Chapter 2

Runyu had already returned to the Celestial Realm. Luo Lin and Heavenly Emperor were already waiting there. "Runyu pays respect to Heavenly Emperor and Water Immortal." Said Runyu. "Why did you ask to see us today?" asked the Heavenly Emperor. "Father, I want to cancel my engagement with the daughter of the Water Immortal." Runyu replied firmly.

"Do you know what you just said!" said the Heavenly Emperor furiously. "I understand and I am ready to take the risk." Runyu said firmly. "Even if you lose half your magical prowess and your position as a Night Immortal is revoked!" The Heavenly Emperor said angrily. "Yes, I am ready." Runyu said firmly. Luo Lin looked at Runyu with renewed eyes.

"Fine. Don't be sorry." Heavenly Emperor said. At that moment, the engagement was called off. Runyu's position as Night Immortal was revoked and Runyu lost half of his magical prowess. Yanyou came just then with news. "Introduce, he is Yanyou my other foster son." Su Li explained. Runyu nodded without saying anything further. "Fire Immortal has been outside for a few days. I even had trouble coming." Yanyou said looking at Runyu.

"I see what you mean. I will see him." Runyu said looking at Yanyou flatly. "Mother, I'll be right back. I still want you to stay with me there." Runyu added looking at Su Li. Runyu left from there. "Does he intend to take you somewhere else?" Yanyou asked confused. "He has a house in Human Realm mainland. He asked me to live there with him and Li er too." Su Li explained. Yanyou smiled hearing that. His adoptive mother was always happy when she talked about Runyu.

@the edge of Dong Ting Lake

Runyu looked at Xufeng who was waiting for him. Xufeng pulled Runyu's hand along with him. Runyu let go of Xufeng's hand as they were almost away from Dong Ting Lake.

"Xufeng, why did you come here?" Qingyuan asked coldly. "I will take you home." Xufeng said annoyed. "This is my home. In case you forgot, I've been banished from the Celestial Realm." Said Runyu with cold attitudes. "I will..." Xufeng was cut off. "I don't need your help. Then I hope you and Jinmi are always happy." Runyu said flatly.

"You know? Jinmi is the eldest daughter of the Water Immortal." Xufeng said probing Runyu's expression. But Runyu showed no emotion other than flat and cold. "I know." Runyu said calmly. "The culprit has been caught, he is Rat Immortal." Xufeng added. "Then?" Runyu asked lazily. "You know and you keep quiet. Your mother is in this lake isn't she?" Xufeng said angrily.

Runyu's expression turned wary. Xufeng was shocked to see him. "Does anyone know?" Runyu asked looking at Xufeng stabbing as if he was about to kill. "There isn't any." Xufeng said confusedly. "Lord Yu, is that your friend?" Asked a resident of Dong Ting Lake who came out. "He's lost." Runyu said smiling looking at the citizen. Xufeng paused as he saw Runyu's expression turning gentle. Runyu, who used to be gentle, was only shown to other people, not to himself.

"I go first." The resident said. Runyu just smiled before his focus returned to Xufeng. "Come back to your place. Don't bother me again." Runyu said flatly.

"You've changed a lot." Xufeng said looking at Runyu as if he didn't know him. "Xufeng, everyone changes. I have no intention of living in the shadows of you or your parents. I want to live alone with my own family. Our paths differ, we part ways here. You don't need to look for me anymore. Even if you come here every day. You will not find me here." Runyu said coldly. "I will return now but I will not give up. I will look for you." Xufeng said before leaving.

Runyu was walking back to Dong Ting Lake when Yanyou came out. "Are you sure you just let it be?" Yanyou asked. "Then what do you want me to do?" Runyu asked flatly. "The rumors about you seem different." Yanyou added. "I changed and everyone is the same." Runyu said staring far away. "I just want to live quietly with my mother and Li er. You are also in the category now." Runyu said calmly. Yanyou smiled.

After Runyu's magical prowess recovered, Su Li told Runyu to go first with Li er. Runyu complied and ever since they had lived in the Human Realm, every day Yanyou brought lots of books for Runyu to check. "Have mother never taken care of this?" Runyu asked Yanyou one day. Yanyou shook his head. Runyu was busy with his new business now.

Continuing to work made Runyu seem to forget the time and after finally his mountain of work was finished. Runyu rested in his large pool. The pond is crystal clear with a small waterfall near the pond. Runyu let his dragon tail out while resting. Yansou also slept there. Li er was already asleep in the house. Yanyou accompanies his mother Su Li at Dong Ting Lake.

"Excuse me." Someone's words made Runyu open his eyes and looked surprised by the guest in front of him.
