I quickly wipe my tears of my cheek and asked "who is at the door"

Then I heard dad's voice "It's my sweetie please open the door for me". I went and opened the door he was standing there with the gift pack he gave it to me and said "here I want you to have this. You'll be meeting my friend's son on a blind date tomorrow by 5. You will be there to have dinner with him to discuss and understand each other and make sure you give a good impression of yourself.

"But Dad I don't want to go on a blind date I'm already in  love with someone else" I said trying to reason with him but it's all failed.

He said "I know sweetie but this is for your own good so please do this for me. I am your father,I'm begging you to go  and just don't think that I'm trying to force you into doing something you don't want because I know that marriage is something to value and not something to take lightly so please just attend the blind date please give a good impression of yourself I know you can do it and I love you thank you so muchfor going.

Then he turn his back and went back to his room I stood there till I heard his door shut I closed my door went back to my room still thinking why my dad wanted me to go on a blind date with his friend's son while I was still on why I was still thinking about it I heard my phone ringing I turned around and saw the phone on my bed I took it and saw that it was a text message from Aisha telling me to make sure I am not late because we going on Monday  I just replied "okay". I went downstairs to the kitchen where I met the disgusting stepmother. She was looking at me smiling she said "what did your Dad tell you about your blind date because I was the one who gave him the idea and I know you don't want to because I know you already have a boyfriend".

I smiled back and said "I don't know you were the one else I would have ordered a cake for you to celebrate this wonderful thing because I love it. you know I have already broken up with my boyfriend" I lied just to make her angry.

"He left you because you know that you are a ***** but don't worry you are a slut so you will find a sugar daddy maybe even have it,I wish you good luck with your blind date." She said mockingly. I smiled looking at her "Yes thank you great thank you so much because you are the one who taught me to be a whore  you know and it's your teachings and your morals thank you so much for teaching me to be that". I smiled, went to the fridge took out a bowl of fruit salad I made earlier some orange juice and the Donut  I saw on the kitchen counterh "Hey Valerie bring back these doughnuts I ordered it even though I'm not going to eat it I do not want to see you having it" I smiled and said "thank God said you weren't going to eat it so then I'm going to eat it bye and goodnight."

I left the kitchen to go to my room I climb the stairs when it's my room shut the door and locked it with the key because I know that woman will surely come to my room just as expected I heard her banging the door.

"Valerie open this door and give me my doughnuts, are you stupid? I am your father's wife and I am just like your mother but you do not respect me in this house since you came back you you have just been telling me mean words and insulting me a ***** or a slut. Valerie please open this door and give me my donuts back. I ordered it because I wanted to give my friend who is in the hospital but now you've eaten it. It's not like I don't want to give you but this is her favourite and it's the last one they have tonight and I want to go to the hospital." I kept quiet and kept eating the Donald enjoying myself after I finished it I drank my orange juice and went I want to finish my fruit salad. I stood up and went to the door end opened it holding empty dishes and said "but you said I can have it and that's why I took it but don't worry I can prepare the same ones since do you need it so badly for your friend and she's in the hospital. actually I heard you telling the meat that you are not hungry so I thought you aren't going to need it so I take it and I was wearing my earphones so I didn't here you it was until I finished it that I heard you so I just kept quiet because I didn't know what to tell you because I cannot face you because its just not proper for me today I'm so sorry" I said and that's just because Dad is in the next room and he might hear so I was just trying to save myself from dads rage because of what she said so that he does not take it the other way.

She smiled and said "no problem you took it from the fridge no problem and I'm so sorry for insulting you earlier..." 

"oh don't apologize mother I'm the one that supposed to be apologizing to you because I took it without your consent but just like I said I'm going to make you another one. I cut her off.

"No no no no baby, you don't have to do that. I will just go and order some flavours and just have her to take them since my lovely daughter has eaten the ones I bought for her." She said.

"Thank you so much mother you are the best I smiled and moved to the kitchen to keep the dishes there for the maid to do the dishes I went to the sitting room took the remote control switch on the dstv and the television. Then I change the news channel to a music channel where they were playing 'goodnight n go' by Ariana Grande I smiled because Ariana is my favorite pop singer after that they played 'Attention' by Omah lay ft Justin Bieber and I was so happy because I love Justin Bieber songs and Omah lay is my favourite afro Artiste so I just had to listen to it. After listening to some music I switch off the television and went to my room sleep because it was a little bit late and I wanted to sleep so badly even though I slept in the afternoon.
