Everly immediately took a step back and dodged away from Shawn's hand with great disdain.

In her last life, she had been seduced by his honeyed words and taken his hand without a second thought, believing they would be together until their hair turned white.

Panic rose on Shawn's face. As he cursed Everly for being difficult to handle, he once again spoke honeyed words.

Everly swept her eyes lightly over Shawn. In Shawn Stanton's eyes, her indifferent expression was that of disdain and disgust.

Before Everly had finished speaking, the voice of an angry middle-aged man suddenly rang out behind her.

She turned around abruptly and saw a dark crowd of people standing in the doorway. Adrian Smith was there along with Liam's parents, Grandfather White, and Grandfather Smith.

Everyone looked at her with complicated expressions. The atmosphere felt like they were... catching a couple in an illicit act red handed!
