A mysterious figure: An Ally of ours?

It was a gloomy dark night in the Ghost City and why the Ghost City you wonder , because it has different sorts of creatures which are not human. Our female lead Iris Knights , 18 years old , who is a neko ( a human with cat ears and tail) , was wondering around in the streets looking for something while being completely unaware of a mysterious figure following her for quite a time now.

" This city has turned into a complete chaos... I ran out of supplies and I am pretty sure there was a store here. " She looks around with her torch in her right hand while she has a sharp knife in her left hand to defend herself.

" Ah ha! Here it is! Hopefully the supplies are good.... " She went inside the store carefully and checked out her surroundings confirming there were no signs of zombies. She then checked on the air tight food packets laying around on the shelves.

" Phew! They are still eatable great! " She happily took the packets and packed them into her side bag.

" That's it...let's go back now! " She talked to herself and turned out to see a mysterious figure staring at her outside the store glass doors. Due to absence of light she can only see their black shadow figure.

" Who are you?! " She asked and drawed her pistol with one hand and shot towards the figure almost hitting them. The figure falls down on the ground and she approaches the figure closely.

" Who are you?! Why are you here?! " She asked the figure while still aiming the gun at them while the figure just sits on the floor and looks up at her with complete silence and their face is still not clear enough to see.

" W-wait! S-stop! I-i am here not to hurt you! " The figure shutters and speaks to Iris with complete fear in their voice. It is a voice of a young man probably with same age as Iris.

" Hmm? Really? " she asks the figure while she points the torch at him with her other hand. " What?! " She looks at the figure and figure out that it's a boy and also a neko as same as her and smiled at the boy.

" You are a neko! Just like me and not a zombie! Haha " She felt very happy as if she hasn't seen anyone of her type in a long time and suddenly hugs the boy.

" Woah! W-what? " The boy blushed a little as Iris hugged him and was confused at the same time. " Y-Yes I am a neko and don't stab me! " In fear he pushes Iris away and backs up a little.

" Oh! I am sorry it's just that I have not seen a neko in a very long time so I got excited haha..." Iris looked at him and nervously chuckled and sit downs next to the figure. "It's ok! I will not hurt you.. I am sorry I almost shot you... " She apologized to him feeling a little sad.

" O-oh it's o-ok. I-Its just that I-i have nowhere to go s-so I followed you because you seem to be a nice person... " The boy blushed a little and waged his tail in excitement. " By the way my name is Adrien! N-nice to meet you! " Adrien extented his hand towards Iris and seem to have calmed down a little. He smiled cutely at her with fully trusting her.

Iris smiled back at Adrien and shakes his hand with hers. " Nice to meet you too Adrien! My name is Iris. " She felt completely safe and trusted Adrien. " W-well if you don't have anywhere to go would you like to survive with me in this outbreak? " She asked Adrien after they both stand up while blushing a little and stared at him curiously waiting for the response hoping he would agree.

"...Ok surely! I would love to survive with you! "

Adrien agrees to offer Iris gave to him and smiled at her cheerfully. Iris also smiled back at him happily.

So now that our female lead and Male lead are together , what things will happen next? How will they break out of this outbreak? Will they meet danger?
