Episode 4

Yulexi recovers and asks her parents to take her to the palace. She longs to see her mate.

"Daughter, you're still not well. Let's wait a few more days," her mother plans to take her out of the hospital and bring her far away. But they're not fully prepared yet.

"I don't want to wait. I miss him. I want to see him."

"Don't behave like a child. You will wait, period," her mother leaves the room.

"Wait. Maybe she still thinks I'm a little girl who can't take care of myself." Yulexi escapes from the hospital and goes to the palace, wanting to see her mate. Upon arrival, she notices many people around, running here and there.

"What's all this?" she wonders to herself.

"Hello. I'm looking for Prince Victoriano," she speaks to the guard at the main door. He already knows her, having seen her three months ago while she was fighting with Evelyn.

"Go ahead," he kindly says.

Surely Victoriano has already told everyone that I am his mate, she thinks excitedly, and starts walking around the place. The palace is so big that she can't find Victoriano.

"Hello. Can you tell me the room of Prince Victoriano?" she asks a maid in the palace, who is a witch.

"The prince is not in his room."

"And where is he?"

"In the Chapel. Today is his coronation."

Of course, that's why there are so many people, Yulexi thinks.

"Doesn't he have to wait for his mate to carry out the coronation?"

"His mate is by the prince's side," the maid doesn't know that Yulexi is the second mate.

"What did you just say?" Yulexi is startled. "Where is that chapel?"

"It's behind the palace," the maid replies, scared. Yulexi leaves the palace and goes to the back. She sees the chapel and enters just as Victoriano is being crowned. Evelyn is by his side, with a smug smile and eyes full of happiness.

"What is this?" Yulexi interrupts the celebration.

"This is a coronation, my dear," Evelin says with a wide smile.

"Can you explain to me why she is there and not me?" Victoriano takes Yulexi's hand and leads her to a room in the chapel.

"I am supposed to be your mate, why is Evelyn with you?" Poor Yulexi is on the verge of tears.

"Do you know that I am half wolf and half vampire, right?"

"Yes, I know."

"I have two mates, one of them is you, and the other is Evelin." Upon hearing that, Yulexi wants to run away.

"But you are more important to me, I only want you."

"If that's the case, why didn't you wait for me? Why was she the one accompanying you to the coronation?"

"Because my father insisted. But I swear, I only love you. My love and my heart are only yours." His words sound so sincere that Yulexi feels she must believe in them.

"Really?"

"Yes, but the wolf council doesn't accept you."

"Why?" Yulexi wipes a tear.

"You have magic in your veins, the only way we can be together is if you give up your powers."

Yulexi has never used those powers, she is strong without them. Besides, she wants to be with her mate, she would give her life for him. That's how strong her love is.

"Would you be willing to give up your powers for me?"

"I will, I will renounce my powers if that means we can be together." Yulexi doesn't hesitate for a second to give him her answer.

Victoriano becomes very happy. He embraces her and smiles with malice. He achieved what he wanted, and it was very easy.

"I have to return to the coronation. Please wait for me here."

"Yes."

Victoriano leaves the room and finds Evelyn.

"How did everything go?" she asks.

"Well," is all he responds before leaving. He knows Yulexi has sharp hearing and can't risk her overhearing his plans.

A few minutes later, the coronation ends. Yulexi is taken to the wolf council.

The participants here are elders of around 5,300 years old, although they all look like people in their 30s and 40s.

"Are you sure this is what you want?" asks a very old vampire.

"I am sure."

Several minutes pass. One of the old men extracts the magic from his body. Yulexi becomes very weak. The door opens and her parents, upon seeing her, know what happened. They try to protect her, but it is impossible for them.

Wolves take Yulexi away, and she cannot do anything. Days later, she wakes up and only sees darkness around her. She tries to perform light magic, but it is impossible, as magic no longer flows through her veins.

"Why is it so dark? Where am I?"

After posing that question, she hears an angelic voice.

"Who's there?" she asks, and a light begins to shine. What she sees next leaves her stunned. It is a hideous woman with a fish tail.

"It can't be... you... I must be dreaming," she tries to wake up, but she can't because what is happening is not a dream. It is her sad reality.

"You're not dreaming, I'm real," the mermaid clarifies.

"Where am I?"

"The Bermuda Triangle."

"What am I doing here? How did I get here? This place is supposed to be just a legend."

"That's how we make it seem, but it actually exists."

"I have to get out of here."

"It's impossible, once you enter, you don't leave."

"How is that possible?"

"This place is cursed, only mermaids can come and go as we please, but not you, you were banished."

"That can't be possible. I am the prince's beloved, why would they do this to me?"

The mermaid takes pity on her and shows her what happened after she renounced her powers.

Evelin and Victoriano mocked how foolish Yulexi was. Her parents were expelled from the kingdom, and they would have to live among humans.

"Is that a lie? It can't be. He loves me, I am more important than Evelin," she refuses to accept her reality. "He loves me!" she screams while shedding tears.
