Episode 10

Early in the morning, Dara and Dimas were ready with their belongings neatly packed in the new backpacks that Dara had purchased. They didn't pack many clothes, just a few good garments and a picture of them with their mother.

Today, they were both preparing to head to the capital city. Dara had already booked train tickets for their journey. Therefore, they needed to first travel to the town to reach the station.

For the past couple of days, Dara had grown accustomed to wearing a mask to cover her face while traveling. This was due to an incident a few days back when she encountered villagers, which stirred up excitement in her village over her beauty, likened to that of a goddess.

Consequently, crowds flocked to her home, either to propose marriage or simply to catch a glimpse of her in person, driven by curiosity fueled by the circulating rumors.

Fortunately, Dara and Dimas had already planned to move to the capital city today.

"Big sis, what about Dimas's bike?" Dimas inquired, concerned about his new bike.

"A friend of mine will send it to our address there. You wait here, I'll take the bike over to him now," replied Dara, reassured by Dimas's nod.

Dimas waited by the main road, where they planned to catch a minibus to the town.

Then Dara rode her bike back into the village. As soon as she felt it was quiet and safe, Dara promptly secured it in her dimensional space.

Since taxis were rarely available in the area, they opted for the minibus to town. Fortunately, an unpleasant incident that had occurred a month earlier aboard the minibus wasn't repeated. Otherwise, Dara would not have hesitated to retaliate fiercely, potentially to the brink of the assailant's demise.

Upon arriving at the bus terminal, Dara and Dimas took another minibus to the train station. Their departure was an hour away, allowing them some time to relax. Once the announcement was made, they checked in.

Dara asked a security guard for the location of their seats, showing him their tickets. He kindly explained. Dara had deliberately chosen executive seating to ensure a comfortable 7.5-hour trip for both of them.

...

Capital city...

Upon arrival in the capital, Dara immediately switched on her cell phone and ordered a ride-share to the Diamond hotel. She had pre-booked a presidential suite for four nights.

"Wait here for a moment," said Dara to Dimas.

"Okay, sis," responded Dimas, awestruck by the grandeur of the five-star hotel, simply nodding in agreement.

"Good evening, ma'am, how may I assist you?" the polite receptionist greeted.

"Good evening, I've made an online room reservation," Dara responded.

"May I see your ID card, please?" the receptionist inquired further.

Dara provided her identification. The receptionist was taken aback upon realizing that Dara was the exclusive guest booked in the presidential suite. After all, such a room was exorbitantly priced at nearly 150 million per night – Dara must be an exceedingly wealthy woman, right?

A staff member was promptly summoned to escort Dara and Dimas to the presidential suite.

...

"Big sis, whose huge house is this?" Dimas asked once they were settled in the room.

"This is called a hotel, little brother. You need to learn from the internet about life in the capital city, how people socialize, and so forth. However, if you think something is not good or goes against what we and our parents believe in, then don’t do it. Do you understand?" Dara advised.

"I understand, sis. So, staying in a hotel is new to me; isn't it supposed to be expensive? Where did you get the money for this?" Dimas looked at his sister, full of questions.

"A friend of mine arranged everything, don't worry. We'll stay here just for a few days before we move to our own place," Dara reassured him.

"Our own place? Back to a small dwelling?" Dimas asked innocently.

"No, our home here. My friend said he wants to sell one of his properties to me, and I can afford it by deducting from my salary every month," Dara explained.

"Wow, your friend is so kind. I really want to meet him and say thank you," Dimas said enthusiastically.

"Well, we can do that together when he returns from abroad. Don't think about it too much for now; let's eat. Check out the menu," Dara said, handing over the hotel menu.

Dimas was amazed and occasionally furrowed his brows as he came across unfamiliar dishes. Besides Indonesian cuisine, the menu featured Western and Chinese food, which were entirely alien to Dimas.

The presidential suite featured three bedrooms. Before resting, Dara ordered room service to fill their stomachs. She explained each unfamiliar dish based on her internet research, although the taste would be a new experience for them soon.

Presidential suite service was top-notch. The food arrived within 15 minutes, and they relished their dinner eagerly.

...

Dara now sat cross-legged in her room for her usual cultivation practices. She had reached the peak of level one and was on the cusp of advancing to level two.

"Ugh, the Chi is so thin here in the capital, hardly half as abundant as it is back at the lodge," Dara murmured to herself.

While meditating, she was jolted by a cry for help that reached her sensitive ears. Dara, as a cultivator, possessed acute hearing, allowing her to discern sounds from up to 20 meters away, even whispers.

Although the hotel boasted soundproofing, this did not account for someone like Dara.

She honed in on the direction of the sound, certain that it was coming from the room directly below hers. Quickly grabbing her mask, tying her hair up, she headed towards the balcony.

"There's no other way," Dara muttered, realizing she was on the 20th floor.

Whoosh!

Dara leapt from the balcony, swinging down gracefully to land on the balcony one story below. Her landing was silent and perfect as she swiftly concealed herself, surveying the situation. She had to identify what was occurring before intervening.

"Don't come any closer! Someone, please help!" cried a frightened but beautiful woman cowering in the corner of the bed.

Yet, when compared to Dara's beauty, she was clearly inferior.

"Go on and scream until you're hoarse, darling! No one will hear you. Just be quiet and enjoy it. I assure you, you'll be begging for more," the burly man chuckled.

"Disgusting, I'd rather die than surrender my dignity to a scoundrel like you!" the woman spat and spoke defiantly.

"You *****! How dare you spit on me! Hold her down!" the burly man commanded the two men behind him.

Slap!

A sharp slap hit the woman's cheek, followed by a forceful grip on her face.

"Ungrateful brat, I kindly offered you the golden opportunity to be the lead actress in my movie. You should be thankful I chose you. Instead, you're too proud to take the easier route. Just so you know, I paid a hefty sum to your agency for the pleasure of your company. Just do your job well, my dear Felicia!" the burly man, Tony, said, licking his lips.

"No! Don't touch me! I'd rather die than indulge a scumbag like you, Tony!" Felicia defiantly retorted.

Tony reached out to undress the woman, who was now firmly held by the two henchmen on her sides.

Boom!

Suddenly, a powerful strike flew towards Tony's face, sending him flying a couple of meters before crashing onto the floor.
