New Home!
A mini van was passing through the green mountain, like a wind.. the vehicle was carrying new people, at least, it was sure they didn’t belong to where they were going.. but soon a certain someone in the van was going to make the new place which was at the far end of the mountain, as his home.. his new home to be precise
Everything felt new, the scenery, the green pastures stretched wide as far as the boy’s eyes could reach..
The boy was only 15 years old, seeing this new environment for the very first time..
His hazel eyes blinking at every little unique thing laying on the green pastures of the mountain.. his doe eyes scanning the giant trees, the fields of flowers on the sideways, the thickness of the groves, the blinding brightness of the nature.. his eyes fluttering and racing towards a group of butterflies carefree flying with the wind.. he leaned further more towards the window panels of the van, wanting to have a better look of these beautiful little creatures

Three greens, two reds and one yellow
The young boy whispered to himself as he tried to count those butterflies..
His world revolved around these little things.. he was never a socialistic person, rather chose to hide behind books or in between the nature..
The boy continued to let himself get lost on the scenery of the path he was on..
When a bright, colourful town came in his view after few minutes, the boy was left confused.. he held on to the window panels tightly and almost pressed his nose against the glass
The town looked spacious, hiding in the belly of the many mountains.. the house and buildings scattered and lined up against the road, in different shapes and colours..

More than rainbow colours..
The young boy called Jeon Jungkook once again spoke to no one but himself.. his eyes dilating with the texture of the town, wide and fluttery.. the town looked like it’s own garden of flowers, the young boy thinks to himself..
As the van passes deeper in the town, he could get a glimpse of the busy nature of the town.. some children playing in their open backyard, some elderlies cycling on their assigned paths, some folks sitting outside in the front yard of their houses and bathing in sun, some cars simply rushing every now and then with passengers probably trying to go about their daily chaotic lives, some restaurants alongside and you could see the smoke coming out of their chimneys from their kitchen, a huge movie theatre which looked crowded, a shopping centre looking like a festival, some youngsters hanging around here and there while sitting at the trunk of their car..
But as the van travelled further deeper, he reached to another section of town, rich and sophisticated, occupied with huge shiny houses.. the young boy gulped with a feeling of not being belonged to this side of the town.. but within few minutes, he passed those grand looking houses and reached to even busier part of the town.. it was more lowly then compared to everything, the young boy has seen so far.. it had apartments in buildings, standing tall in blocks with odd textures.. the space here was less then compared to other parts of the town he has witnessed so far..
But Jungkook’s eyes widened when he saw some black trucks passing by and everyone onboard the back of the vehicle held big guns in their hands.. they all had worn masks, hiding their half faces perfectly..
The young boy finally tore his eyes away from the town and turned to see a woman who was in her mid 20s, sitting beside him..
His noona looked at him with a smile..

Why are we here?
That question seems to have tensed his elder sister as she visibly gulped and chuckled nervously..
Sooyan
You’re going to stay here from now onward..
Sooyan
This is your new home..
She spoke with a nervous laugh.. her eyes not meeting his younger brother
Jungkook frowned and fidgeted with the hem of his shirt.. a pout making its way on his lip

You won’t be staying with me?
Another question that seems to tense sooyan
She closed her eyes and took a long pause.. it seems she was trying to find better words for his younger brother

Noona can’t stay here

I have my work in busan.. I will be there

I chose this place for you because it is affordable
The young boy was confused by now..

But.. I do go to a school in busan

I thought we were going for a trip all this while
Sooyan sighed and held her younger brother’s hands and looked straight in his eyes

No dear.. we aren’t going for a trip.. I am dropping you off to your new home..

I have already rented a place for you.. I have paid the rent for six months so you won’t have to worry about it until then.. you are already enrolled to the main university here

Also, I have found a job for you as a waiter in a nearby restaurant to your new house
That was a lot of information to process in just a matter of minute..
Jungkook could feel his noona was hiding something from him.. but he didn’t want to pester her with more questions.. she has done a lot for him in the past few years.. but the question of whether he was a burden on his noona, did invade his mind
Jeon Jungkook was born and brought up in a middle averaged family in busan.. he had the most loving parents in the world for him.. and an elder sister who was bold and unique in her own ways, in a good manner
Since childhood, jungkook was a reserved boy.. he liked to spend his time after school with his parents… helping his eomma in the kitchen, playing board games with his appa and the three really looked like a group of goofy friends.. his elder sister, however, was different and liked to spend her time with her huge group of friends and most of the time they rarely saw her at home.. there was a huge gap between the siblings, about 8 years..
But life took a drastic turn when one night his parents died in a hit an run accident.. he was there with them, sitting in the backseat of their car, and the only one to survive that horrific night..
His parents always worried about him being so closeted and quiet around the children his age.. you could barely here a scream or tantrum from his mouth.. so the parents always decided to take him out on weekends..
It was a beautiful Saturday night, a 12 year jungkook sat in the back seat while his parents in the front row of the car.. they had gone to watch a movie, and then a hefty dinner in a local restaurant.. it was time well spent.. while returning to home, they listened to music and laughed all the through the journey.. until, that laughter was wiped away in a matter of a second.. another car colliding with their car harshly.. the impact was so deep and huge that Jungkook’s car toppled, rolled on the road like a wild deadly ride.. when the car stopped, all jungkook saw was his unconscious parents, while he lost a lot of blood.. he survived and his parents didn’t
The life of jeon siblings changed ever since.. Sooyan who was working as a waiter in a restaurant was given the custody to take care of her younger brother.. she was of legal age and was earning, the matter was settled
But that was the biggest burden in Sooyan’s life.. her life changed completely.. she needed to manage the house bills, necessities, his brother’s school fees and needs and on top of it take care of her own needs
It wasn’t enough.. Sooyan needed to do something more.. life looked like peanuts and they barely had a full meal in a day.. she hated the fact she had to take care of someone else and kill her dreams
So she thought big.. and did big.. became a waitress in a exotic club where only rich people walked in.. she had a great plan to make one of the rich man to fall in love with her and take care of her loaded baggage of life.. call her a gold digger or whatever, for her that was the only way to make quick and easy money.. she aimed for turning her life from drains to riches
And she got lucky too.. found a wealthy man to love her and accept her as his wife
But the wealthy boyfriend had one problem.. he was ready to take care of Sooyan but not her brother.. jungkook wasn’t the man’s responsibility and he wasn’t going to waste his money around the young boy.. so Sooyan had to choose..
Choose between her dreams and her brother., she chose her easy wealthy life instead of her brother.. her boyfriend only provided her money for six months to help jungkook survive in a new town called euphoria.. there was no reason to why they chose euphoria.. they just randomly picked the town as it was far away and affordable for survival.. the wealthy man made some calls and enrolled jungkook in a university and even found him a local job to help him survive on his own.. they ignored the fact he was just a 15 years old boy..
Sooyan doesn’t even plan to see her brother again.. she won’t even live in South Korea in matter of week.. the couple has decided to shift to Australia..
After the car accident.. Jungkook’s already reserved life turned further lonely.. the boy was scared to even make eye contact with intimidating people.. he liked hiding in the rooms of his old house which held the memories of his parents.. he just became more quieter, shier, and closeted.. it’s not like the young boy could burden anyone, let alone his own sister.. he barely even voiced his wishes or things he needed.. just used whatever was given to him, ate whatever was made for him even if it was less.. the boy never complained with his life.. just simply lived it
This brings us to now where jungkook is travelling to his new home
Jungkook only nodded at his sister.. just like old times, he didn’t want to voice his emotions.. that he doesn’t want to shift to a new place, that he doesn’t want to stay alone in a town which is a stranger to him.. that he is scared in this new place, and that he doesn’t want to be alone.. just like old times, he only nodded for everything his sister gave him or did for him.. it’s not like he had someone to miss in busan., he didn’t have any friends to cry over while being in the new place.. but still, he had his sister, she was his own sister, and her presence was enough for him..

She ruffled his hair., he gave a tight lip smile and nodded once again

Okay.. listen.. so the first year fees for your new school is paid.. but from second year, you will have to pay from your earnings.. maybe you can try for scholarships and save the burden of paying money to school.. study harder, eh?
Sooyan although was nervous sending her only brother in a random place about which they have no idea.. they weren’t even aware that there is a place called “euphoria” in South Korea near the borders between the country and North Korea, until now
But for once she was going to be selfish for her dreams and happiness while pray for a good life for her brother..
The brother was oblivious about the fact that he was going to never see his noona after this ride to his new home..

Jungkook felt a pang in his heart as he realised the words he spoke felt like a forever goodbye to his sister.. he didn’t like that thought but ensured to not talk about it

There was a little glint of hope in his eyes as he stared at his noona

Ofcorse.. I will miss you so much.. will try to come here often to meet you
Jungkook’s smile broadened like a bunny.. a chuckle leaving his lips with happiness

The van suddenly stopped and Jungkook flinched slightly.
Sooyan
Welcome to your new home
Sooyan pointed towards a three storey building just behind Jungkook’s window.. the young boy turned his face to look at his new home.. the building was white and adjusted near the narrow pathway
The young boy had no thoughts in his mind as he stared at the slim building.. everything looked like strangers to him, he wasn’t expecting anything

Let’s go.. I’ll help you with your luggage
Jungkook mindlessly nodded and continued to stare at the building..
They got down and grabbed Jungkook’s luggage from the van’s back trunk.. they made their way towards the building
There was no lift, so they had to walk all the way up to the second floor.. they soon reached at the right end of the second floor corridor and stood before a small white door
Sooyan opened the door and let jungkook walk in first..
The boy was expressionless while watching his new house.. he was honestly still processing everything that is happening with him right now..
The house was small and a one room space.. the kitchen and bathroom was attached right beside the door when he entered.. there was a small living room beside the kitchen and a narrow staircase.. he looked up to see where the stairs led too.. probably his bedroom..

It’s awesome right?
That’s all he could say..
Sooyan ignored everything and placed all of Jungkook’s belonging in the living room.. and then turned to look at her brother who was still scanning the room..
Sooyan
Alright.. I have to leave now.. the same van will take me home
Jungkook’s head snapped at those statements.. his eyes wide and shocked.. he had expected that his sister will stay with him at least for few days in this new place.. guess, he was wrong and yet he stayed quiet..

Okay.. thank you noona
He tried to smile genuinely but he couldn’t
Sooyan’s voice turned softer as she pulled her brother in for a hug.,, when they pulled apart, she cupped her cheeks and spoke

Be a good boy okay..
Sooyan
Be happy and take care of yourself
She spoke gently.. the boy nodded
Jungkook Past
Why does it sound like a forever good bye?
He finally spoke something that was on his mind
He watched her sister chuckle and mess his hair
Sooyan
Stop being a weirdo..
Sooyan
Take care of yourself.. ha?
She smiled and gave one last hug before leaving the place
In the moment, Jungkook knew this was a forever goodbye as he stared at the door from where his sister faded away..in this moment, he knew that he lost another one of his family member.. he realised he is left all alone in this big world
