Chapter 3: Maverick
~𝙆𝙖𝙩𝙝𝙚𝙧𝙞𝙣𝙚'𝙨 𝙋𝙚𝙧𝙨𝙥𝙚𝙘𝙩𝙞𝙫𝙚~
I woke up as I heared someone calling me. The last thing which I remember, that I was in a mysterious place and a tall man and a robot was explaining about the system world, missions, it levels, rebirth and soul.
Oh.... goodness thinking of this is making my mind a mess.
I was busy thinking about those when suddenly I heard a male voice shouting.
Maverick
Can you hear me ?
I flinched and turned around to see the same man was standing in front of me.
Katherine
Why are shouting ?
I whispered softly as he calmed all his anger vanished.
Maverick
I was calling from, more than I minute but you were so much drowned into your dreamland, that you didn't even heard me.
He said sarcastically yet coldly.
I again whispered softly.
Maverick
So, what's your decision ?
He asked me, my decision. Is he asking about staying here and doing missions ?
Katherine
Are you asking me to stay here and do missions, so that you can play with me and make me your play thing ?
I asked him softly yet calmly.
He clenched his fist before replying.
Katherine
Give me some time
Maverick
.....Ok, I am giving you fifteen minutes, think and give me your answer.
He walked out of the room, while I hold me head.
Ha... what will I even do ? He seems so serious...... Is it for real or am..... I really dreaming ? but this feels so real. Oh my God, my head is spinning.
What have I even done to visit in here. I always thought that after death, a person visits either heaven or hell, depending on his/her deeds throughout his life.
Then why on earth have I done to come into this system world.
ha... I surely don't want to go back to earth anymore. That robot also said that if the reject doing missions, my soul will be vanished, then what's his problem.
Why do I always suffer ? God, please help me.
What should I do ? Should I stay here and do missions, or should I reject him and let him vanish my soul ?
When I was busy thinking someone and came whispered against my ears
Maverick
Your fifteen minutes are over, darling
I gasped and looked at my side...... so close.... he was so close.
I pushed him gently but, he didn't even move an inch.
I gulped down the lump of my throat.
Katherine
wha- what are you doing ?
He snaked his arms around my waist and pulled me while I bumped onto his hard and muscular chest.
I was sitting on the bed and his one knee was beside me on the bed while he took support while standing.
Maverick
Tell me your decision, darling. And I want to here a " yes " from you.
he whispered in his deep and demanding voice while fanning his hot breathe on my neck sending sparkles down, my sensitive body. I sucked on a breathe while my cheeks heated up.
Katherine
M-my answer is a- a
Maverick
yes, tell me your answer darling
he started moving closer to my face which increased my heartbeat rapidly. How did this cold-hearted man changed so quickly ?
Maverick
Don't make me wait, darling. Tell me your answer.
His was lips were, some inches away from. I closed my eyes and whispered in one breathe
Katherine
Yes- yes..... my answer is a yes
I could feel a cold sweat drop down my forehead to my cheek and the roll down on my neck. I gulped down in fear and opened my eyes slowly.
I found the man away from me, sitting on the couch, like a King.
Maverick
Good, now let me introduce myself. It's Maverick, the Creator or you can say the God of this system world.
My breathing slowly became stable to see him far away from me.
My eyes became teary, I was afraid of him, don't why. I was feeling so nervous around him. I felt myself helpless under his cold stared.
But the controlled my tears why closing my eyes.
I was always i talkative girl but as I found that I have lung cancer. I started to distance myself from everyone and became anti-social as I was not able to meet many people in the hospital.
The most important reason for distancing myself from everyone was because I knew that I would die sooner, so I didn't wanted to make any attachments with anyone
I starred talking lesser and after a few months I became a scaredy-cat, I was not afraid of dying, but a little fear started growing inside me for human beings.
Doctor Luke helped me to come out that fear but still deep down my heart I was still afraid, and it again came out in display because of this man, Maverick.
I didn't realize when tears started rolling down my eyes.
Slowly opening my eyes once again, I rubbed my tears of with the back of my hand.
