A Promised Appointment

"Hm, originally I wanted to throw away that thing, but maybe I should really -" >> Just leave it, you will never find any friends << -the, by now, well-known evil voice interrupts. Startled, Yoru looks around in his room again but as always, he sees nothing, no person, no object. "What is that? Why is this voice coming again now. I thought it was because of the lack of sleep I had. Am I really starting to hear voices now? Am I going crazy or something?". But even though he was startled, this time Yoru manages to calm down a bit faster. "Maybe, it's just because I've been alone so much lately. Maybe it would really be better if I text this guy a message or something. What was his name again? Sato? Seta? Sen?". Yoru takes his cell phone, looks at the number on the paper piece and enters it on his phone. "Well, I think I'll just save this dude as 'S.' , I can't go wrong with that". Yoru looks at the contact on his phone. "Good, and what now? What am I supposed to text to him? I know basically nobody else, well except Megan". Yoru continues looking down on his phone. "I guess a simple 'Hi' will do the trick". And just like that, Yoru grabs his phone, clicks on the contact and starts the conversation with a simple 'Hi'. This was a huge step for Yoru because for more than three years, he never text to any other people than Megan sometimes. "So, now all I have to do is just wai-" At that moment, Yoru is instantly interrupted by a reply. "Phew, I didn't think I would get a response THAT fast". And now, this is how the conversation between those two begin.

[S.]: Hey, did you change your mind after all? I'm glad you did! :)

[Yoru]: Yeah, looks like it, I guess.

[S.]: That's really good, I was worried you wouldn't accept the offer!

[Yoru]: Yes, this turned out a bit different now.

[S.]: So, what are you doing right now?

[S.]: Well, not that I want to stalk you or anything like that!!!

[Yoru]: No, it's fine, I get what you mean. I'm just at home and not really doing anything special.

[S.]: Hmm.. Isn't doing anything getting really boring after a while?

"Oh no, you wise guy", Yoru mumbles to himself and continues texting.

[Yoru]: Well, actually I'm used to it. So it's not a big deal.

[S.]: Oh, I see...

[S.].: Well, I have an idea!

[S.]: How about meeting somewhere, so we both get to know each other and have a little chat or something!

"Get to know each other?", Yoru wonders with slight amazement. "Man, how am I supposed to respond to that?". He continues looking at his phone for a while, thinking of what to answer. "Well, actually it's not a bad idea, but I just simply to know how to act while being with other people". Yoru starts to write his answer.

[Yoru]: Yea sure, I have nothing against your idea, I guess.

[S.]: Cross out the "I guess"!

[S.]: Good, than it's a done deal!

[Yoru]: But wait, where do you want us to meet anyway?

[S.]: Eh, that's a pretty good question..

[S.]: I know! You probably know the playground near the duck-pond here in the town right? I mean this place isn't that big.

[Yoru]: Yes, I know it.

[S.]: Good, then we're just meeting there around 3:00pm!

[Yoru]: Uhm okay, but wait a minute. What are we supposed to do there?

[S.]: I don't know...

[S.]: We will surely think of something when we're there! I'm sure of that!

"Oh man, now I've agreed to some meeting where we don't even know what we're supposed to do yet". Yoru continues typing.

[Yoru]: Okay, if you say so.

[S.]: Good, then we'll see each other at 3:00pm!

[S.]: Well then, I'd say - see you later Yoru!

[Yoru]: See you later.

After that little chat, Yoru puts his phone aside and starts thinking about the meeting. "So, I'm really going to see another person again". He lies down in his bed and looks up at the ceiling like he usually does. "It's been a long time since I've met someone. I wonder if I'm going to do things right". He just gives a quick sigh before continuing thinking about the situation. "Wait a minute. How does this guy even know my name?". Confused, he looks around. "Is he maybe some kind of stalker or something like that after all? Nah, I don't think so. Maybe he just saw it in my contact settings what my name is and that's how he knew". For a while Yoru closes his eyes to think even more but as he does, he falls asleep, until he hears something. >> Do you really think, you need to meet random people? Why meeting people when you can be much stronger on your own. << Immediately Yoru tears open his eyes and looks around. "That was really creepy just now, but it was probably because I fell asleep and my brain thought about the voice for just a moment. I really do hope it's just because I was lying by myself doing nothing". Yoru looks at his phone to check what time it is. "WHAT, 2:46pm. already? Oh man, I really shouldn't have fallen asleep. Now I really need to hurry up!" Yoru quickly starts to put on his jacket and shoes and immediately makes his way to the meeting point at the playground where both of them want to meet. Upon arriving there, Yoru can already see Sero. He stands smiling at a small bench where he is already waiting for Yoru. "Ah, so you really came!", Sero say good-humoredly. "Yes, why shouldn't I come", Yoru asks in surprise. "Hm, I don't know. There are also people who don't show up for meetings and just leave one sitting alone, waiting for them", Sero explains thoughtfully.
