Chapter 9

The morning came quickly. Hyun looked at Yibo who kept clinging to him from his waking up. "Go take a shower. You stink." Hyun said shooing Yibo away. Yibo shook his head.

Haikuan shook his head then pulled Yibo's collar with him. At that time Xiao Zhan and Joongki who finished bathing came out. "What is it?" Ask Joongki. "My sweet brother didn't want to take a bath so the haikuan dragged him to take a bath. Let's go downstairs, the others are waiting for us downstairs." Obviously Hyun.

They all come down and eat. Some started discussing the mission. Hyun just stayed silent until Hyun stood up suddenly and then walked away. Xiao Zhan and Taehyung chased Hyun out.

"Okay, stop whining." Hyun said smiling. "Hyun, I need to talk to you." Matsumoto said coming. "We're going in." Xiao Zhan said pulling Taehyung away.

"Sit down." Hyun said sitting on a wooden bench. Matsumoto also sat beside Hyun. "There's actually something I want to tell you." Matsumoto said. "Speak." Hyun said calmly. "I think your fiancé is still alive." Obviously Matsumoto.

"Jae In is still alive? How is that possible? She clearly entered the building after I left and 10 minutes later the pharmaceutical company exploded. Prof. Park and Jae In are inside." "How was your research?" Hyun asked. "I need a sample of your blood." Matsumoto said remember. Hyun held out his hand. "You need to go to the lab." Matsumoto protest.

"I'll go later. I'm so tired." Hyun complained. Matsumoto smiled hearing that. The two of them started chatting about trivial things without them noticing. Haikuan and Joongki overheard their conversation from start to finish. Both seemed shocked by this new information.

The new mission starts right after hyun returns from the lab.

"We have to evacuate the remaining residents and bring them to basecamp." Obviously Yunho. "Yes sir." Answer everyone. Everyone started getting ready to leave.

They are new members of the team like me." Soohyun said introducing her new friend. "We heard you are Soohyun's teacher." Yugyeom said respectfully.

"Nice to meet you, Park Hyun. Beside me Yibo, Xiao Zhan, Wang Zhou Cheng." Obviously Hyun replied with another nod. "This place seems to be all beginners." Jinyoung said. "You could say that and I'll warn you before leaving. Don't be careless, the slightest carelessness will result in death. Those zombies are flesh eaters remember that." Hyun said in return for a nod of JB, Soohyun, Jinyoung and Yugyeom.

The truck started running. Everyone seemed to be silent saving their energy. When they stop. Everyone got off the bus. "Serpent reports to Red." Hyun said on the communication device. "Red accepts. You will lead your team." Obviously Yunho. "What about the other teams?" Hyun asked. "The new kid named JB is taking the lead." Obviously Yunho. Hyun nodded in understanding. "Accept. Serpent team is leaving." Hyun said. Zhou Cheng, Xiao Zhan, Yibo and Hyun walked to the left leading the way to search the area to find any surviving residents.

Along the way they killed zombies and found no living inhabitants. "Soohyun watch out." The screams heard on the communication device made the four of them silent and ran towards the right place, forgetting where JB had gone.

It took them a long time to find the others. What they were fighting were not zombies but humans. When Hyun arrived Soohyun was stabbed in the chest. JB, Yugyeom and Jinyoung are also full of wounds. Zhou Cheng and Xiao Zhan immediately treated their wounds, Yibo helped them both.

The sword was pulled from Soohyun. Soohyun fell slowly, Hyun caught Soohyun's body before falling to the ground. "Hold on." Hyun said. The man in the black mask was about to attack again. Hyun takes his gun, releases the guard and shoots him right in the temple. The masked man died on the spot. Hyun put away his gun after reattaching the guard.

JB, Jinyoung and Yugyeom were surprised to see how fast Hyun's movements were. Hyun laid Soohyun on the ground. "Xiao Zhan, hurry. Soohyun needs help." Hyun shouted. Xiao Zhan who finished treating JB immediately packed up his equipment and headed towards Hyun.

Hyun looks confused what to do. Xiao Zhan checked Soohyun's wound and fell silent. "Why are you silent? Hurry up and help him." Hyun protest. "I'm okay. Please check if Hee mi is okay?" Soohyun said pointing at the tree where there was a woman curled up there.

"Your life is more important. Don't talk nonsense." Said Hyun looked at Heemi briefly and returned to focus on Soohyun. Soohyun vomited blood. "Xiao Zhan!" Hyun said angrily. "The wound hit right in the heart. I can't do anything." Xiao Zhan said looking down.

"No, you study medicine. You know how to save him. Come on, let's just say I asked you to help me treat him." Said Hyun to Xiao Zhan. Soohyun looked at Hyun sadly while holding Hyun's hand. "Don't worry about me. At least I died honorably here. I saved people." Soohyun said smiling before his hand fell.

Just then Mark and his entourage arrived. The rain slowly wets the earth crying over Soohyun's departure. Hyun stands as if he lost his soul. Hyun walk to Hee Mi's place. "How did you get here?" Hyun said angrily.

"I just went for a walk. I..." Heemi's words were cut off. "A walk? You think we have time for that!" Hyun said furiously. "Of course you guys go for a walk. You invite useless soohyun!" Heemi said annoyed. "Bastard! You know he saved you! You still say he's useless? What kind of human are you? He saved you with his life you bitch!" Hyun said emotionally. Yibo immediately pulled Hyun away.

"Let go of me Wang Yibo! That woman must be taught a lesson!" Hyun shouted angrily. Yibo hugged Hyun tightly. JB walks over to Hee Mi. "You are a disappointment! For your selfish reasons you killed our friend!" JB says angrily before leaving. Everyone stares at Hee Mi like she is a virus and doesn't care. Mark was about to raise his nephew.

"Let me do it." JB said. "You're hurt." Mark said disapprovingly. "He saved my life." JB's words made Mark speechless. JB squatted down and Mark put Soohyun's body on JB's back. JB stood up and took Soohyun to the car.

Everyone followed him including Hee Mi. Yibo, Xiao Zhan and Hyun were left there. "Let me go." Hyun said. Yibo let go. "AAAAARRRRRRRGGGGGGHHH" Hyun's heartbreaking scream was heard. Xiao Zhan and Yibo looked at Hyun sadly. The tears of the three were covered with rain. Everyone is sad for Soohyun's departure.
