Chapter 3
He lifted his eyelids just enough to glance at his patient. His lips curved in a polite smile as he puts down the pen.
To his surprise, the girl seemed dazed, her mind was wandering somewhere else though she looked straight at him.
His eyes observed her little face, pale olive skin with a crimson red blush covering her cheeks. Her doe eyes wide open, lips slightly parted in daze.
Her straight brunette hair fell free on her shoulders, feathering her collarbones with every rustle of it..

.....Miss Martin?
His eyebrows met in a slight frown, as he made his way towards her.... He stood in front of her, maintaining a decent distance between them.

Are you feeling alright?
She looked taken aback for a moment before she pulled herself together, clearing her throat... she smiled politely.
Hayley Martin
Yes.. Sorry.. I was- I was actually very intrigued by the painting....
She eyed towards the small painting hanging on the wall just beside where he was standing earlier, saving herself from embarrassment.
He looked at the painting giving a agreeing nod at her before clearing his throat, and turning his attention back to her.

Anyways... umm I was here to see Dr. Smith.

Can you call him? Are you Dr. Smith's assistant? or... student?
Andrew Smith
I'm his son, to be precise, and uhh.... Dad passed away a few years ago.
his lips straightened into a thin line, a split second of sadness in his eyes which vanished as soon as it came.
Hayley Martin
Ohh. I- I'm sorry.... I didn't know.
Andrew Smith
Now that you're here already... Shall we begin with our session?
He said turning around and walking back to his chair... he sat down and gestured her to the comfortable chair opposite to him.

Are you a doctor too?
Andrew Smith
Why else would I be here, Miss Martin?
She let out a little awkward chuckle before walking towards the chair, and making herself comfortable.
He poured themselves a hot cup of tea, offering one to her... After taking a sip, her limbs relaxed with the warm sensation.

Are you comfortable?
Hayley Martin
Yes thank you.
She nodded thankfully.
Putting the cup down on the glass table, she took a deep breath before proceeding to explain her issue.

I've been having.... RECURRING DREAMS.

About someone whom I never met.... but... he feels too real like... like I've met him somewhere...

I see myself... a total different version of myself. Every night and its s-scaring me now...
She played with her fingers as she said the last line... Explaining this weird problem made her feel so embarrassed and childish.
If somebody ever heard it that she's getting scared of her dream, she'd become a laughing stock but only she knew how much it was affecting her.
Sometimes she couldn't even differentiate between her dream and the reality....
His eyes darted down to her hands, her nervous and scared body gesture of playing with her fingers was enough to tell.

I see. How long have you been seeing this dream? and how it started...?

It.... started a two weeks ago. On my 24th birthday.......

Unfortunately Hayley was not feeling quite well on her birthday so she couldn't do any big party n all... She stayed at home.

Selena walked inside with a beautifully decorated chocolate cake with 24 candles lit on top of it.
She jumped and sat straight on the bed as Selena walked inside.... The small gesture of her made her eyes moist.

I know I know, now blow out these candles and the cut the cake...!!
She racked through her purse and pulled out a princess tiara from her bag and placed it on Hayley's head.

Now... You're looking like a birthday girl. *winked*

Aren't I?! *laughs*
After blowing out the candles and eating the cake.... They both enjoyed the ordered food with a banger music playing in the background.
Later the following night.....
Hayley was sleeping soundly after taking her pills for the fever.
The first time, she ever saw his eyes, those pair of deep blue eyes staring into her soul. His gentle voice sent butterflies in her stomach....
She could feel his feather like touches, his gentle voice ringing in her ears, his eyes staring into hers, his breaths hitting her parted lips.
The flashes of those people came as fast as they vanished. She found herself falling inside the abyss deeper since then until she'd completely lose herself.
She touched her face to ensure she's real and not a dream. Her heartbeat thumped against her chest, threatening to come out any moment.
