In a torture cell.

Screams could be heard from outside. It seemed as though someone was being horribly tormented. It was coming from a little cottage that was behind Jellal Mansion.

There were many trees in the region as well. It appeared to be a small wood.

[screaming]

Max was sitting in front of that man and was interrogating him. And two men were using a thorn whip blade to torture that person. A man gripped that person's hair and made him look high. He cried out in pain. That person was none other than Bruce. Jellal took Bruce with him. He had blood gushing out of his nose. He had wounds all over his body. They were cruelly torturing him.

The doctor treated his injured leg. Jellal always had a private physician who took care of the prey. When the prisoner reappeared, Jellal's men began torturing him, as they had done since Jellal came to power. Bruce was suddenly struck by Max with such force that blood spurted from his mouth.

Max was holding a pair of brass knuckles in his hand. Max held Bruce's hair and forced him to look at him. Bruce was in a terrible state. He cast a one-eyed glance at Max.

Bruce [ James right hand]

I don't know anything.

Bruce stated in a quiet voice. He was stuttering in his speech.

Max [Right hand of Jellal]

There is nothing we need from you.

Max [Right hand of Jellal]

We are only playing for enjoyment.

As Max had claimed, everyone burst out in maniacal laughter. Bruce replied after he saw them laughing and let out a loud sigh.

Bruce [ James right hand]

Then kill me.

After enduring such intense pain, Bruce was worn out. He wasn't even permitted to take a sip of water from those b**t*rds.

Max [Right hand of Jellal]

Don't worry, Jellal will kill you eventually.

Bruce groaned in agony as his eyes narrowed. In a painful tone, he said

Bruce [ James right hand]

Give me water.

Max grinned when he heard him. He was merely checking some instruments of torture. The doctor quickly approached Max and whispered in his ear.

Diana [Doctor]

Give him water, Max. You guys really beat him up.

Max turned to face the physician and gave her a full downward roll of the eyes. He then motioned for a man to give Bruce water. Max then turned to look at the physician.

The doctor was a female physician. Her name was Diana. When Diana was 12 years old, Jellal's father rescued her from a rap*st. Since Diana doesn't have any family, Jellal's father paid for her needs and raised her like one of his daughters.

The Jellal family covered all of Diana's expenses. She is now a respected physician. She was also Jellal's personal physician, which was a top-secret position. Furthermore, she was used to seeing this form of torture every night.

Her morning job was to save lives, but she also performed the same duty at night differently. Diana had a difficult upbringing. She was also suffering various forms of torture. However, she shuddered when she saw those kinds of torture. She made an effort not to help Jellal with this work. She cared for Jellal as if he were her own brother, but she was unable to help.
