvis Peterson
Speak for yourself, old man!
Xavier Ross
Hey, it’s you who-
Christie Cameron
……Don’t know.
Xavier Ross
Did you say something?
Christie Cameron
I said I don’t know anything about you. It was only yesterday that my assistant informed me about you.
Christie Cameron
And I have yet to do some research into it.
Christie Cameron
So, no. I don’t know anything, nothing that even the whole world knows.
The faces of shock and surprise was evident on both the men’s expressions.
And what I said wasn’t a lie.
It’s true that I know nothing about him, except for he is super popular and is a great actor.
And off course, super rich
Xavier Ross
You mean, you haven’t seen any of his movies ?
Christie Cameron
Truthfully, no. I haven’t.
Christie Cameron
I may have seen a couple of trailers and teasers of his movies, but no movies.
Christie Cameron
I don’t watch a lot of movies.
Both of them eyed towards my 100 inch television screen and then snapped back at me with a questioning look.
Christie Cameron
That’s just for show.
Christie Cameron
Besides, I didn’t have any idea about how to decorate that wall so I installed that huge screen.
Christie Cameron
I don’t use it except for gaming.
At that word, surprise flash in both their eyes.
Why would you confess that.
Now they will think I am a total geek.
Elvis Peterson
You said you had still to research about me ?
Elvis said in his husky and gruff voice.
Elvis Peterson
It seems as if you doubt my abilities
Elvis Peterson
We can do something about it.
Elvis Peterson
Let’s get to know you each other.
Christie Cameron
I don’t think-
Elvis Peterson
I think it’s very ideal way.
Elvis Peterson
I get to know about your insights of the character.
Elvis Peterson
While you get to know about how I perceive them and thus how will I bring the desired personality out of the character.
Elvis Peterson
Doesn’t that sounds good, Ross?
Elvis asked for Xavier’s advice.
Xavier Ross
I don’t think that would be ne-
Elvis threw a hard glare Xavier’s way which made him visibly shudder.
Xavier Ross
I- I mean, I actually think that’s a good idea.
Xavier Ross
Don’t you, Christie?
Christie Cameron
I-I guess.
Christie Cameron
But I think it would be better if everyone was there-
Xavier Ross
Off course you need to bond with all the cast members.
Xavier Ross
But, Elvis is the main lead of the story.
Xavier Ross
His bond with you should be firm and understanding and much more than beyond.
Shouldn’t that kind of bond be shared with the male lead and the female lead ?
Christie Cameron
I guess that’s true .
Elvis Peterson
Why don’t you change into a more… comfortable attire for going out ?
Christie Cameron
Going out ? Why?
Elvis Peterson
For a writer-actor bonding, off course.
Christie Cameron
But- but right now ?
Elvis Peterson
Hmm? It’s very late or early for a bonding?
Elvis Peterson
Or as you put in the book….
Elvis Peterson
“It’s never early for a date night”
“It’s never early for a date night”
In the book ‘I’m yours’, the male lead says that to the female lead when she was waiting the whole night for him to come and have a date night. But due to a sudden attack at the base, the male lead is held back and goes to her in the morning, covered in blood and sweat. She cries for his safety and then for the date. He coaxes her to have dinner date in the morning saying…
“It’s never early for a date night”
Elvis seems to have done his homework.
It’s a very trivial dialogue in the book but for him to remember it, does something to me.
It fills my heart with joy.
And the way he delivered the dialogue, in the sinful and alluring manner.
The same way as I pictured the male lead to say.
It fills my mind with lust.
It will be one hell of a “date”.
