Not long after Everly hung up the call, Zhan Ying truly came to the school to pick her up.
The car arrived at the main building of the White Group.
Carrying her school bag and wearing her high school uniform, Everly walked through the first floor lobby and immediately drew all eyes toward her.

Everyone wore a shocked expression and Everly felt a bit rueful.
In her previous life, she had also visited Liam's company, but she had worn outrageous clothing each time.

He stared even harder at Everly doing his best to try and find some tiny clue. By the time the elevator reached the highest floor, he still had not found anything wrong.

The elevator dinged and the doors slid open. Everly raised her eyes and looked out.
It was just as she remembered.
The entire top floor was Liam's office. Other than Zhan Ying, this one assistant, there was no one else there.
He never provided himself with female assistants or secretaries not even elderly women.
Once, a photo was leaked of him taking off and throwing away the clothes that a female server had accidentally touched.

Everly nodded. She took in a deep breath before pushing open the doors.
In the giant space, the man wore a pure-black, custom-made suit, sitting quietly behind his desk.
His deep brows were slightly furrowed as he listened intently to his subordinate's report.
When Everly pushed open the door, his gaze immediately landed on her. He raised his hand in a stopping motion to the person beside him.
Senior Executives
"Yes, chairman."
A few executives replied immediately and glanced at each other before leaving.
When the door closed, only the two of them remained in the office. Everly nervously swallowed.

"No. I'm not busy."
The devil lied without expression. His deep eyes didn't move from her at all.
Everly was just searching for something to say when her stomach growled loudly.

An awkward and embarrassed expression rose on Everly's face.
Liam tilted his head slightly and swept his gaze over the coffee table to the side, then shifted his gaze to the computer in front of him.
It was only now that Everly realized that there was a four layered lunchbox on the coffee table.
A rich and delicious scent wafted from it.

Everly walked over and sat down. She struggled mentally for a moment, then looking at the intently working devil at his desk, she suddenly understood.
A feast for the eyes, people hadn't lied at all....
Her stomach growled and Everly hurriedly opened the lunch box.
While smelling the aroma, she thought that it must have been made personally by Aunt Ming of the Phoenix Lodge and specifically brought over for her.
The dishes were all ones that she liked, and her favorite South American shrimp was placed on the very top.
Most importantly, each shrimp had already been peeled.

It seemed so unreal, as if he was hallucinating, and it made him feel very uneasy.
Just as Everly shut her eyes, a jacket fell onto her. The man's low and pleasing sound rang out beside her.

Suddenly, Everly fluttered her eyes and looked at him, wanting to see how he would reply.

All of a sudden, the man's lips arched gently as a smile briefly appeared on his lips.
Even though it was only for a while, it was an unforgettable memory for her.
Everly stared blankly at Liam. The mood was just right. The man looked at her with gentleness and reached his arm out.
Just as he was about to touch her, his expression turned stern again, as if he had recalled something. He stood up abruptly from the sofa, turned around, and headed to his work desk.
The man's actions caused Everly to recall something unpleasant as well.

"Tell them to do it tomorrow."
A look of impatience flashed in Liam's eyes. Zhan Ying immediately cast a pleading glance to Everly.
