The Third Prince

Lifting my head, I observed the man. He sitting in front of me was emmitting a very grand aura. Black hair, eyes the colour of the sky, sharp and gaze that was observing through each and every part of my body, and a chiselled and handsome face that anyone would fall for. He was wearing a black aristocratic suit, with a prussian blue jeweled brooch and necktie with white as the cloth colour.

"Sorry for the disturbance sir! Ome of the slaves from the stadium seems to have fallen into your carriage." came a voice from the outside of the carriage. "Are you perhaps injured? We'll take the troublesome slave at once and punish her for her mischief. We'll also make her apologize. "

Sensing danger ahead, I, at once, jumped toward the man in front of me, placing the dagger at his neck. Afterall this was the only way left now. "Tell those people outside to move, or I won't play nice. As soon as they leave, I'll let you go."

Agitated by my move the other man inside the carriage, who was apparently his guard, grabbed his sword and warned me. "Hey do you know who this is? You dare-".

"Don't move" I shouted. "Don't force me to hurt your leige."

Then the man whom I had grabbed said his guard to obey my word. Apparently the guard's name was Koziel. And Koziel called him His Highness.

He must be a noble.

Though Koziel seemed to be quite confused as to why the his leige had said to do so.

I removed my hand from his collar. Confused by my action he asked me why had I done so.

"You're no longer threatening me? Aren't you worried I might change my mind?" he said.

"When people are nervous, their muscles will react yet you remaind calm." being my answer. "You knew from the start that I wouldn't hurt you, right?"

"Correct. I can see that you are not stupid." he replied.

"Why are you helping me? Or rather, it's plain to see what's going on. So what do you want?"

"I need a pawn. A smart and strong pawn."

"What if I refuse?"

"You can choose to leave. I will pretend that nothing happened and let you go. However..."

He snapped his fingers once, when a sudden light appeared on the collar chain that was used to enslave me, breaking them into pieces.

The chains shattered?!

"...seeing as you don't have magic, I believe you'll have a difficult time surviving, especially as a slave. But, you're a clever girl. You should understand. You have no other options." he continued.

He was write. I had no such supernatural powers which he had referred to as magic. I also had to encounter it many times already, seeing as how recently I had arrived in this world. If I was caught, I would be as could as dead.

"You're right. I will go with you. But please at least tell me who you are and where will we be going." being my answer. This was the only condition I laid out.

By now the guard who was sent out to deal with the people outside had arrived. "Your Highness, I took care of the people outside." (Well he didn't kill anyone, he just had a chat with them.)

His message was followed by the voices of the people who were chasing me. "I didn't know it was the Third Prince!"

"You seem to have taken a liking to that slave. Feel free to take her." said the slave dealer. "It would be our honor."

The Third Prince? He's a Prince?!

I was quite shocked by the identity of the man at whom I had pointed a dagger seconds ago.

"Starting today, she is my woman." was what the Third Prince said as he stood up from his chair and held me in his left arm.

Because of the unexpected and peculiar announcement, everyone was in an uproar. Even his guard had the same reaction as others. And off course I was shocked too, even more then when I had found out about His Highness's identity.

???WHAT?! What is he plotting?

Glaring at me for a moment, the slave dealer uttered some words. "Your Highness, starting today, she is no longer a slave. She is not one nor will she be one in the future. She was never a slave. I've never met this woman before in my life."

"As long as you understand." said the Prince with a very cold tone.

"Congratulations, Your Highness." said the crowd as the carriage took off for its destination.
