After she entered her home , while harness was seen peeking in one of the dirty windows . Though it was covered with curtain , a slight insides of the warm home can be seen . Light Basel walls shimmered in light . A home with food and warmth , harness thought , as his stomach grumbled.

He saw rorry and his face clung to the window , as his hands pressed on the glass window . His eyes bulgy , and from afar , he looked like a ghost .

His eyes traveled from rorry’s shirt and then to the table where she was seated , the smoke coming from the hot food , made his mouth watered . To his surprise , rorry , didn’t ate anything and kept the hot bowl in the kitchen while covering it .

Her hair were thick and looked brown under the light . She yawned and went to her room .

While harness , sneaked in through the large door. His footsteps were calm and his feet were nimble . Looking at food , he couldn’t resist and thanked rorry for saving him . Even though he could not say to her face . He ate the meal like a good boy . Slurping at eating , he enjoyed the warm food . It has been months , that he had a meal such good . On his last bite , he saw someone enter the hall . He tried rushing but could not leave the meal unfinished .

His dead mother taught him good - Never leave a meal unfinished .

“ you bastard !!” He saw rorry , lunge him with a guitar . His sight went blurry .

“ so— sorry . Sorry .” He ran outside from the window , when rorry’s mother screamed at the blood on the floor.

His head hurts , he was covered with dry blood.

He saw , mr. Kento , sitting outside his door. He tried to run away . When another man , locked him in his arms and pushed him infront of Mr.kento.

“ hello , harness !” He smiled , though the smile hid secrets and true identity , it was assuring .

“ what do you want ?” Harness’s voice was mixed with blood and pain .

He didn’t looked at his shirt , which was Also covered in blood .

And when mr. kento eyed his shirt in light.

He wasn’t sure what the boy might be doing .

“ what is that on your shirt ?” He asked , staring at the blood covered creep .

Harness’s eyes rolled away from the shirt . He knew it was blood . But he didn’t wanna look at his own self .

And the old mans grip tightened around his shoulder easily making the boy kneel .

Harness groaned in pain .

Mr. Kento ignored it .

“ so , I told you .... I would come for you .... to talk about your fathers death .... tell me the truth boy ...... let me put you in jail .”

Mr. Kento’s smirk , made the thin boy more angry . But he knew better of it and kept his mouth shut.

If I just went through it , he will leave me . He thought , not realizing what more chaos could happen .

“ hmm .” Mr . Kento seemed to get in a deep thought and asked the old man , to walk in the house .

Michi stood there , watching harness being dragged into his own house with his greasy , blood dried hair pulled from the scalp . By two men .

He was pushed towards the old cracked wooden table . Hurting his ribs . Although he was taller than those old man , but his long height could not save him .

“ I need to end this case ......because I can’t get promotion , it’s all because of you .” Mr. kento kicked the thin boy in his ribs , making him squeal a little and held him by the collar .

“ tell me you killed him ... how can you dad explode , you creep of a son ! He shouldn’t have let you be born in the first place .... “ mr. kento stared at him earnestly for fear and anger to be catch . But he caught none , instead harness went numb the words of Mr. kento went inside his body and made him shiver in his heart and bones , though his head was bleeding , he didn’t seem to look at himself or maybe did not care .

Looking at mr. kento’s face made him laugh , even louder . The laugh was eerie and full of disgust ,

‘ Guess what I wanted the same too ! ‘ Harness thought . Though he can’t speak loudly , because he is hurt , he can’t form words , in panic .

Panic and numbness were the only ones on his side . Pushing needles into his thin bruised skin .

The other old geezer , grabbed the boys hair from where he bled earlier . And pushed him towards the legs of the chair . And kicked him .

It finally came to and end at midnight . midnight, and finally the old men left the boy

“ I’ll come again !” Mr. kento warned The boy . . His eyes were swollen , his lips were torn . His cheeks were bruised . His whole body hurts .

When both of them left , Michi made it through . With Sunday and Wednesday .

“ I don’t have food , go back !” He told them hiding behind his hurt body.

Don’t want his only little family to see him in Bruises .

He didn’t looked at Michi while crying .

He didn’t cried for his poor fate , he cried because it hurts .

I gave my price for the food . He thought closing his eyes .

What price do I need to give tomorrow ?He sighed and his body hurts .

He tried getting back up , but ended up falling again . He finally managed to stand up . And his feet stumbled and dragged his feet , which was kicked at the knee several times by the old man .

Stupid people . He stood in front of the mirror and gasped , he couldn’t even recognize himself . He quickly stopped his groan and fall on the bed behind him .

He finally looked at his own blood and suddenly his whole body started trembling.

I don’t wanna live . He thought . And stared at the fan .

He blinked several times , before closing his eyes .

Next day he woke up at 11 in the morning . He missed his school . That means I wouldn’t get lunch . He sighed . And as soon as he tried to get up , he yelled in agony .

His body went sore from injuries .

He slowly moved towards the bathroom , without looking at his face with blood .

He washed himself and took a bath . Making sure to close his eyes at sight of blood .

He couldn’t touch his head . As it was throbbing with pain . His hair were gelled together with blood.

“ I need medicine “ he told himself .

He sat in the bath more than an hour . Staring at the dim light .

He came outside and saw Michi , sitting there .

“ Michi , would you be there with me , in my worse times ?..... I guess you already doing that . I am a fool to ask .” He smiled . But smiling hurts too .

Dad shouldn’t have died on me .

His body was still sore but he ignored it , dragging his left foot outside in the hall .

He ran through his aunts medical aids , and found a painkiller , a cotton pad , a single bandage and an old expired antiseptic cream .

Everything can be used by him . He smiled , showing a large set of teeth .

His face was purple and his eye look more swollen from yesterday .

But he didn’t care.

He carefully bandaged his lip and regretted it , trying to bandage his head .

Not possible.

He removed it and tried to put on his cut cheek. But soon removed it when his knee hurt . And tried to paste the bandage there .

But the bandage already lost it’s grip .

He tried putting antiseptic cream on his lips and it burned so immediately removed it .

“It hurts like hell “ he said . He stared at the blank wall . And the light flickered . Several time. Before being cut . He tried to check it . But he remembered that his aunt didn’t paid the bill . He ran to check the bathroom tap . The water didn’t came out .

Price . He thought .

He went outside , what for ? Even he didn’t know . He stared at people , kissing their kids . And taking them to eat tasty meal .

His stomach growled .

“ it’s okay . Hmm ?” He patted his stomach .

He looked at a pregnant lady , he wanted to go to her and tell her it’s useless to give birth to a baby ?

Why ? He debated himself on his mind.

Because what if you died ? What will happen to the child ? Who will feed the kid.

He would feel betrayed and useless. He thought .

And smiled .

Rorry . He thought again .

He went to the same store , where he saw her .

The lady at the store eyed , the thin boy .

“ Aeeyaaa ... “ the lady called the boy .

He was startled , that he could be beaten again.

But she signed him to come near and when he came , she gave him a chocolate cake .

“ eat it . Boy .” She told him , patting his back .

“ where are your parents ?” She asked the thin boy .

“ no - not here .” He didn’t realized that it has been a while that he hasn’t spoken a single word , that he could not believe it’s his voice .

“ ohhhhh.... do you wanna work here ... you see I am an old lady .... I can’t keep up with people ...”

harness hesitated .

“ don’t worry I will pay you . “ she smiled .

He immediately nodded .

“ khol...... start today ?” The lady asked .

He nodded .

“ aaah . What’s your name ?” She asked him.

“ ha— haru.. “ he lied and blinked several times .

“ okay , haru , work okay ... I’ll come by 8 okay ?” The lady left the boy . He stood there . Not knowing what exactly he has to do .

Suddenly a boy entered the store . He picked up a bottle of water and gave haru , 3 bucks and left .

Haru looked at the money in his hand and smiled .

I earned . He smiled.

Days went by , and harness got better in his job and school .

A life with meaning he thought .

He bought food for cats and himself .

He would still stare at his rorry . Who would look at him with disgust .

But he was happy . For every reason he couldn’t be . His disgusted thoughts still played on him , when he would read his novel.

He would do schooling in the day and hold the store work , from afternoon to evening .

Now he had both light and water at home . He survived .

The lady was good . Which made him believe people are good .

But one evening . Mr. kento found the boy .

That evening , harness went home with some cat food in his hands , all the seven kittens now have grown to be young and beautiful cats .

While mr. kento waited in the dark street .

Harness went towards his home , not knowing the danger the street holds , when he was knocked out by mr. kento .

“ I lost the job , you fool .” Mr. kento screamed at the boy , who laid on the ground .

“ I knew you would come for me ... again ..” harness yelled back .

Mr. kento seemed surprised at the boy , “you seem to be licking an old mans feet “

He mocked the boy .

Harness clenched his fists but did not move .

He silently got up and now stood more taller than the man , and went inside his home , when mr. kento pushed the boy from behind . Making him fall with all the cat food scattering on the floor.

Wednesday hissed at the man .

“ leave ...” harness looked at the cat .

He doesn’t want to seem weak .

“ oh ? At least you have a company for yourself ... but what about me huh??? What would I do ? ..... who would give food to my kids ?” He kicked him in his stomach . But harness did not move .

He kicked him again while he only winced with pain . But did not say a thing .

Why ? He just want the things to end soon .

“ who ..” he kicked him . “ would .” He kicked again . “ give “ he Kicked again .

“ my kids “ he kicked harder now .

“ FOOD !” He kicked him on his face making his nose bleed .

Harness coughed and as soon as he saw blood he screamed . His body trembled .

And noises from the outside the house could be heard .
