Episode 5

Dara had already made herself comfortable on the guest sofa in the manager's office. Both Carmila and Dion welcomed her warmly, paying no mind to the inexpensive attire she wore.

Yes, Dara's clothing were the modest ones she had bought a few months ago with some extra money from her vegetable sales. She had purchased three items for 100,000 — one for herself and two for her younger sibling.

"Please, have a drink, miss," Dion offered politely.

"Thank you," Dara responded, immediately sipping the warm tea, quenching a thirst that had nagged at her, especially since she lacked the money to buy a drink.

"Miss, if I may inquire, where did you acquire that gold coin?" Carmila asked carefully, not wanting to offend Dara.

"I received it from my late mother," Dara explained, "She told me it was an heirloom from our ancestors. I didn't want to sell it at first, but we had urgent family needs and no other solutions, so I decided to sell some of our heirlooms."

"A few? Do you have many more coins like this?" Dion inquired, his eyes shining with interest.

"Yes, I possess at least a dozen, along with some other gemstones," replied Dara, sensing their keen interest. Satisfied with their respectful treatment toward her, she resolved to sell some of the items, including the gems.

"Did you say—a dozen? And gemstones? Have you brought them with you? May I see them?" Carmila asked, her hope apparent.

"I brought just a few with me, hold on," said Dara.

She dug into her capacious pockets and produced three gold coins, one the size of a quail egg, and a blue gemstone. Dion and Carmila were astounded that she carried such valuables so casually.

"Here are the coins like the one you're holding, the egg-shaped one, and the gem I've brought today. Please, take a look," Dara gestured toward her treasures.

"Mr. Dion, please bring the equipment to test the gold and diamond purity," Carmila commanded with a tremble, as she examined the blue stone in hope and anticipation.

Dion returned with the tools, and they proceeded to test the items in front of Dara, who remained composed, confident of their authenticity.

"My God, I can't believe my eyes. It's Genuine!!!" Carmila exclaimed.

"Ha-ha-ha, I've never had the chance to see and handle a Blue Diamond so closely!" Carmila laughed joyously, tears marking her happiness.

"Miss, I must be honest, I am very much interested in your Blue Diamond, but I currently lack the funds to purchase it," Carmila admitted, disappointed at the missed chance to own such a rare and priceless gem.

"May I know the price?" Dara inquired.

"For your gold coins and the gold egg, you have a total of 120 grams. At 1,008,000 per gram, the total is 120,960,000. Yet I'd say these gold coins are antiques from millennia past. Add 30 percent in an auction due to collectors' interest," Carmila informed her candidly.

"And the gemstone?" pressed Dara.

"To my astonishment, the gem you have is a Blue Diamond type. In country E's auction, a similar gem fetched a staggering 60 billion per carat. Yours, I reckon, is 17 carats, with its least value at a trillion twenty billion," Carmila explained, nearly breathless.

Dara contemplated the situation. An auction would take days, whereas she needed funds promptly. She decided to sell now; the price was secondary, considering the abundance of her dimensional space resources.

"In that case, would you consider buying all of my items?" Dara asked, outwardly calm but internally shocked by the figures. Even a million was beyond her past wealth, yet she continued to keep her composure.

"For the pure gold, we can offer 125 million, which is our top bid. As for the Blue Diamond, my funds fall short. I have only 500 billion on hand, far from its true value, so I dare not buy it," Carmila replied, regretfully honest.

"If you're willing, I have no issue selling the diamond to you for 500 billion, Mrs. Carmila. Consider it a friendship price," Dara stunned both Carmila and Dion.

"Did I hear you correctly, miss?" Carmila asked, fearing a misunderstanding.

"You can purchase my gem for just 500 billion," Dara reiterated.

"Are you serious??" Carmila and Dion asked in unison.

"Absolutely, as a token of our new friendship. Just know for next time, I may sell at market prices," Dara stated, level-headed.

"Ha-ha-ha, how exceedingly generous. We are grateful, Miss Addara, for this grand gesture to Red Jewelry. In the future, we aim to buy at market rates," Carmila replied with a delighted laugh.

"May I have your bank account for the payment?" Dion joined in the joy, foreseeing their substantial return on this venture.

"I apologize, I've yet to open any bank accounts. And please, just Dara will do," she said, unfamiliar with these financial proceedings.

"Understood, Dara, no concern," Carmila glanced at Dion, who nodded and moved to his desk, bringing back a laptop and a card.

Dion transferred 125 million to a gold metallic card, then passed a blank check to Carmila.

Carmila filled it out for 500 billion and signed it.

"Dara, here's a debit card with 125 million; the PIN is eight, repeated six times. This check's for 500 billion; you can cash it at the bank. But first, you need your own account, and I'd transfer this card's balance immediately to avoid any issues," Carmila instructed as she handed them over.

"Also, this is a VIP black card from Red Jewelry. It offers a 25% discount at our stores nationwide. And my card—contact me if you need assistance. It's been a pleasure working with you, Dara. I hope our friendship continues," Carmila added.

"Certainly, and thank you. I’ll look forward to future transactions with Red Jewelry," Dara said.

"We'll welcome you anytime," Carmila smiled warmly.
