She was about to touch Jellal, as she stated. But he stood back and said with a stern face.

Emily carefully withdrew her hand and turned around. Jellal always pushed her away when she attempted to approach him. She stuck with him despite his repeated insults to her. She was only a supermodel due to Jellal. He didn't help her, but the world knew Jellal had something with Emily. She therefore readily overcame the obstacles.

That's why Emily wanted to be with Jellal, and she didn't want to lose him.
