Why does the night seem so long ? He looked at her , covered in blood . And blood splatter all around the light blue floor , making it looks like a paint spill . He felt pathetic and nauseated . And the Camera shifted , towards a hideous man .

The music ringed . Continued , the screen displayed . And He finally eased his breathe .

Harness , ran to the bathroom . He never felt pleasure in looking at blood . But his father forced him to see , ugly movies .

To show him what a ‘ man ‘ can do ?

What was the purpose of it ? He never understood . All he appreciated was , flowers and old -school romance . Of course , He loved movies , but not murderous ones . Where people did wicked deed , and then labeled as ‘ Karma ‘ .

“ Harness ? Where are you ? Bring me water !!!” His dad shouted , from the living room

While harness washed his mouth . He ran at his fathers words . Opened the fridge , only to find beers and alcoholic beverages, that made his stomach sick . He took a glass of water and filled it with tap water .

His dad should have thrown the water at him . He thought that too . But none happened . However , his dad gulped it down the throat . As soon as the movie started , he lied to him about the ‘ too much homework ‘ to avoid the murder km the movie and went to his room to study . He can’t see blood . He shivered at the sight of blood. He crinkled his nose , at the memory of blood .

When he entered in his room , he pulled out the pencil in his hand and kept between his teeth , the room was silent ; as silent as shadows , he was sitting on his wooden chair , with open books . He was anxious, shivering . The books did him no good , his heart thumped loudly as a hammer jagged upon his chest .

“ harness ? “ his dad yelled .

“ HAAAARRRNEESSSS ?” His dad screamed .

He didn’t go out , because he was shivering . his feet won’t bulge . His face turned sweaty . His thin skin , showed his bones . His dad wants to hurt him and he was not okay . He hated it . Suddenly ,

His door banged , this time louder with each passing second . He didn’t want to watch movie . He don’t want go out . He don’t like blood . He can’t see throats being slashed open , and as if that lady was going to throw her eyes out . He felt disgusted . He felt nauseous. The volume turned up of TV . It was my the Same movie . The volume turned more loud . While the knocks didn’t left the door . It was all louder and louder ,

All he he could hear is gibberish and whispers .

“ jsidjfhruiekekekkejdhdhebenendkmsns hshejejekejejekeke bshdhejejene HAHAHAHHAHAHAHA.... jskeoeoeieiejjdjdjdjdjjekeke !!!!!!!!”

Instead of opening, harness cursed the people , who made the movie . Stupid people. Covering his ears .

After 3 months .

He shifted to a new school . it was his seventh school , After his fathers death .

He feels responsible, for it .

If he had .... if he had ... opened .... opened ... the door ... that .. that day .... he ... he ...

“ Harness ?” Mr. yazuka , called him .

And he looked at him .

“ introduce yourself .” Mr . Yazuka, patted his back gently , and he could feel the bones of the thin boy .

“ I am .... Harness .” He said , staring at the ground , though the class , only had 16 students and now 17 . None of them even bothered , to look at the thin boy .

He seated far end of the class , which had a window . While the teachers taught and went . Harness , didn’t left the sight of his mother , on the ground floor . She stared back . You are dead . He mouthed at his mother . Although, she didn’t even flinched .

It felt like , he saw her everyday .

“ harness ?” Mr. yazuka called him out . He looked at him for a while , thinking that he would be told to Change the school again , the detective won’t leave him alone . However he still went outside . His long black hair covered one eye.

“ how are you ?” The teacher asked .

Harness nodded several times , his skin seemed even more brown , while he panicked . He softly clenched on the hem of his shirt .

“ When was the last time you had a meal ?” Mr. yazuka asked staring at his face which could any time touch the ground from faintness.

“ la-last ... last day .” He answered .

“ I said a proper meal .” Mr. yazuka pitied the boy . harness didn’t replied .

He took the boy to the cafeteria . And bought him plenty food .

Harness, finished it . He then realized he didn’t eat fully , after his fathers death , and his aunt was too poor to feed him a proper meal . She usually stays out of town . While harness lives alone with a stray cat . Who visits him , sometimes for the food .

“ go back to the class !” Mr. yazuka told the boy .

As soon as he entered . His mother seated on his seat . And he sighed . He don’t like his mother . But he knows her presence makes his somewhat wanted . At least she wants to see him .

He sits beside her. While a student approaches him . “ my name is Tes , i am the class incharge. Tomorrow bring the notebook of history completed .” He hands him his notebook and returns back . While harness , find it amusing . As soon as he smiled his mother lunges , upon him , bruising his face .

He comes back to his normal self. Fiverish , cold and shivering .

After he went home , he saw a note on the table . With cold noodles . Eat .

He didn’t had an appetite.

And opened the door of his window to let - Michi , inside .

“ how are you ?” Harness’s voice shivered , because he doesn’t speak much . It was like , his tongue forgot the words .

Michi meowed . And he fed her the noodles . After sometime Michi left . And harness went t to the table of his room . Now he doesn’t close the door .

He leaves it open . He checked under his worn out bed , to find a hidden romance novel. Who’s front page he tore , so that his aunt wouldn’t catch him . His smile returned , but something was odd . His smile , he forgot to smile . All he does was flash his teeth , as in a dentist shop . It was emotionless . Yet he didn’t realize it , when he looked at the broken mirror in his room .

He opened to page 17 .

I smiled at her . While she blushed .

“ did you saw the sunset ?” . I asked .

“ no , I was busy, looking at you .” She blushed again . This times actually looking at the sunset , while my eyes felt hard to look away from her .

The sky was beautiful . She was beautiful . I felt marvelous. Life seemed easy with her .

I kissed her , even though she smiled and shook her head no . I know she felt beautiful . We both know what I do to her , and she loved that I make her feel special.

“ James ? What if we get married ?” Her eyes were hopeful .

Of course I want to marry her . I gently kissed her forehead . “ I would ... wait ?are you askin me out ?” She shyly bumped my shoulder . And laughed . Her smile ringed. in my ear . I fell in love with her once again .

He closed the book . Envying James .

He has Rorry . The most beautiful girl that harness knew . Her eyes , her smile . He loved her .

He wants to go to her school . Her home .

Her room . He wants to do everything that James did .

How he make her blush , how he takes care of her , how he tells her how wonderful she is , even after she is being modest .

And then , suddenly heard the door open , ‘aunt !’ He thought and laid in his bed .

Pretending to sleep .

She was exceptionally early today .

“ Harness ?” She called him, after a while , when she entered his room . Even though she thinks she heard something, she wasn’t sure if he was awake . So she was there to check it .

“ harness ?” . He didn’t replied and she kissed his hair , leaving the door opened .

After a while , he peeked and saw that the room was empty .

And he fell asleep after a while . Knowing that he shouldn’t read anymore .
